The City of Chowchilla is seeking a Water System Worker I to assist in the operation and maintenance of the City’s water distribution system, including pumps, mains, chlorinators, meters, and other equipment; and perform related work as required on an assigned shift, under the general supervision of the Utilities Systems Supervisor and/or Director of Public Works.

The City of Stockton seeks to fill an Information Technology Supervisor position with primary responsibilities around Enterprise Applications. This position will be primarily responsible for maintaining enterprise applications, GIS applications, data integrations, budgeting,  and managing assigned staff within the Information Technology Department.  This Information Technology Supervisor is accountable for the leadership, facilitation, analysis, and design tasks required to ensure that assigned information systems at the City are evolving to providing value to the departments in a secure and cost-efficient way.

The incumbent will be responsible for developing strong plans and roadmaps on how the application portfolio meets the business needs in an efficient, cost-effective, resource-balanced and secure way to gain executive support and buy-in. Furthermore, the incumbent will be accountable for executing the roadmap to ensure the application portfolio provides value, meets cyber security standards, and is vendor supported.

The incumbent must be proficient in creating the documentation of current and future state, roadmaps, and transition plans that support application initiatives. The right candidate will maintain the application inventory in collaboration with the business users and recommend appropriate actions to maximize the value to the organization. It will be essential to keep up with the technology industry and market trends to determine their potential impact on the application portfolio. Knowledge and experience in both on-premise and cloud technology are paramount.  A strong understanding of how to apply modern cyber security principles to secure on-prem and cloud applications and associated data assets are the foundation of every deployment.

The incumbent will work closely with other supervisors and leaders in the IT department to coordinate activities to ensure software applications, hardware, virtualization, cloud deployment, and cyber tool deployments are successful and execution follows established methodical processes.

Information Technology Supervisors work a City of Stockton 9/80 schedule: 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays; 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with alternating Fridays off. May be required to work additional hours and/or weekends to provide critical support to key initiatives.

Incumbents in this position are excluded from the Civil Service system and are in a "for-cause" employment status represented by the Mid-Management/Supervisory bargaining unit. Only those applicants who best fit the needs of the City will be referred to the hiring department.

The City of Patterson is seeking an Executive Administrative Assistant who is a high energy professional with a pleasant demeanor to provide a variety of responsible high level administrative support to the City Manager and the Director of Human Resources. The position requires excellent prioritization skills, organizational skills, good judgement, the ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and provide excellent customer service to City employees, officials, and the public.

The City of Patterson’s Public Works Department is seeking to fill (1) one full-time Maintenance Worker position within the Urban Forestry division and to establish an eligibility list.  Duties include but are not limited to: Under supervision performs routine manual labor, maintenance, and repair tasks while learning to perform a full range of semi-skilled work required in maintenance, repair, operations and construction of related facilities, parks, streets, and services; performs other duties as assigned.

Successful candidates will be placed on an eligibility list that may be used to fill future vacancies in the City’s Urban Forestry, Parks, Streets, Collections or Building Maintenance Divisions.  Eligible lists may be valid for up to twelve months.

Summary Description

Under immediate supervision performs semi-skilled to skilled maintenance, repair, and construction work assigned to the streets division; operates maintenance and construction tools and equipment; performs a variety of maintenance tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.

Distinguishing Characteristics

This is the entry level class in the Street Maintenance Operator series. This class is distinguished from the Street Maintenance Operator II by the performance of the more routine tasks and duties assigned to workers in this series. Employees at this level are not expected to perform with the same independence of direction and judgment on matters related to established procedures and guidelines as are positions allocated to the II level. Since this class is typically used as a training class, employees may have only limited or non directly related work experience. Employees work under immediate supervision while learning job tasks.

Representative Duties

The following duties are typical for this classification. Incumbents may not perform all of the listed duties and/or may be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth below to address business needs and changing business practices.

1. Handle complaints and answer questions from the public.
2. Remove blight and illegal dumps from city property such as parks, right of ways, roadways, alleys, walkways, sidewalks and refuse disposal. 
3. Remove debris, shrubbery, brush, trash, tires, appliances, electronics, and miscellaneous items.
4. Make minor adjustments on service equipment; maintain tools and equipment in working order.
5. Abates graffiti.
6. Maintain logs of daily activities.
7. Assist in other areas as needed.
8. Perform related duties as required.
9. Repair and replace street surfaces, sidewalks, curbs, and gutters including back filling trenches and evacuations.
10. Perform the maintenance, repair, construction, and installation work of streets, storm drain, parking lots, street lights, traffic striping, and traffic control signs and signals.
11. Remove hazards from the roadway and other public rights of way.
12. Operate a variety of motorized equipment and specialized maintenance equipment.
13. Perform repaving, patching, overlaying, chuck hole, and crack sealing repair of asphalt.
14. Perform underground service alert locating, marking and notification.
15. Lay out and install traffic signs and pavement markings.
16. Repair and maintain storm drain lift stations.
17. Conduct traffic count surveys.
18. Maintain storm detention ponds, including cleaning, repairing, and spraying weeds.
19. Respond to hazardous materials spills.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Conduct investigations at scenes of incidents to which summoned, or incidents observed; determine what, if any, crime has been committed; identify, collect, preserve, process, and book evidence; locate and interview victims and witnesses; identify and interrogate suspects;

Detective Assignment

• Serve on assigned taskforce including gang or drug taskforce; gather knowledge about individuals or groups who are involved in criminal activity in order to understand how they function, describe their current activities, forecast future action they may undertake, and provide intelligence and resources that will eradicate criminal activity; coordinate and participate in multi-jurisdictional intelligence gathering and suppression operations;
• Receive, review, and analyze reports and case information on law enforcement activities requiring special and detailed investigations;
• Coordinate and conduct complete and detailed investigations of crimes involving juveniles and adults, crimes against persons and property including child and elder abuse claims, homicides, rape and assaults with deadly weapons, and crimes involving vice, gaming, and narcotics violations; follow cases from reporting, to arrest, to prosecution;
• Contact, interview, and interrogate victims, complainants, witnesses, suspects, and others involved in cases and incidents; obtain statements, documents, and factual and physical evidence;
• Collect, preserve, maintain, and book evidence and recovered property found that is involved with suspected crimes;
• Hold stakeouts, perform undercover activities, conduct surveillance activities, and other observation assignments;
• Prepare investigative reports and case information; recommend disposition of cases including to discuss recommended disposition of cases with legal authorities;
• Review information and evidence obtained for presentation in court cases; testify in court concerning evidence and facts gathered during the investigative process;
• Remain on-call during stipulated time periods to respond to incidents that will probably require major investigative follow-up and criminal identification work at the scene of the incident; and

Education and Experience Guidelines - Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

PATTERN I – ACADEMY LEVEL

• Must have successfully completed a POST certified basic academy not more than three (3) years prior to the date of application.
• Must possess or be eligible to possess a Proof of Eligibility (POE) or certificate (Basic, Intermediate, or Advanced) from California Peace Officer Standards and Training under SB 2.  Ineligibility or decertification from POST will automatically disqualify candidate from holding a peace officer classification.

Experience:

• Some work experience as a California peace officer or other work experience that demonstrates a general aptitude for police work.

PATTERN II –LATERAL TRANSFER

• Successfully completed (at any time) a California POST certified basic law enforcement academy: AND
• Must be currently employed in a California law enforcement agency with at least one (1) year of full-time experience as a sworn peace officer with a California law enforcement agency, and be eligible for appointment as a Peace Officer under Section 830.1 PC; AND
• Must possess a basic POST certificate issued by California Commission on Peace Officers Standards and Training or other documentation to substantiate your eligibility.
• Must possess or be eligible to possess a Proof of Eligibility (POE) or certificate (Basic, Intermediate, or Advanced) from California Peace Officer Standards and Training under SB 2.  Ineligibility or decertification from POST will automatically disqualify candidate from holding a peace officer classification.

In addition to either Pattern I & II 

License or Certificate:

• Graduate from high school or passage of high school level General Education Development (GED) test: AND
• Possess and maintain an appropriate, valid driver’s license; AND
• Not less than 21 years of age at time of appointment; AND

• Qualify for or possess a P.O.S.T. Basic Certificate upon completion of the probationary period; AND
• Must possess or be eligible to possess a Proof of Eligibility (POE) or certificate (Basic, Intermediate, or Advanced) from California Peace Officer Standards and Training under SB2.  Ineligibility or decertification from POST will automatically disqualify a candidate from holding a peace officer classification; AND

The Policy Advisor for Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) leads on all matters related to the County’s social services, public health, behavioral health, and child and senior welfare programs. This individual tracks policies, advocates for equitable investments in District 1, and helps design board actions that enhance public health, general welfare, and access to medical care and social support systems. This position reports to the Director of Policy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze HHSA initiatives and county programs related to the safety net, public health, behavioral health, homeless service, housing development, child welfare, and services for seniors and people with disabilities.
• Draft policy memos, board letters, and recommendations to address systemic inequities.
• Draft talking points and speeches that communicate the elected’s policies, priorities, and vision to constituents, stakeholders, and community leaders.
• Serve as a liaison to County departments, community-based organizations, and health justice advocates.
• Conduct research and communicate policy ideas in support of the elected’s legislative agenda.
• Coordinate with the Director of Community Engagement to elevate on-the-ground feedback.
• Provide support to the elected at community events coordinating scheduling, logistics, and constituent engagement.
• Track state and federal funding streams relevant to HHSA priorities.

The Multimedia Designer is responsible for shaping the visual identity and public-facing content of the Office of Supervisor Paloma Aguirre. This creative role includes capturing and producing photos and videos, managing graphic design, and overseeing the visual design and functionality of the Supervisor’s website and digital communications. The ideal candidate has strong creative and technical skills and is committed to community-centered storytelling. This position reports to the Director of Communications. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, capture, and edit photography and video content for events, announcements, and social media.
• Design flyers, infographics, reports, and branded materials for public distribution.
• Maintain and update the website's visual layout, graphic assets, and visual consistency.
• Collaborate with the Communications Director and Digital Communications Specialist to ensure brand alignment across platforms.
• Archive and catalog media content for future use.
• Assist with livestreaming, lighting, audio, and other media production tasks at press conferences and events.
• Assist with rapid-response visual content during breaking news, emergencies, or policy rollouts.
• Create culturally competent and community-informed visual content that reflects the diversity of the district.
