The Division
The Fremont Family Resource Center (FRC) Division of the Human Services Department provides core services to a unique and innovative collaborative of more than 20 State, County, City of Fremont and non-profit organizations co-located and working together to serve individuals, families, and children, in southern Alameda County. THE POSITION Under general supervision, this non-sworn, non-peace officer position performs assignments involving responsible public contact work in crime prevention and delivers non-emergency police services; to include Public Safety (emergency/non-emergency) Radio Comm for Police & Fire responders; also performs related duties as required.

Monthly Salary: $8,419 to $11,416, and up to $13,128 in incentives

A Dispatcher II is a civilian employee of the Police Department who performs a variety of tasks in the Department’s Support Services Division. The Dispatcher II acts as the Department’s primary dispatcher, receiving and relaying incoming calls for emergency and non-emergency assistance; dispatching police units; operating a variety of telecommunications equipment including radio, telephone, and computer-aided dispatch systems; status monitoring, records and file maintenance in a computer-aided environment; and entry level dispatch training.
Under direction of the Deputy City Manager, the Recycling and Solid Waste Program Manager plans, organizes, directs and participates in the administration of multiple integrated solid waste management contracts and programs within the City Manager’s Office; represents the City and provides staff support for a variety of intergovernmental committees, subcommittees and authorities.
