SUMMER DAY CAMP POSITIONS

PROGRAM LEADER (SUMMER CAMP COUNSELOR)

Salary Range: $17.37 to $23.15/hour

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must be at least 15 years of age and up, and have experience working with youth in a recreation setting.  Energetic, self-motivated, creative, and organized.  Ability to work as part of a team.

SUPERVISION 
Under the general supervision of the Program Coordinator and direct supervision of the Summer Camp Site Leader, Summer Camp Counselors are responsible for implementing the curriculum for one of the Town’s day camp programs which offer youth and teen daily activities including arts, crafts, games, field trips and special events.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES 

• Plan and lead arts, crafts and games according to the theme of the week. 
• Serve as a mentor and role model to campers. 
• Work as part of a team of leaders. 
• Safely and appropriately supervise campers on off-site field trips. 
• Use positive discipline and communicate effectively with parents/guardians.

Applicants must be high school graduates and have experience working with youth in a recreation setting.  Energetic, self-motivated, creative, and organized.  Able to work as part of a team.  This is a Monday through Friday, 20 to 37.5-hour position that requires open availability.   

SUPERVISION 
Under the general supervision of the Program Coordinator, the Summer Camp Site Manager is responsible for on-site supervision of staff and participants of multiple camps located at the same site.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES  

• Serve as a mentor and role model to campers.
• Work as part of a team of camp leaders.
• Safely and appropriately supervise campers on off-site field trips.
• Use positive discipline and communicate effectively with parents/guardians.
• Coordinate camp activity rotation schedule and site logistics to ensure efficient operations.

About the Commission: The San Francisco Ethics Commission was created by the City’s voters with the passage of Proposition K in November 1993. ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Deputy Director will oversee department-wide administrative operations and strategic initiatives including organizational planning, program performance, budget development, financial accounting, procurement, contracting, human resources, recruitment, and other administrative functions. This role will supervise three staff members in the Operations Division and closely collaborate with other staff to achieve the Commission’s strategic goals.

The Deputy Director must be willing to forego involvement in all local political activity while a member of the Commission staff and publicly file an annual Statement of Economic Interests (Form 700).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Essential duties of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

• Establish and implement departmental goals, policies, and strategic plans as directed by the Executive Director.
• Develop and maintain a broad understanding of the Commission’s laws, policies, programs, procedures, and operations.
• Oversee daily administrative operations of the department including financial management, procurement, accounting, payroll, and related office operations.
• Effectively plan, coordinate, supervise, and evaluate the work of direct reports.
• Manage the department’s hiring initiatives including tracking vacancies, producing hiring-related documents, coordinating recruitment functions with staff and DHR, and supporting onboarding activities.

• Prepare management reports, annual reports, agency publications, and financial reports to provide regular progress updates regarding departmental goals and operations. Provide presentations at Commission meetings as needed.
• Maintain information on the Commission’s website, including budget, operational reports, and Commission information, in compliance with the City’s language access and digital inclusion standards.

• Support Commission-related operations including assisting with public meetings and onboarding new Commissioners.
• Act on behalf of the Executive Director when requested to provide business continuity for other programmatic and business functions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, AND
• Two (2) years of managerial experience in governmental ethics, campaign financing, and/or lobbying laws and regulations, all of which must include supervisory experience.

Substitution: Additional experience as described above may substitute for the required degree on a year for year basis up to a maximum of two (2) years.

Desired Qualifications

• A Master's degree in public administration, business administration, public policy, or a closely related field of study, or a juris doctor degree.

• Two or more years of demonstrated experience with public sector management, budgeting, financial accounting, procurement, contracting, and/or recruitment functions.
• Experience in the fields of campaign finance and governmental ethics.
• Experience working objectively, efficiently, and effectively under strict deadlines and highly visible, sensitive, or politicized settings.

San Mateo County Health is seeking a well-qualified individuals for the position of Environmental Health Specialist IV - Consumer Protection Programs. Environmental Health Specialist will receive general supervision and provide lead direction in performing various countywide environmental health inspection and enforcement activities in one of the several specialized technical areas such as consumer protection, food sanitation, recreational water, water, sewage, land use, and cross connection control; vector control; solid waste; medical waste; and housing and institutions.

There is currently one regular vacancy that will function as a Food Plan Check Specialist within the Environmental Health Division Food and Pool Programs, located in San Mateo, but the position will include travel/driving throughout the county to perform duties of the job.

Environmental Health Services ensures a safe and healthful environment in the County's 20 cities and unincorporated areas through education, monitoring and enforcement of a variety of regulatory programs, as well as ongoing services to the community.

Duties within the Consumer Protection Programs include:

SRFECC is preparing for a Dispatcher Academy, beginning February 2026! As a Dispatcher I, you will be a key player in the public safety network, managing both emergency and non-emergency calls. Dispatch Operations:

The Recreation Department provides programs and activities for Colma residents of all ages ranging from infants to seniors.  Program elements include fitness, enrichment, cultural events, special events, sporting events, trips, and community events.  It is the goal of the Recreation Services Department to offer a balanced program ensuring all elements are offered to all age groups throughout the year.

Under the direction of the Director of Nutrition Services, perform a variety of duties related to the shipping, receiving, storing and issuing of District supplies, equipment, mail and food; maintain and prepare related records and reports; drive a District vehicle to various locations to pick up and deliver goods.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:
The Warehouse Worker/Delivery Driver classification is the entry and first working level of this series. 
Employees at this level perform a variety of duties related to the shipping, receiving, storing and issuing of District supplies, equipment, mail and food. Incumbents drive a District vehicle along an assigned route. The Senior Warehouse Worker/Delivery Driver classification performs the more complex warehousing and record keeping duties and participates in the shipping, receiving, storing and issuing of District supplies, equipment, mail and food. Employees at this level may provide direction and training to employees in the Warehouse Worker/Delivery Driver classification.

ABOUT THE POLICE DEPARTMENT

The Woodland Police Department is staffed with 71 sworn officers, 18 professional employees, and 8 part-time temporary professional employees. Our staffing is expected to expand in size as the City grows. The Department is managed by a Chief of Police, a Deputy Chief, 4 Lieutenants, 10 Sergeants, and a Police Records Supervisor. The Department has three Bureaus; Patrol, Investigations, and Community Relations. Police Officers are assigned to all Bureaus where they work in various capacities and teams.   Within the Bureaus are many specialty units including K-9, Traffic/Motors, School Resource Officers, Gang Task Force, Detectives, and Homeless Outreach Street Team.  There are a number of collateral duties available to officers including SWAT, Crisis Negotiations Team, Field Training Officer, Honor Guard, Arrest & Control Instructors, Firearms Instructors, Gang Resistance Education, and Training (G.R.E.A.T) instructors, Social Media Team, Recruitment, and Bicycle Patrol. The Woodland Police Department prides itself on being a service-orientated agency using a Community Oriented Policing model and Intelligence-Led Policing (ILP) strategy. The Woodland Police Department welcomes and practices constant community engagement, outreach, and activism. The City's Police Activities League (PAL) was formed and is led by Woodland Police personnel who place an emphasis on providing accessible and healthy activities for the city's youth.

Woodland is a city of approximately 60,000 residents. Incorporated in 1871, Woodland is conveniently located on I-5 just 12 miles northwest of Sacramento and 9 miles north of U.C. Davis.
