This position is a working level civilian class in law enforcement, performing a variety of        non-sworn duties in support of law enforcement activities.  Incumbents may perform civil, code enforcement, and criminal services including a variety of routine to more complex non-sworn law enforcement and crime prevention work including patrolling assigned areas, answering calls for service and complaints, serving civil papers, providing court room security; and enforcing local ordinances related to public safety and welfare.  As a County Services Officer he/she will enforce Division 14 of the Agricultural Code of the State of California and enforce the County ordinance governing the animal and rabies control program, in an effort to maintain public safety and welfare.  This position is scheduled for forty (40) hours per week.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Process and serve documents involved in civil actions including summons, complaints, claims of plaintiffs and orders; declarations and orders of examinations, Notice of Entries of Judgments, civil and criminal subpoenas, Notice to Vacate Rental Premise and process writs of execution including the preparation of orders for wage garnishment. Works with other law enforcement agencies in matters related to the investigation of crimes and apprehension of offenders.

• Prepares various reports and case files on investigations, issues citations and warnings for violations of ordinances; files charges with District Attorney as appropriate; testifies and presents evidence in court.

This position provides essential case management services to support individuals and families in accessing community resources and services. HHSA Case Manager I is an entry-level, training-focused role that performs routine case management duties under close supervision. HHSA Case Manager II is the journey-level classification and performs the full range of case management functions, including direct client contact and complex cases, with greater independence and professional judgment. This position may work in one or more Public Health programs such as Women, Infants and Children (WIC) and/or health initiatives related to health equity, health care systems, and social determinants of health. This is an in-person position is scheduled for forty (40) hours per week.

JOB DUTIES

• Assists public health nurses in coordinating and conducting community events, such as immunization clinics; assists with screening process, initial assessments, clinic immunization records management, tracking and appropriate reporting.
• Provides case management through individual or group rehab methods for children and/or adults for a variety of health services programs and services.
• Coordinates services with individuals, coordinates activities with other departments, medical providers, social workers, schools and/or other outreach agencies as appropriate to ensure that the needs of the clients are met.
• Performs general administrative/office work as required, including but not limited to copying and filing documents, preparing/typing documents, answering the telephone, faxing information, entering computer data, attending meetings, ordering supplies, maintaining office cleanliness, etc.

Glenn County is recruiting an individual to fill a full time position in the Public Works Agency. The Public Works Maintenance Worker I/II/III position performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled labor in the construction, maintenance and repair of County roads, bridges, and other related structures, and in various traffic control maintenance and  repair activities of the Public Works Agency; operates a variety of construction, maintenance and transportation equipment as necessary to complete daily tasks at the Glenn County Public Works Agency. The Public Works Maintenance Worker III position is the journey-level class in the series, and is distinguished from the Public Works Maintenance Worker II by the primary responsibility to operate heavy diesel and gasoline-powered construction equipment in the maintenance of roadways, drainage systems. 
 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Prepares roads for patch repairs, overlays, or chip seals; prepares mix for patching roads; repairs and reconstructs roads.
• Cleans roadsides and drainage systems; inspects and clears debris from drainage systems; conducts roadside burning as needed.
• Prunes trees and other vegetation as needed.
• Directs and controls traffic around work sites.
• Operates semi-trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, boom truck, front loader, rollers, snow plow, etc.; operates a compressor, sand blasters, jack hammer, chipper machine, welding equipment, cutting torch, compaction tools, weed eater, blower, and other hand and power tools.

II-  $21.77 - $26.47 Per Hour
III- $22.89 - $27.83 Per Hour

This position performs a variety of highly complex technical para-professional administrative duties in support of fiscal and accounting procedures, including budget preparation and auditing a variety of financial records under limited supervision. This position will require thorough knowledge of accounting terminology and procedures. The position is full-time, and scheduled for forty (40) hours per week. 

JOB DUTIES

• Coordinates services and repairs with maintenance staff and/or vendors; conducts inspections, investigations, or interviews as needed to identify problems.
• Enters data into computer systems and maintains information systems database; enter data, processes transactions, assess and validates data, compiles documentation, examines, reconciles and adjusts financial records and reports.
• Tracks progress of projects, payments, expenditures, and reimbursements. 
• Creates, maintains, and monitors facility related agreements and contracts with outside vendors and contractors; monitors vendor/contractor/landlord performance, ensuring discrepancies or problems are resolved and work is done in accordance with contractual requirements

The Auditor-Controller Manager is distinguished by the level of responsibility of managing multiple components of accounting, administrative and auditing systems, fiscal staff development, and program analysis. This position is scheduled for forty (40) hours per week. This recruitment may be used to establish a list to fill future vacancies for the next six (6) months.

Plans, develops, and evaluates Auditor-Controller Division’s goals, objectives, policies and procedures; interprets laws and regulations; develops systems and standards for program evaluation; assures the Auditor-Controller Division’s activities follow all applicable laws, policies and regulations. Directs the Auditor-Controller Division’s operations; evaluates issues and recommends solutions; prioritizes and assigns projects; identifies and communicates strategies, goals and objectives. Assists the Director of Finance with the accuracy and quality of the County budget expenditures tax accounting, general accounting and reporting documents, and the Auditor-Controller Division’s work products. Assists the Director of Finance with the preparation and administration of the County budget; directs the auditing function of the Auditor-Controller Division in the performance of audits of County departments and Special Districts. Consults with and assists the Director of Finance in the planning, coordinating and administration of the Auditor-Controller Division. Performs the most difficult and complex accounting tasks in the Auditor-Controller division, including preparing financial audits, reports and statements.

Upon successful completion of POST Academy, the position becomes a full-time probationary Police Officer position.

Under direct supervision, the Police Academy Recruit attends a basic Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certified training academy to obtain the basic skills and fitness level necessary for the performance of Police Officer duties.  This position requires a thorough background investigation, psychological assessment, and a medical exam prior to appointment. This is the non-sworn, entry-level classification in the Police Officer series. Incumbents in this classification receive training in a controlled classroom environment.  Advancement to the sworn Police Officer position is based on meeting minimum qualification standards and satisfactory performance in the academy.

DEFINITION: Plan, organize and execute personal curriculum for elementary age children for a one hour onsite outdoor enrichment program. Program hours could include Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 2pm – 4pm and Wednesday 1:15pm – 3:15pm, preparation hours can be discussed.

TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: Any combination of education, training, and experience, which likely provides the required knowledge and abilities.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS: Candidates receiving a conditional job offer must pass a pre-placement fingerprint review. Candidates must possess a current CPR/AED and First Aid certificate and be comfortable calling 911 in an emergency.

This position is expected to be active from approximately May through November.  The actual start and end dates will be dependent on weather and snow conditions and may be extended beyond 6 months, but no more than 9 months from the employment start date.  The eligibility list established from this recruitment will be used to fill current and future vacancies. Successful applicants will serve an important role on the Fire Prevention team.

The Defensible Space Inspector works under the direct supervision of the Division Chief of Fire and Life Safety or their designee.

The North Tahoe Fire Protection District is currently accepting applications for current and future job openings from qualified individuals to serve on the chipping crew. These positions are grant-funded, seasonal positions assigned to a 40-hour work week. These positions are returning to the fire district in 2025, and we’ll be hiring three people to operate the chipping crew.  This position is expected to be active from approximately May through November.  The actual start and end dates will be dependent on weather and snow conditions and may be extended beyond 6 months, but no more than 9 months from the employment start date.  The eligibility list established from this recruitment will be used to fill current and future vacancies.  

The Chipping Crew Members work under the direct supervision of the Division Chief of Fire and Life Safety or their designee.  

The primary purpose of this crew is to operate a residential chipping program for the local community. This includes responding to chipping requests, traveling to those addresses with a truck and chipper, chipping the material, ensuring a clean site upon leaving, potentially hauling and dumping the material at a temporary holding site, assisting with loading, and ensuring activities are adequately tracked. The applicant must be comfortable working in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions and lifting objects frequently up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.  Chipping crew members will also assist with community workdays utilizing the truck and chipper or assisting with cutting and hauling combustible materials and filling green waste dumpsters.
