This Senior Management Analyst position for the workforce Development Program is a highly independent, technical training and development professional. The selected candidate is expected to exercise sound analytical judgment, inform critical decision-making, and provide high-quality training services to Valley Water employees at all levels-from new hires to executive leadership.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of instructional design principles, including the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model or similar models and be familiar with tools commonly used by workforce development teams, such as Learning Management systems (LMs) and Performance Management platforms. The position also provides backup support to the team's Help Desk by responding to employee questions and conducting research to deliver accurate, timely assistance. The incumbent must be comfortable developing documents, manuals, and guides and have a strong grasp of technical writing best practices. This role requires a high degree of initiative, organization, collaboration, problem solving, and technical savvy to successfully support the delivery of Valley Water's learning and workforce development strategy.

Ideal Training and Education:

The City of San José Information Technology Department (ITD) seeks a Cybersecurity Analyst (Enterprise Supervising Technology Analyst) to support new and existing initiatives in the Cybersecurity Office. The position will focus on Risk Mitigation as well as Identity & Access Management with exposure and support on all aspects of the Cybersecurity practice, including cross-support.

Salary Information: The final candidate's qualifications and experience shall determine the actual salary. In addition to the starting salary, employees in the Enterprise Supervising Technology Analyst (ESTA) classification shall also receive an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable compensation pay.

Electrician I is the entry-level class in the Electrician series. Incumbents are provided with training and experience to develop the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the full range of installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.

Electrician II is the journey level class in the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment, working independently under general supervision.

Electricians are responsible for installing, maintaining , testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and operating high and low voltage/amperage electrical components, systems and equipment including locating problems; determining appropriate courses of action; and coordinating repairs with affected parties. They design, fabricate, and install electrical systems and components and install wiring and electrical equipment, ensuring code compliance. Overview:

The Program Administrator (Contracts Supervisor) plans, organizes, supervises, and coordinates the procurement by contract of professional consultant services (architectural engineering "A/E" and non-A/E consultants) and specialized Valley Water activities, and coordinates and oversees contract administration activities.  The Program Administrator works on contracts that are highly complex and sensitive in nature, where substantial judgment and initiative are essential in making recommendations and resolving problems. This is a management and leadership position with oversight of a team of contract professionals. This position reports to the Manager of the Purchasing and Consultant Contracts Unit, within the General Services Division.

• 3+ years of increasingly responsible supervisory experience of staff is preferred.

The Information Technology Department is recruiting for a Business Analyst within the City Products-Projects-Portfolio Office (C3PO).

The Business Analyst will play a crucial role in analyzing and documenting business processes, identifying needs, and providing data-driven recommendations to improve the organization's efficiency and productivity.

The position will also lead and perform usability and accessibility work on digital service delivery analysis and/or improvement. This position will play a key role in ensuring new services are developed to bridge access, language, and ease of use barriers experienced disproportionately by underserved portions of our community.

The Department of Planning and Development is currently recruiting for one (1) Senior Planner that will serve as the County of Santa Clara’s Agricultural Permitting Ally.

With 890 farms, over 288,000 acres of land, and over $310 million of produce, Santa Clara County’s vibrant community is composed of a diverse, multicultural population with agriculture that is driven by dedicated farmers and farmworkers who call Santa Clara County home. The County is seeking a new and key team player with general planning experience as well as a strong agricultural planning acumen to serve as an agricultural permitting ally (Senior Planner). A Senior Planner in this role would help farmers understand what rules and regulations apply to agricultural worker housing and would help applicants navigate the various permits and departmental approvals that are required. As an ally for agricultural permitting, this Senior Planner would focus on making the process of development more approachable and accessible and will explore options and alternatives with prospective applicants to provide housing on their farm or ranch, or establish new or expanded agricultural producing businesses, while maintaining the asset of agriculturally viable land throughout the rural unincorporated county areas. The agricultural permitting ally is a unique role that will be responsible for assisting farmers with agricultural worker housing and other agricultural-specific permitting, including but not limited to: assisting farmers through the County of Santa Clara’s building permitting process; helping farmers resolve code violations and maintain compliance with land use and building codes and standards; identifying opportunities for streamlining agricultural worker housing; promoting and supporting the production of safe and livable housing inventory for agricultural workers through the County of Santa Clara; and, working with local, state, and federal partners to connect farmers with resources. Employment Standards
