MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Training:

• Equivalent to graduation from an accredited U.S. high school OR passing score on the General Education Development (GED) test; OR Possession of a two-year, four-year, or advanced degree from an accredited college or university.
• College coursework in police science, criminal justice, or a related field is desirable.

Experience:

• Completion of a P.O.S.T.-certified training academy.

Special Requirements:

• Must be of good moral character with no felony convictions.

Out-of-State Candidates:

• The California Commission on Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST) will conduct an evaluation of all out-of-state training.
• POST is the sole authority on applicable training and determines whether the candidate must attend an abbreviated academy or a regular police academy.

Role description

Under general supervision, assists in analyzing, planning, implementing, maintaining, troubleshooting and enhancing large complex systems or networks consisting of a combination that may include mainframes, mini-computers, personal computers, mobile devices, LANS, WANs, servers, data storage and the physical and logical components that integrate these systems together as an enterprise networking backbone. 

The 1042 Security Engineer is the journey level position in the Engineer series. The class is distinguished from the Senior level by the complexity of the tasks, projects or duties assigned, and is more independent than the Assistant level. This classification performs a wide range of complex analytical, design, planning, implementation, enhancement and problem resolution tasks on large complex systems and networks. Works within a framework of established procedures and interprets policies, procedures and guidelines. This level may formulate recommendations consistent with directives, policies, standards and regulations. Incumbents require only occasional instruction or assistance. Work is reviewed upon completion and for overall results. Serves as a technical architect and systems integrator for large complex systems or networks, with a focus on securing vulnerabilities and reducing risk of system and/or asset compromises.

Essential Duties:
 

1. Determine requirements for the development environment and / or enhancement for large complex systems that serve HSA’s programs. May research and conduct feasibility studies on new technologies.
2. Design, plan, integrate, test, implement, document and enhance large complex systems. This may involve the analysis, coding (.NET C#, Cold Fusion), web application design, database design, and evaluation of systems software, hardware and communications strategies.
3. Perform systems integration for interoperability over dissimilar platforms and technologies. This may involve the integration of various protocols and systems software.
4. Determine the proper installation parameters for software for smooth integration and efficiency in relation to the enterprise system and network.
5. Write code to customize large systems software which may involve specialized programming languages.
6. Read and understand requirements documentation and other documentation in order to write code to implement the required features for application systems.
7. Analyze, detect, identify and correct complex systems software or hardware deficiencies. Analyze, research and debug program logic and systems; modify program logic; analyze service requests for system changes or new requirements to determine the most effective approach and the appropriate staff time required to achieve the needed modification.
8. Provide emergency technical support for application issues to ensure system availability and data integrity. May provide on-call support to ensure rapid recovery from software or hardware problems for mission-critical systems and networks.
9. Act as the liaison between vendors, technical support hot-lines and departments to resolve complex systems. Coordinate and implement corrective measures; this may involve site visits, telephone assistance, remote systems and participation in technical committees.
10. Facilitate the demonstration and training of staff in the use of new hardware or software products.
11. Document procedures and troubleshooting techniques related to systems software and hardware; develop technical documentation and review documentation prior to general distribution.
12. Plan, develop and implement backup and recovery procedures for large systems.
13. Communicate with managers regarding system performance and operational issues. Suggest improvements to management.
14. Research and test new software technologies; report results; recommend software purchases. Learn and implement the new technologies that are brought in. Coordinate and work with vendors when needed. 
15. Attend meetings, workshops, and demonstrations; perform duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Part-Time position: variable hours; evenings and weekends

Pay Rate: starting at $18.13 an hour

Summary:
Under general supervision, performs a variety of custodial tasks and provides oversight of rental groups, in accordance with District policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist patrons and prospective participants on the phone and in-person
• Assist permit groups with set-up and breakdown of tables, chairs, and other equipment
• Promptly open and unlock facilities or close and secure facilities as scheduled
• Complete facility condition forms following permit group use and incident reports as needed
• Notify management concerning need for major repairs or additions
• Turn athletic field lights off and on for sports groups
• Sell and scan admission tickets special events and/or theater performances

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

• Sweep floors, vacuum carpets, and dust or polish furniture, fixtures, and equipment
• Wash windows, clean restrooms, replenish supplies, and sanitize high touch areas often
• Empty waste receptacles and remove any trash or debris found throughout facility
• May assist with conducting recreation classes
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Responsibilities

Qualifications Summary

Camp Directors- 30 college units completed preferred, with at least 1,500 hours of related experience
Senior Camp Counselor- 15 college units completed preferred, 500 hours of related experience preferred
Recreation Leader- 15 college units completed preferred, 500 hours of related experience preferred
Camp Counselors- High School Diploma (or GED), 250 hours of related experience preferred
 

Successful candidates must pass Department of Justice fingerprint and
Tuberculosis (TB) screening clearances prior to the start of employment.  

Hourly range: $24.57 - $29.87/hour

Part-time position: up to 30 hours per week; primarily Monday - Friday  (may include evening/weekend hours)

Summary

Under general supervision, the Marketing Assistant assists in the planning and organization of registration, marketing, publicity, and community outreach efforts in accordance with District policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of social media strategies and campaigns
• Assist in the administration and maintenance of the District’s website
• Compile and maintain distribution lists for mailings and electronic communications
• Solicit feedback from participants and visitors through online surveys and distribute relevant response data to staff in the District units
• Promote District events, activities, facilities, and other special projects
• Support staff in District Units in the development of news releases, special event flyers/brochures, community announcements, project-based communications, or other communication methods
• Assist with the registration process, including the administration and maintenance of the software
• Assist in the preparation and distribution of the Recreation Division Program Guides
• Answer, screen, and route phone calls from the public

Other Duties and Responsibilities

• May drive a District or personal vehicle to deliver materials or attend meetings
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty* satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

Education/Experience: A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: graduation from high school or GED and at least 2,000 hours of relevant work or volunteer experience, with at least 30 college units completed in recreation or a related field. An associate degree is preferred. Must be at least 18 years old. Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, Canva, and a variety of social media platforms. 

Language Ability: Ability to communicate effectively in English in both written and oral form. Ability to write routine correspondence using correct spelling and grammar.

Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, fractions and decimals.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to use common sense and excerise good judgement in solving problems. Ability to establish effective relationships with fellow employees, volunteers and participants and parents/guardians.

Certificates and Licenses: 

• Pediatric First Aid & CPR/AED within 90 days of employment 
• A valid California Driver's License with a good driving record and current automobile insurance
• Department of Justice fingerpring clearance
• Proof of a negative TB skin test

Supervisory Responsibilities:  There are no supervisory responsibilities.

San Mateo County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS) is seeking a well-qualified individual for the position of Psychologist I/II-Behavioral Health and Recovery Services. 

There is currently one vacancy on the Central County Adult Mental Health Clinic team in San Mateo.

 

In this position, the psychologist will work as part of a dynamic, multicultural and multidisciplinary team, supporting our culturally diverse San Mateo residents who are diagnosed with a Serious Mental Illnesses and Co-Occurring Disorders.

This Psychologist will conduct admission assessments and evaluation, provide individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, case management, and rehabilitation services to a caseload of adults diagnosed with a serious mental illness.  The Psychologist will also support the psychology doctoral student program and the MSW/MFT graduated internship program at the clinic and provide students with supervision and provide clinical consultation. The Psychologist will work with the team in appropriate discharge planning and coordination of care with other community based organizations.
 
In this position, the psychologist will also administer psychological testing to a small number of clients referred from other BHRS Adult outpatient clinics.

Psychologist I is the entry level class in the Psychologist series, providing professional psychological diagnostic and therapeutic services in a county program. Work is generally of a routine nature requiring more direct supervision for the more complex cases. This class is flexibly staffed with Psychologist II and incumbents are expected to advance to the higher level after gaining experience and demonstrating the required proficiency.
 
Psychologist II is the fully experienced journey level class in the Psychologist series providing a full range of professional psychodiagnostic, psychotherapeutic, consultant and training and research work in a comprehensive community mental health program with a high degree of skill and independence.
