ABOUT THE POSITION
If you are passionate about ensuring quality and safety in engineering projects and want to make a real difference in the community, we have an excellent opportunity for you. The City of Gilroy is currently recruiting a full-time Engineering Technician/Inspector at level I or II or III (depending on experience and qualifications) for the Engineering Division of the Public Works Department. The position will support the engineering staff with technical tasks for public works improvements, public works projects, and land development projects, and will entail a mix of technician and inspection duties. The goal of the Engineering Division is to promote a better quality of life for those who live, work, and visit the city of Gilroy through the provision of efficient engineering services and the creation of orderly growth and development within the city.

EXAMPLES OF ONGOING PROJECTS

• Provide inspection support to various Capital Improvement Projects, to include water and wastewater projects. 
• Coordinate inspection efforts with consultants and outside agencies.
• Process and review various public works permits.
• Administer the Sidewalk Repair Program.

NOTE: To foster teamwork and collaboration in the department, organization-wide, and in the community, this full-time position works on-site/in-person. Remote work is not an available option. 

The Town of Truckee is seeking a full-time Senior Accountant to perform a wide variety of duties for the Administrative Services Department including advanced level accounting, financial reporting and studies, assisting with budget preparation and annual audits, grant administration, and other complex analytics assistance as needed. Experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree; local government fund accounting experience is preferred; CPA license is a plus. Exceptional benefits package. ABOUT THE POSITION
The City of Gilroy is currently recruiting for a full-time Environmental or Civil Engineer to ensure sustainable water solutions and make a positive impact on public health and our environment. In this exciting opportunity you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing water treatment processes and help develop sustainable practices that ensure clean, safe water for our community. Your expertise will help us enhance our wastewater systems, improve potable water quality, and expand our recycled water initiatives. 

The Environmental/Civil Engineer is primarily assigned to the South County Regional Wastewater Authority (SCRWA) treatment plant. The SCRWA plant has won multiple awards at both the regional and state levels, and is undergoing expansion from 8.5 MGD to 11 MGD capacity. Tasks include permitting, reporting, planning, coordinating, and directing the design, investigation, development, operation, and construction of a wide variety of civil and environmental engineering wastewater projects. Assignments may also relate to wastewater collection, recycled water, and potable water. The Incumbent will need to work effectively with the Senior Environmental Engineer, staff from the cities of Gilroy and Morgan Hill, Santa Clara Valley Water District, the Regional Water Quality Control Board, SCRWA legal counsel, and the general public.

The Position: 

SVP is seeking Journey Line workers that have the ability to perform routine and emergency work maintaining and expanding SVP’s electric transmission and distribution system, including but not limited to: 
- Perform electrical installation and repair work and to construct and maintain overhead and underground electric distribution and transmission system; 
- Think and act appropriately and quickly in emergencies; 
- Maintain good public relations; 
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; 
- Work from electrical plans and detailed drawings; 
- Input data using computer programs for documenting electric facility maintenance and inspection findings; 
- Effectively train and supervise others;

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

- Graduation from high school or possession of a G.E.D.; and

- Completion of a recognized three-year apprenticeship program as a Lineworker is required.

LICENSE & CERTIFICATION

- Possession of a valid California Class A Driver's license is required, or

- Possession of a valid California Class C license at the time of appointment and the ability to obtain a California Class A license within six months of employment

- Incumbents in this position are required to become rubber glove certified as a condition of holding the classification of Journey Lineworker within nine (9) months of appointment.

 

SPECIAL CONDITIONS & REQUIREMENTS

- Incumbents of this classification may be required to work outside their regularly scheduled hours, and to be available for emergency and/or pre-arranged work whenever called upon.

- Incumbents of this classification may be subject to drug and/or alcohol testing as mandated by federal regulations.
