Oversee the construction phase of public works projects by conducting field inspections and performing highly responsible and technical liaison work among contractors and staff involved in public works construction. Maintain written and photographic records of construction progress. Assist in administering construction contracts during implementation by inspecting and verifying work and assisting in preparation and processing of change orders, requests for payment, and related documents.

The Position
The City of Fremont is seeking applicants to fill full-time, temporary positions within the Fremont Urban Forestry Service Corps. These positions are paid and have a five-month duration, starting February 3, 2025, and ending June 27, 2025. These positions work five days a week in small cohorts completing a combination of in-class learning and in-the-field service projects.
Examples of Duties
A Responsible individual is needed to maintain and enforce proper city procedures and policies in our parks, parking lots and ball fields. Park monitors will perform park inspections and enforce park policies, supervise patrons, renters and daily facility management.
Responsible individual is needed to maintain and enforce proper city procedures and policies for our CAREavan Safe Overnight Parking program. This program allows families and individuals currently living in their vehicles a safe place to park overnight. Safe Overnight Parking Attendants would perform site inspections and enforce site policies, supervise participants, and manage each CAREavan facility.
Under general supervision of the Program Coordinator, staff is responsible for planning and implementing daily age-appropriate activities including crafts, games, songs, drama, storytelling, and supervised play.
