The Position

The Multipurpose Senior Service Program (MSSP) Case Manager will perform professional and clinical social work tasks and duties for older adults living with complex medical conditions to assist them to obtain optimum health, financial, and/or social services. As a member of the Human Services Department, this position reports to a Clinical Supervisor in the Aging and Family Services Division.

This is a regular, part-time position (32 hours/week) and will receive pro-rated benefits.

Examples of Job Duties

• Manage a caseload of 28-32 clients comprised of older individuals with complex medical conditions.
• Conduct comprehensive client assessments and develop and monitor service plan.
• Collaborate with team members, Human Services programs, and community agencies.
• Conduct home visits and provide other community interventions.
• Conduct inter-agency and/or family conferences.
• Advocate for clients in accessing services.
• Monitor services provided for each client.
• Maintain timely electronic documentation of services, reporting, and billing.
• Participate in peer chart audits and outside audit preparation.
• Prepare and present training, outreach, and educational sessions and materials.

The Facility Attendant performs custodial duties related to the care and cleaning of assigned facilities, performs a wide variety of duties for events, classes and programs, including setting up and tearing down of tables, chairs, equipment and supplies and will perform minor maintenance and repairs as needed.

EXAMPLES OF IMPORTANT AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Provide friendly and professional customer service by greeting Community Center visitors, serving as a main point of contact during activities and events primarily in evenings, weekends and special events.

Performs custodial duties at assigned facilities which include, but are not limited to cleaning, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, waxing, stripping and polishing floors; cleaning furniture, woodwork, fixtures, equipment, supplies, doors, windows, walls, walkways, driveways, and facility grounds; disposing of trash.

Set up all necessary equipment and furniture such as tables, chairs, podiums, and A/V equipment for indoor and/or outdoor events.

Inspects facilities and equipment, reports issues in a timely manner to appropriate higher-level staff; performs minor facility maintenance.

Explain and follow City and department policies and procedures.

Provide information and feedback to Facility and Parks Supervisor.

Opens, closes, secures and alarms facilities in compliance with standard procedures.

Supervise and interact with rental guests, responding by assisting with any facility needs.

Assists in monitoring and maintaining equipment and supplies.

May perform clean up duties as needed, including but not limited to:  move and arrange furniture and equipment, restroom cleaning, sweeping and mopping, and garbage pick-up and removal.

A Dispatcher I is a civilian employee of the Police Department who performs a variety of tasks in the Department’s Support Services Division. The Dispatcher I receives incoming calls for police assistance and response; acts as a primary Dispatcher when appropriate; performs a variety of general support duties related to police communications; completes a wide variety of general clerical duties.

The Dispatcher I duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Answer emergency and non-emergency police related phone calls, help prioritize requests for service based upon available resources, receive radio requests and handle accordingly, type, process and file a wide variety of reports and materials including memos, letters, complaints, declarations, warrants, citations, crime and traffic reports.  Assists Department personnel and the public in person and by phone performing record checks, collecting fees and mailing requested reports to outside agencies in accordance with established regulations.  A Dispatcher I may be assigned to work various hours, shifts, holidays, weekends and overtime.

QUALIFICATIONS

A combination of education and work experience including 2-3 years of general office work involving typing of varied materials, public contact, general filing and basic record keeping; type at least 40 wpm net.  Knowledge of business English, spelling; modern office practices and procedures; record keeping. Ability to learn assigned clerical tasks readily and to adhere to prescribed routine; write English legibly; establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the general public; type and learn the operation of other standard office equipment; a willingness to work varying shifts; and to learn radio dispatching skills. 

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The City of Pleasant Hill offers a competitive compensation and benefits program.

• Salary:  $6,455 to $8,321 per month. Effective 7/1/2025, 3.5% COLA ($6,681 to $8,612/month).

License: Possession of a valid Class C California Driver's license at time of appointment. Possession of a certificate of registration as a Civil Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or Traffic Engineer in the State of California.

The City of Dixon is preparing for the 2025 Aquatic season and is recruiting qualified Lifeguard/ Swim Instructor I/II applicants.

Under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor and Senior Lifeguard/Swim Instructor, Lifeguard/Swim Instructor performs a variety of duties to ensure the City of Dixon swimming pool is a safe and enjoyable aquatic facility. Supervises pool patrons, enforces pool rules, performs first aid and emergency rescues, instructs swim lessons, performs cashiering duties, leads recreational activities; performs related and other work as required.

Staff may be expected to work weekends and on fixed holidays.  Those who work on a City Holiday will earn 1 1/2 times their base hourly salary.

This position is subject to random controlled substance testing and/or breath alcohol testing.

The Department

The Community Services Department plays a key role in enhancing the community and ensuring the citizens of Fremont receive excellent customer service through the management of recreation facilities, quality recreation and environmental programs, and park planning.

The Position

The Park Ranger/Naturalist will provide information and assistance to the public, as well as enforce laws, rules, regulations, and the Fremont Municipal Code. The primary focus of the position will be to assist with implementing the initiatives of the Homeless Task Force. Additionally, the incumbent may conduct natural resource protection and environmental education programs.

Examples of Job Duties

• Work in prescribed uniform and is responsible for general patrol and supervision of City of Fremont’s parks, plazas and trails.
• Interact and engage with unhoused populations on a daily basis, providing guidance and encouragement, enforcing laws and regulations and connecting community members with service providers.
• Perform homeless response strategies and mitigation efforts, such as posting notice to abate nuisance tags, collection on unattended property and removal of debris.
• Provide assistance and act as a liaison to the public, responding to questions concerning park and recreation facilities, programs, policies, and rules and regulations.
• Demonstrate knowledge of and enforce the Fremont Municipal Code or other rules, regulations and ordinances pertaining to park operations within the City, including the issuance of citations.
