FOCC is a multi-service agency that offers a variety of programs and services provided by City staff and non-profit and public agency partners. The Bilingual Spanish Psychiatric Social Worker / Marriage and Family Therapists will provide specialized psychiatric assessment, brief treatment, and clinical case management services for adult clients with Severe Mental Illness. Principal duties will include mental health and substance use assessment and treatment; engaging clients to services; consultation with providers; and linkage/referrals to other community providers. The main role of this position will be working within a dynamic multi-disciplinary team to provide specialized psychiatric casework and care coordination, provide individual and group psychotherapy, case management, and refer clients to Private Provider Network and/or community agencies for additional services.

The primary duties will include care coordination for a clinical case load, mental health assessments; treatment planning, case management; crisis management; individual psychotherapy; and collaborating with multidisciplinary team which includes psychiatrist, registered nurses, PSW SW and LMFT, and Case managers. Clinician will also perform “Officer of the Day” duties.

Collaboration and coordination of services with other providers is an essential piece of the services to be provided, therefore candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills. The clinician may consult and collaborate with other teams in BHRS and community agencies and contract providers.

Minimum qualifications include:

Licensure/Certification

Psychiatric Social Worker I: Registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences as an Associate Clinical Social Worker. An individual hired in this classification must become licensed within six years from the original date of registration as an Associate Social Worked issued by the State of California.

Psychiatric Social Worker II: Current California license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

Marriage & Family Therapist I: Registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. An individual hired in this classification must become licensed within six years from the original date of registration as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist issued by the State of California.

Marriage & Family Therapist II: Current California license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.

Education and Experience 

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to qualify is a Master's degree in Social Work, Social Welfare or a closely related field.

$43.56 - $54.46 Hourly

$90,604.80 - $113,276.80 Annually

Psychiatric Social Worker II/Marriage & Family Therapist II:

$48.98 - $61.26 Hourly

The City of Berkeley invites you to apply for the position of Assistant Civil Engineer! In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on capital improvement projects in the Parks, Recreation & Waterfront Department or the Public Works Department. You will perform professional office and field civil engineering work related to the planning, design, construction and maintenance of these projects. This position requires a California PE license.

The Parks, Recreation & Waterfront Department maintains more than 50 parks and operates the largest public marina on the Bay. Engineers in this department work on projects at parks, community centers, recreation centers, the waterfront, pools, camps, and related facilities and infrastructure.

Program areas within Public Works include Facilities, Sanitary Sewers, Sidewalks, Streets, and Storm Drains.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A typical way of gaining the knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position is:
Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university with major coursework in civil engineering and two (2) years of professional civil engineering experience in design and construction work at a level equivalent to the City of Berkeley Junior Public Works Engineer classification.

Other requirements include:

• Possession of a California State Certification of Registration as a Professional Engineer
• Possession of a valid California driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
