THE POSITION

Tri-City is looking for an individual to serve as a Clinical Therapist I/II for the Adult Outpatient Program (AOP). The Clinical Therapist I/II will appeal to individuals who are inspired by challenges and opportunities presented in working with an engaged and active community with moderate to severe behavioral health clients. 

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Provides individual, group, and family interventions, rehabilitation, and treatment services including counseling, therapy, case management, and referral and linkage to community services to a variety of clients including high acuity clients.

• Within scope of authority, assesses, diagnoses, and treats a variety of clients with mental health disorders; collaborates with clients and creates individualized treatments plans according to client’s needs and circumstances.

• Initiates and conducts individual, group, and family counseling and biopsychosocial therapy sessions utilizing a variety of techniques and modalities; provides case management services in the office and in the field.

• Performs routine and emergency intake evaluations according to Authority procedure; completes appropriate forms and documents relating to the intake process; and prepares medical and demographic case history for use in diagnosis.

• Assists clients and family members in understanding behavioral health diagnosis, contributing factors/causes, effects, prognosis, rehabilitation, and treatment.

• Works with clients to address stressors and barriers to treatment and/or social functioning; identifies and focuses on client strengths and personal resources to effectively engage and treat client.

THE POSITION

Tri-City Mental Health Authority is currently hiring to fill three (3) full-time vacancies for the position of Psychiatric Technician I/II within the Mobile Crisis Care Program (MCCP). Tri-City’s MCCP is a 24/7 mobile crisis response team with shifts that may include evenings, weekends, daytime hours, and holidays. Weekend and night shifts will be entitled to Shift Differential Pay of $2.50 per hour on weekdays (Monday through Friday) and $3.50 per hour on weekends (Saturday and Sunday). Holiday shifts will be entitled to Holiday Pay.

Tri-City is looking for individuals to serve as a Psychiatric Technician I/II on a full-time basis for the MCCP. The MCCP Psychiatric Technician will be part of a team that provides crisis intervention and stabilization, linkage and referral, consultation, and education within the scope of practice. The MCCP Psychiatric Technician will report to the Mobile Crisis Care Clinical Supervisor and Clinical Program Manager.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Respond to client’s (Full-Service Partnership and Adult and Children’s Outpatient Programs and other specialty mental health services) crisis calls with or without law enforcement;

• Perform field-based and telephone emergency mental health evaluations and crisis stabilization in accordance with agency procedures;

• Provide crisis intervention and stabilization services to individuals, groups, and families;

• Identify treatment needs and make appropriate referrals for necessary services;

• Assist clients and relatives with understanding behavioral health problems and their reaction to them;

• Work on a multidisciplinary team for crisis response.

• Perform triage and linkages to non-client community members in the Tri-City catchment areas.

• Perform critical incident debriefs at the request of a community partner.

• Ability to respond to a mobile crisis in the community catchment area (Pomona, Claremont, and La Verne) within 60 minutes of disposition.

• Follow up with clients who receive mobile crisis services and collaborate with the client's treatment team for warm hand-off.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to calls during assigned shifts including: after regular business hours, late evenings, overnight hours, and on weekends; field work may be required.

There is a 4% COLA that will be effective the first full pay period of July 2023, 2024, and 2025.  Sworn staff have the option of contributing the unused health insurance balance to a 457 or taxable cash of unused balance (up to $670/month).

Police Officer

Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience
Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be graduation from high school or equivalent and successful completion of a Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) certified Police Academy. College-level coursework and specialized training in law enforcement, criminal justice, or a related field are highly desirable.

Additional Requirements:
Must be at least 21 years of age; must successfully complete a comprehensive P.O.S.T. background investigation, physical examination, drug testing, and psychological evaluation; must be legally authorized to work in the United States by federal law at the time of appointment and meet all California State Minimum Selection Standards set forth by P.O.S.T. and California law.

License/Certificate:

• Possession of a valid California P.O.S.T. Basic Certificate or valid California P.O.S.T Basic Course Waiver at the time of application.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid CPR certification.

City of Lathrop Police Officer

THE POSITION

Tri-City is looking for one (1) individual to serve as a Psychiatrist I/II for the Adult Outpatient Clinic. The Psychiatrist I/II will provide medical and psychiatric treatment and diagnostic services to clients in the caseload of Tri-City and provide collaborative work with a multidisciplinary team in a public mental health agency. Provide integrated, effective, and high quality behavioral health care to the residents of Pomona, Claremont and La Verne with moderate to severe functional impairment due to mental illness.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Perform intake and diagnostic interviews on a scheduled and emergent basis.
• Participate in diagnostic staff evaluation of clients.
• Provide medical psychiatric treatment of clients.
• Maintain and disseminate medical records and reports in compliance with Federal, State and Agency regulations, including Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and The Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act, Public Law 111-005 (“HITECH Act”).
• Submit required statistical and other requested information on a timely basis.
• Consult and provide information to other agencies that are coordinating their work with that of the behavioral health service agency.
• May serve on Utilization Review Committee, Medication Review Committee, and chair Peer Review Committee as assigned.
• May conduct specialized research, special studies, and services.
• Provide medical consultative services to the behavioral health services staff; lead team conferences and provide clinical direction in unit(s) to which assigned.
