THE POSITION

Tri-City Mental Health Authority is currently hiring to fill two (2) full-time vacancies for the position of Clinical Therapist II within the Mobile Crisis Care Program (MCCP). 

Tri-City’s MCCP operates 24/7 to provide crucial support in mobile crises. As such, the schedule will involve a 3/12 shift pattern, consisting of three twelve-hour days per workweek and one alternating eight-hour day every other week. Shifts may include evenings, weekends, daytime hours, and holidays.

The specific shift and schedule will be determined by the supervisor; however, the first one to two months of training will follow a 5-day-per-week, 40-hour-per-week schedule

Examples of shifts are included below:

• Day Shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM, or 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• Night Shifts: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 7:00 PM - 3:00 AM, 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM, or 8:00 PM - 4:00 AM

Weekend and night shifts will be entitled to Shift Differential Pay of $2.50 per hour on weekdays (Monday through Friday) and $3.50 per hour on weekends (Saturday and Sunday). Holiday shifts will be entitled to Holiday Pay.

Tri-City is looking for individuals to serve as Clinical Therapist II on a full-time basis for the MCCP. The MCCP Clinical Therapist II will be part of a team that provides crisis intervention and stabilization, linkage and referral, consultation, and education within the scope of practice. The MCCP Clinical Therapist II will report to the Mobile Crisis Care Clinical Supervisor and Clinical Program Manager.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Respond to client’s (Full-Service Partnership and Adult and Children’s Outpatient Programs and other specialty mental health services) crisis calls with or without law enforcement;
   

• Perform field-based and telephone emergency mental health evaluations and crisis stabilization in accordance with agency procedure;
   

• Provide crisis intervention and stabilization services to individuals, groups, and families;
   

• Identify treatment needs and make appropriate referrals for necessary services;
   

• Assist clients and relatives with understanding behavioral health problems and their reaction to them;
   

• Work on a multidisciplinary team for crisis response.

Salary steps—Steps F, G, and H, within the range listed above—are available after 5, 10, and 15 years of service, with one year at the prior step and a satisfactory performance evaluation. ABOUT THE POSITION

The City of Gilroy is recruiting for a full-time Accounting Assistant I in the Finance Department. This position will primarily be assigned to the Utility Billing/Information Desk area, providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers, and performing cashiering and accounting-related work. The Finance Department’s goal is to provide timely and accurate financial information to City Management, City Council, and the public, while responsibly managing the City’s assets, including cash and investments.

Under the direct supervision of the Finance Manager or Supervising Accounting Technician, the Accounting Assistant will perform a wide variety of accounting and statistical record-keeping assignments related to maintaining financial and statistical records. This position may provide support in one or more of the following areas: accounts receivable, accounts payable, utility billing, and/or the front information desk.

This role offers opportunities to build foundational experience in municipal finance and may serve as a steppingstone to the Accounting Assistant II classification, depending on performance and experience gained.

ABOUT THE POSITION

The Gilroy Police Department is seeking a motivated and community-minded undergraduate Police Administration Intern interested in gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic law enforcement environment. ABOUT THE POSITION

The City of Gilroy is seeking a college level Youth Task Force (YTF) Summer College Intern to work in the Gilroy Police Department Violence Prevention Unit. The Intern will participate and work with an experienced team and gain skills and knowledge in planning, organizing, and coordinating various youth and community projects, programs, events and tasks related to violence and gang prevention efforts. 

In this exciting opportunity, the YTF Intern will work under the direction of the Youth Task Force Coordinator, and will help carry out community events, participate in community organizing, community forums, community surveying, support engagement projects, and will help lead recreational and outreach programs at San Ysidro Park. The internship is a balance of office/administrative work and hands-on work in the field.

This internship has potential to be extended to the Fall semester.

ABOUT THE POSITION
The City of Gilroy is currently recruiting a full-time Senior Civil Engineer for the Utilities Department. In this exciting opportunity the Senior Civil Engineer is poised to play a significant role in designing, implementing, and optimizing utility systems to ensure reliability, efficiency, and sustainability. The Senior Civil Engineer will help establish utility engineering standards, protocols, and infrastructure as it relates to water and wastewater for the City of Gilroy.

The Senior Civil Engineer will work under the direction of the Utilities Director and will manage, review, and perform duties relative to Utility Engineering and construction activities, supervise assigned employees, will direct and perform complex professional-level field and office engineering assignments, and play an important part in making a real-world difference in the community. About the Position: The Planning Department is seeking TWO interns who are interested in learning about open space and planning for ecologically sensitive public recreation. Their responsibilities may include researching and compiling project information, supporting community and stakeholder engagement, assisting with environmental review and documentation, researching new programs and initiatives, conducting field surveys and data collection, and using computer-based systems such as GIS, Microsoft Excel and Adobe Illustrator for analysis of data and preparation of documents related to Midpen programs, lands and facilities. The interns will work as a team and individually on assignments, including opportunities for field work to gain experience in data collection techniques and tools and on-the-job training in project management, planning research, analysis, and written communication.  For additional information about the position, see the Job Description on our website. Basic Requirements: Current enrollment in an associate’s, bachelor’s, or master’s degree program, or trade school in a relevant field or a recent graduate (within the last 12 months). Successful candidates will have a background in park/open space management, regional/land use/environmental planning, environmental studies, GIS/geography, or another related field and experience with field data collection techniques. This internship requires strong organizational and analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and with a team. Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, ArcGIS software, GPS equipment, Microsoft Excel, and Apple iPads is desired, and familiarity with Midpen preserves/trails as well as local flora, fauna, and natural history are a plus. Possession of a valid California driver’s license is required before time of appointment. Must possess the ability to lift, carry, push and pull materials and objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

Working Conditions:  This position will report to the Planning Department at the Administrative Office in Los Altos, California.  Midpen offers a hybrid office/telecommute work environment for this position, which will be divided between onsite work, field visits, and limited home office work.  The selected individuals will be required to work a minimum of three days on-site per week, and assignments may vary between field and office work. Field work is conducted in rural or mountainous Midpen open space areas, which may involve working alone or with another intern in wildland areas, traversing rough difficult terrain sometimes with poison oak and dense vegetation, and carrying equipment weighing up to 25 pounds. This is a temporary position working 20 – 40 hours per week (within regular business days/hours). Regular business is conducted Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00am to 5:00pm. Interns may work up to a total of 950 hours over a 6-to-9-month period. This is a non-benefited position.
