The Vocational Rehabilitation Services (VRS) team of the Human Services Agency (HSA) of San Mateo County is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Rehabilitation Production Supervisor I/II. This current vacancy is a permanent position assigned in Catering Connection and/or the WorkCenter program. The position is a shared assignment and will be scheduled weekly to work in Catering Connection and/or the WorkCenter. The schedule of this position will vary and include weekends depending on the needs of the departments.
 
Under supervision, Rehabilitation Production Supervisor I/II will perform a variety of support activities and supervise the operation of Vocational Rehabilitation Services’ Catering Connection, and WorkCenter. What You’ll Do

• Install, maintain, repair and research a variety of supervisory controls and replacement electrical components that are part of advanced wastewater treatment processes such as aeration, filtration, disinfection and dichlorination, sludge dewatering, odor control, and an environmental laboratory.
• Perform wiring required for the installation of electronic equipment; electrical conductors in conduits; splice high and low voltage cables utilizing hand taping and pre- molded splice kits.
• Design, install, maintain, repair, test and construct electrical assemblies.
• Troubleshoot plant electrical systems, controls and related process equipment. Provide technical support for other work groups within Public Works.

San Mateo County Health- San Mateo Medical Center seeks well-qualified candidates for the position of Program Coordinator I in the Patient Access Division. The current vacancy is a full-time, limited term vacancy. The duration of the assignment will last about 6 months.

 

Under the direction of the Patient Access Manager, the Program Coordinator will provide support to over 150 Patient Services Assistants across various departments, including Emergency, Admitting, Long-Term Care, Same-Day Surgery, and will average 27 Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) sites with 8-16 hours of weekly program refresher training on several publicly sponsored coverage options.

The Role:

The City of Redwood City is seeking Firefighters or Firefighter/Paramedics who, under direction of the Fire Captain, will perform firefighting and fire prevention duties aimed at protecting life and property, operate and maintain firefighting equipment, and provide basic medical assistance.  Firefighters also provide Basic Life Support first responder pre-hospital emergency medical care and emergency medical assistance, perform minor station maintenance, and participate in training to maintain skills.  Please see the Firefighter/Engineer job description for more details.

Required Qualifications:

POSITION

The City of Daly City is looking for people interested in working 10-20 hours per week in a variety of settings selected by the Department of Library and Recreation Services. Our current openings are in the Recreation Division and may be in the areas of the Afterschool Youth Recreation Program, Aquatics Program or Facility Attendant. This position will report directly to the Recreation Program Coordinator or Recreation Program Supervisor and will work various hours throughout the week, including evenings and weekends

DEFINITION

Under general supervision, a Recreator III independently performs assigned tasks which serve the public use of municipal recreation facilities and other duties as required.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES

Open and close facilities following established guidelines, set up equipment needed for facility programs, perform routine maintenance and cleanup for assigned facilities, collect fees for facility use, maintain order and discipline in assigned facilities and programs by enforcing City and Departmental policies, may facilitate in assigned program areas, may supervise other part-time staff, volunteers, or court workers as assigned, and maintain accurate records and reports. POSITION

The City of Daly City is looking for people interested in working 10-20 hours per week in a variety of settings selected by the Department of Library and Recreation Services. Our current openings are in the Recreation Division and may be in the areas of the Afterschool Youth Recreation Program, Aquatics Program or Facility Attendant. This position will report directly to the Recreation Program Coordinator or Recreation Program Supervisor and will work various hours throughout the week, including evenings and weekends

DEFINITION

Under direct supervision, a Recreator I performs assigned tasks which serve the public use of municipal recreation facilities and performs other related duties as required.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES

Open and close facilities following established guidelines, set up equipment needed for facility programs, perform routine maintenance and clean up for assigned facilities, collect fees for facility use, maintain order and discipline in assigned facilities and programs by enforcing City and Departmental policies, may assist in assigned program areas, may supervise volunteers or court workers as assigned, and maintain accurate records and reports.  May include specific assignments such as cashiering, attending to locker rooms, aiding with swim instruction, staffing facilities used by the public, and assisting with recreational programming.  Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of: General facility operations, basic lesson instruction techniques for an assigned area, and safety practices for assigned programs.

The Office of the Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder and Chief Elections Officer is seeking well-qualified candidates for the position of Principal Appraiser.  Principal Appraisers must have thorough knowledge of Property Tax and the Revenue and Taxation Code as it relates to Real Property Valuation, Change in Ownership reassessment or exclusion requirements, New Construction valuation, Decline in Value valuation, Property Classification, etc.
 
The department currently has two vacancies in the areas of Residential and Commercial real property appraisal and assessment.
 
The Principal Appraisers share a critical role in assisting the Chief Appraiser and Deputy Assessor in the completion of the Office's mission to determine the assessed value of all taxable property located in San Mateo County, the creation of the official record of taxable property (approximately 240,000 assessments each year in the local assessment roll), and the sharing of this information with the County Controller and Tax Collector and making it publicly available.
 
This is an exciting time for seasoned Principal Appraisers to join our dynamic team of Appraisal professionals. The Assessor's Office is currently involved in several major projects, including the development of a new Assessor's Property Assessment System (APAS), and the appraisal and assessment of several large-scale new generation commercial, manufacturing, research and development, and mixed-use developments being built throughout San Mateo County.  Principal Appraisers may be called upon to provide subject matter expertise in the development of the Assessor's Property Assessment System.

THE DEPARTMENT AND DIVISION
The mission of the Office of the Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder and Chief Elections Officer is to ensure equitable treatment of County property owners by accurate and fair valuation of land, improvements, and businesses; to create an accurate public record of recorded transactions relating to people and property within San Mateo County; and to register County citizens to vote and efficiently conduct honest elections.
 
The Department is responsible for:

• The maintenance of 240,000 assessments and a local property tax roll of over $238 billion.
• The maintenance of County birth, death, and marriage records.
• The maintenance of over 3,000,000 recorded land records.
• The facilitation of local elections.
• The maintenance of the voter registration rolls representing over 330,000 County voters.

 
The Department is also responsible for a budget of $20 million, election billing to all jurisdictions, and 15 governmental trust funds.
 
 

Qualifications

Licensure/Certification: Acquisition within one year of appointment of a permanent Property Tax Appraiser Certificate issued by the California State Board of Equalization.  
 
Education and Experience: Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying.
 
The preferred qualifications include:

• A Bachelor's degree, and
• Six years of experience performing a full range of appraisals of tangible and taxable property, of which three years are for tax assessment purposes preferably with an Assessor's Office in California, and
• Experience appraising and assessing at least 3,000 or more residential properties, and
• Three years of experience with Assessment Appeals

Additional preferred qualifications include:
 

• Previous completion of advanced level courses offered by the California Board of Equalization and/or the Appraisal Institute
• Advanced Appraiser Certification issued by the State Board of Equalization.

Three years of experience as a Sr. Appraiser with San Mateo County Assessor's Office is considered qualifying experience.
