SALARY
The anticipated hiring range for the Cultural and Community Services position is $80,594 - $100,743 annually, with a full salary range up to $120,892. The City typically makes offers within the hiring range based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
DESCRIPTION
The City of Thousand Oaks is excited to announce the creation of a new Cultural and Community Services Analyst position within the Cultural and Community Services Department! This newly established role has been created to track and analyze department metrics in libraries, theatres, and community services. Additionally, this role will provide service to the community through key support for grants, film and special event permits, youth services, senior services, and more.
The Cultural and Community Services Department is seeking a proactive and adaptable Cultural and Community Services Analyst who will work across and support three divisions: libraries, community services, and theatres. This position will be responsible for innovating the department’s use of data by tracking metrics and finding ways to present the integrated data. The selected candidate will be assigned duties related to grants, youth and senior services, and/or film and special event permits. They will learn the role of the current Community Services Analyst and serve as a backup, when necessary.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide staff assistance to leadership
Participate in planning, coordinating, implementing, and overseeing projects related to data management. Develop and prepare proposals, plans, reports, and recommendations for libraries, community services, and theatres.
Serve as a liaison to community organizations, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
Assist with complex tasks related to the City’s Community Grants programs.
Assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of Special Event and Film permitting regulations and process.
Learn basic functions of libraries, theatres, and community services divisions to help identify opportunities for collaboration or cross-over of duties.
Analyze problems, identify alternative solutions and process improvements, implement recommendations in support of goals
Analyze data trends to identify opportunities for process improvement and enhanced operational efficiency.
Evaluate and consolidate departmental tasks to eliminate redundancies and improve operational efficiency through lean principles.
Provide high-quality customer service to residents and patrons by responding to inquiries and assisting with passport, special event, film permit processes, and more.
Collaboration with other departments
Adapt to evolving departmental needs by leading and supporting diverse projects that enhance cultural and community programming.
Establish and maintain effective working relationship with those contacted in the course of work.
