The Santa Clara County Housing Authority (SCCHA) is seeking an Asset Management Coordinator to support the agency's affordable housing initiatives and asset management goals. The Coordinator handles a mix of technical and administrative tasks, including responding to inquiries, researching and compiling information, and managing specialized reporting projects. Additionally, the role involves tracking and reconciling financial, operational, and statistical records. The Coordinator also provides confidential support to management, staff, and various boards. This position assists with onboarding new hires and manages office arrangements for team members. It's a dynamic position requiring a mix of organizational skills and attention to detail.

 

This position requires knowledge of asset management, property maintenance, construction project management, capital planning and systems management, budget preparation, and financial modeling to analyze portfolio performance.

Certification as a California Notary public is desirable.

Typical Tasks
 

• Leads and participates in the work of staff in managing projects, developing and enhancing system applications for an assigned division;

Minimum Qualifications

 

Employment Standards

Sufficient training, education and experience to demonstrate possession of the required technical and project management knowledge, skills and abilities.

Development of the required knowledge, skills and abilities is typically obtained through a combination of training and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with a four-year degree in information systems, computer science or related field and four (4) years of responsible experience developing, designing, and/or maintaining major components of a comprehensive information system including evaluation, analysis and input to the software modules of an Enterprise Resource Planning System or other application system. (Additional applicable experience with applications and systems support, design, and maintenance substitutes for college on a year for year basis.) Incumbents must demonstrate substantial experience in an SAP environment, and/or Electronic Documents Management System, and/or Operations system (such as Trapeze, BDT, ACS) or Construction and CMP solutions.

A VTA employee designated as a "Business Process Owner" and/or "Super User" with four (4) years of experience in that capacity, in addition to performing and leading others in system upgrades and demonstrated technical coursework in SAP or systems used at VTA, meets the minimum qualifications for this classification. Role Overview: Chief of Staff

Salary and Benefits

• 26 City-owned buildings/facilities and their grounds
• A fleet of over 250 vehicles and pieces of equipment
• 97 miles of streets
• Drinking water delivery for 16,000 customers

Building Inspector Combination: $110,881.68 - $134,862.00 

Building Inspector Combination Certified I: $114,157.68 - $138,705.84 

Building Inspector Combination Certified II: $117,215.28 - $142,877.28 

Building Inspector Combination Certified III: $121,910.88 - $148,512.00 

Building Inspector Combination Certified Senior: $138,225.36 - $168,473.76 

 

This salary range(s) includes an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable compensation. Actual salary shall be determined by the final candidates’ qualifications and experience.   

The Building Inspector Combination/Certified I/II/III/Senior position will be located subject to business need. This position will provide inspection support at a variety of City of San José facilities, including the Airport, Regional Wastewater Facility and Central Service Yard.  

Key responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to the following:  

• Conduct inspections of industrial, commercial, manufacturing, and facilities to ensure compliance with codes, regulations, ordinances, standards, and contract agreements which includes: setting up inspection schedules; gathering information and evidence; and, ensuring conformance to plans, specifications, and safety regulations.   

• Investigate building, construction, and land use changes in the field by: gathering factual data to ascertain present use of land and location of structures; conducting background investigations and research; and, preparing reports to use as evidence.   

• Provide technical assistance for development of codes and policies.   

• Generate written reports and enforcement orders which includes noting deficiencies in standards and submitting final documentation.   

• Review plans and specifications for compliance with codes which includes assisting in projects in complying with regulations, prioritizing deficiencies, and preparing timetables.   

• Provide technical support for agencies and the public which includes inputting data into system for general public access.   

• Meet with architects, engineers, City officials, and building contractors to discuss construction projects.

Valley Water Telework Program: Eligibility for telework will depend on the type of work performed, operational needs, and the ability for the employee to perform the essential functions of their job duties while teleworking. Employment with Valley Water requires employees to live within 150 miles of their primary physical work location located in San Jose, California by their start date.

The City of San José Information Technology Department seeks an experienced City Information Security Officer (CISO) to lead cybersecurity Citywide initiatives.
 
The CISO will direct the Cybersecurity Office as the City’s principal executive leader for information and systems security. In partnership with the Chief Information Officer (CIO), they will manage risk identification, protection and compliance, threat detection, incident response (IR), and recovery services for all City departments to ensure business resilience.
 
The City’s CISO must be able to apply expertise in security strategy, cybersecurity frameworks, managing staff and vendor services, leading incident management, and optimizing resources to achieve desired security outcomes.
 
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Lead and mentor the Cybersecurity team, offering expertise and support to foster growth and a collaborative environment. 
• Collaborate with business units and solution providers to provide optimal security measures and achieve a balance between sustaining business operations and achieving security compliance.

• Lead the annual Cybersecurity Assessment of the City’s technology infrastructure.
