Wastewater System Supervisor

THE POSITION

The City of Chowchilla is seeking a full-time Wastewater System Supervisor who, under general direction, supervises, develops, and directs the work of staff performing difficult and complex technical and administrative support related to all programs and activities of the City’s Treatment Operations and Collection System Maintenance Operations; assists with long- and short-term project planning and overseeing the design, construction, maintenance, and operations of the wastewater collection system and wastewater treatment plant, facilities, and related appurtenances and other programs; works with technical and engineering staff to monitor and maintain water quality in accordance with State requirements; coordinates assigned activities with other City departments and outside agencies for services such as meter reading and repair; provides complex and responsible support to the Public Works Director and others in areas of expertise; and performs other duties as assigned.

Incumbent serves as the Division Manager of the City’s Treatment Operations and Collection System Maintenance Operations system. REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES

• Operates a smart device and two-radio to respond to transit dispatch and on-demand rideshare requests requiring adjustments to existing schedules and routes.

The City of Lincoln is hiring for a seasonal Maintenance Worker II within the Parks and Facilities Division of the Public Works Department.

The Department is looking for an individual with at least three years of responsible experience performing municipal parks maintenance. The process may include an in-basket exercise, individual interviews, panel interviews and/or other related components.  Only those candidates who have the best combination of qualifications in relation to the requirements and duties of the position will continue in the selection process. The candidate selected for the position will be required to complete a background check including reference checks, fingerprint check, medical exam, drug-screening and/or other related components.

The Position 

Under general supervision, protects life and property; performs law enforcement and crime prevention duties; controls traffic flow and regulations; enforces State, Federal and Local laws and performs related duties as required.  An incumbent in the position is a role model of impeccable character, trustworthy, and the will to help serve the community.   Looking for Police Officer I and Police Officer II to join our team.   

Prerequisites

Police Office I:  

Education and Experience:   Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school and completion of P.O.S.T. Basic Academy or Module D Training for Police Officers. 

Licenses, Registrations, Accreditations, etc:   Possession of a valid Class C California Motor Vehicle Operator License; certificate of completion of the P.O.S.T. Basic Academy; standard CPR and First Aid Certificates issued by the American Red Cross.

Police Officer II:

Education and Experience:  Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school and completion of P.O.S.T. Basic Academy or Module D Training for police officers.   At least 2-years' experience as a sworn public safety officer.  

License, Registration, Accreditations, etc: Possession of a valid Class C California Motor Vehicle Operator License; certificate of completion of the P.O.S.T. Basic Academy Certificate; standard CPR and First Aid Certificates issued by the American Red Cross.
