Hiring Bonus

Up to 10 Lateral Police Officers hired into the classification of Police Officer for the City of Fremont will qualify for a new hire bonus of up to $100,000. 

• $10,000: Paid on the first paycheck following the Police Officer’s hire with the City of Fremont.
• $10,000: Paid upon completion of the Field Training Officer (FTO) Program.
• $15,000: Paid upon successful completion of probation.
• $15,000: Paid upon one (1) full year following completion of probation.
• $15,000: Paid upon two (2) years following completion of probation.
• $15,000: Paid upon three (3) years following completion of probation.
• $20,000: Paid for completing the final six (6) months2 (months 55-60) for a total of five (5) years of service.

Minimum Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the United States under federal law.

• Be at least 20.5 years of age at time of filing and 21 years of age at time of appointment.
• Possession of a Class C California driver’s license at the time of appointment with a satisfactory driving record.
• Currently employed as a police officer or deputy sheriff by a California law enforcement agency.
• Successful completion of a POST-approved field training or jail training program.

OASIS is community field-based mental health services provided to older adults at their place of residence. This home visit services include medication evaluation and monitoring, individual counseling/therapy, and case management. This multiple discipline team with language capacity in English, Spanish, and Chinese, consists of Psychiatrists, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapists, a Community Mental Health Nurse, and a Peer Support Worker. Services are available to San Mateo County residents age 60 and over with issues of mobility and mental health conditions that impact their day-to-day functioning.  

Clinicians will use evidence-based approach to perform assessment, diagnosis, make medical necessity treatment plans, case management, individual therapy, and work with family members of clients' and other community providers for clients' mental health follow-up care needs. These interventions are provided in field setting or in clients' place of residence, and/or as needed to clients who are living in the community.

Clinicians are committed to providing medical necessity treatment that supports the clients' goals of independence and self-sufficiency with other service providers' support to continually live in the community with better quality of life. These positions embrace the challenge of providing simultaneous cooccurring treatment for both mental illness and substance use disorders in some cases; to work in an older adult outpatient setting as a member of a multidisciplinary team in collaboration and within the system of care.  

The ideal candidates will possess:  

• A current license as either a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Marriage and Family  
• Therapist, or are collecting hours to take the licensing exam;  
• Solid clinical treatment, assessment, diagnostic and evaluation skills;  
• Knowledge of principles, techniques and trends in counseling, psychotherapy, clinical case management, crisis management and various treatment modalities;
• Experience delivering services to adult and/or older adult consumers who have cooccurring behavioral health and substance use disorders;

THE POSITION:

Under direct supervision, the Police Officer Trainee attends a Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T) approved Police Basic Recruit Academy and successfully completes the academic and physical training required for appointment to the classification of Police Officer Recruit II. Role Description

As a Clinical Psychologist for the County Adult Assistance Program(CAAP), you will conduct professional-level work in screening and assessing CalWORKS and CAAP clients to identify and document disabling mental health conditions and associated functional limitations that enable them to qualify for Social Security Benefits.

Essential Duties Include:

• Conducts screening and assessment of clients with mental health related complaints, collateral interviews with primary care and behavioral health staff, and medical records review to support clients’ application for Social Security Benefits.
• Selects, administers, scores, and interprets appropriate psychological tests of intelligence, personality, aptitude, achievement, interest and other specialized areas and conducts diagnostic clinical interviews with emotionally disturbed, mentally ill, chemically dependent, and intellectually disabled adults to assess their impairments to provide medical evidence in support of clients’ application for Social Security Benefits as needed.
• Prepares psychological reports presenting diagnostic findings, interview findings, functional assessments, clinical evaluations, and recommendations for the Clients’ SSI eligibility.
• Reviews and evaluates psychological, psychiatric and/or neuropsychological data and case material.
• Provides education, consultation, and information to community providers, and CAAP’s multi-disciplinary team on adult adjustment problems, mental illness, chemical dependence, culturally relevant services, and other topics related to SSI eligibility.

THE POSITION:

Under immediate, then as proficiency increases, general supervision of a Field Training Officer, Police Sergeant or higher ranking official, incumbents in this classification perform and document varied law enforcement assignments through working assigned shifts in patrol or on specialty assignments and participating in training; perform related work as required.

Senior Civil & Environmental Engineer
Salary Range: $95,900/yr. - $189,900/yr. (Budgeted salary range $95,900/yr. - $142,900/yr.)

Use advanced engineering concepts and organizational objectives to provide leadership and support focused on engineering, project management, and compliance for the Facilities Management: Utilities department. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Over ten years of experience in engineering design, master planning, plan review, project administration and facility operation in storm, water, water reuse, sanitary sewer and solid waste systems.
• Extensive experience with interpreting regulations, permitting, and regulatory compliance for water, wastewater, and solid waste operations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Education/Experience:  

• Experience with Capital Improvement Project (CIP) budgeting and with developing sewer, water and treatment plant master plan documents and condition assessments.
• Experience with water and wastewater system maintenance; understanding of Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS) principles.

THE POSITION

The City of Chowchilla is seeking a full-time Wastewater System Supervisor who, under general direction, supervises, develops, and directs the work of staff performing difficult and complex technical and administrative support related to all programs and activities of the City’s Treatment Operations and Collection System Maintenance Operations; assists with long- and short-term project planning and overseeing the design, construction, maintenance, and operations of the wastewater collection system and wastewater treatment plant, facilities, and related appurtenances and other programs; works with technical and engineering staff to monitor and maintain water quality in accordance with State requirements; coordinates assigned activities with other City departments and outside agencies for services such as meter reading and repair; provides complex and responsible support to the Public Works Director and others in areas of expertise; and performs other duties as assigned.

Incumbent serves as the Division Manager of the City’s Treatment Operations and Collection System Maintenance Operations system. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, supervising, reviewing, and evaluating the work of wastewater operations, maintenance, and operations staff either directly or through lead workers. Role description

Under general supervision, assists in analyzing, planning, implementing, maintaining, troubleshooting and enhancing large complex systems or networks consisting of a combination that may include mainframes, mini-computers, personal computers, mobile devices, LANS, WANs, servers, data storage and the physical and logical components that integrate these systems together as an enterprise networking backbone. 

The 1042 Security Engineer is the journey level position in the Engineer series. The class is distinguished from the Senior level by the complexity of the tasks, projects or duties assigned, and is more independent than the Assistant level. This classification performs a wide range of complex analytical, design, planning, implementation, enhancement and problem resolution tasks on large complex systems and networks. Works within a framework of established procedures and interprets policies, procedures and guidelines. This level may formulate recommendations consistent with directives, policies, standards and regulations. Incumbents require only occasional instruction or assistance. Work is reviewed upon completion and for overall results. Serves as a technical architect and systems integrator for large complex systems or networks, with a focus on securing vulnerabilities and reducing risk of system and/or asset compromises.

Essential Duties:
 

1. Determine requirements for the development environment and / or enhancement for large complex systems that serve HSA’s programs. May research and conduct feasibility studies on new technologies.
2. Design, plan, integrate, test, implement, document and enhance large complex systems. This may involve the analysis, coding (.NET C#, Cold Fusion), web application design, database design, and evaluation of systems software, hardware and communications strategies.
3. Perform systems integration for interoperability over dissimilar platforms and technologies. This may involve the integration of various protocols and systems software.
4. Determine the proper installation parameters for software for smooth integration and efficiency in relation to the enterprise system and network.
5. Write code to customize large systems software which may involve specialized programming languages.
6. Read and understand requirements documentation and other documentation in order to write code to implement the required features for application systems.
7. Analyze, detect, identify and correct complex systems software or hardware deficiencies. Analyze, research and debug program logic and systems; modify program logic; analyze service requests for system changes or new requirements to determine the most effective approach and the appropriate staff time required to achieve the needed modification.
8. Provide emergency technical support for application issues to ensure system availability and data integrity. May provide on-call support to ensure rapid recovery from software or hardware problems for mission-critical systems and networks.
9. Act as the liaison between vendors, technical support hot-lines and departments to resolve complex systems. Coordinate and implement corrective measures; this may involve site visits, telephone assistance, remote systems and participation in technical committees.
10. Facilitate the demonstration and training of staff in the use of new hardware or software products.
11. Document procedures and troubleshooting techniques related to systems software and hardware; develop technical documentation and review documentation prior to general distribution.
12. Plan, develop and implement backup and recovery procedures for large systems.
13. Communicate with managers regarding system performance and operational issues. Suggest improvements to management.
