Tri-City Mental Health Authority is looking for to fill one (1) vacancy for the Behavioral Health Specialist (BHS) for the Adult Full Service Partnership (FSP) Department. The BHS will provide a variety of rehabilitative support services to clients to facilitate behavior modification, skill building, and self-care and safety in individual and/or group settings.

• Develops, monitors, and evaluates client rehabilitative and case management goals and increases/decreases in targeted behavior according to client needs; monitors goal progress/regression.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

The Community & Economic Development department (C&ED) has one (1) vacancy to be filled at either the Assistant Director of Community and Economic Development, Chief Building Official, or Deputy Building Official classification.

The ideal candidate for the Assistant Director of Community and Economic Development is a collaborative and strategic municipal leader with core competencies in Building and Code Enforcement with broad experience across community and economic development operations. This individual is a trusted partner to executive leadership, skilled in overseeing multiple divisions, advancing departmental priorities, and representing the City before the Planning Commission, City Council, boards, commissions, developers, and the public.   • Experience: Five (5) years of progressively responsible community and economic development experience, including (2) two years of supervisory experience. 

Chief Building Official

• Any combination of experience and education that could likely provide the required knowledge and abilities would be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills and abilities would be:
  • Experience: At least 6 years of progressively responsible professional experience construction related inspection and design review, and code enforcement with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity. Practical experience with principles and practices of organization, administration, budgeting, and personnel management for a municipal government is preferred.
  • Training: Equivalent to an associate degree from an accredited college with major work in construction technology, engineering, or related field.
    • ICC certification as a Building Official must be obtained within one year of employment
  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
    • Valid CA driver’s license is required.

Deputy Building Official

• Education/Experience
  • Graduation from high school or equivalent based on courses taken from an accredited educational institution.  Associate of Science degree in Building Inspection or related field is preferred.  
  • Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in building inspection, including commercial, of which at least two (2) years must be in a supervisory capacity.   
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
  • Valid CA driver’s license.  
  • Must maintain ICC certification in at least three of the following areas:
    • Commercial building inspector, combination building inspector, electrical inspector, plumbing inspector or mechanical inspector.  These certifications are required at time of hire.  
    • In addition, Plans Examiner certification from ICC is required, but may be obtained within 6 months of hire.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The Neighborhood Response Group (NRG) Coordinator position will be filled within the Management Analyst Series and will be housed in the City Manager’s Office/Administrative Services Department.

The City of Sebastopol is seeking a dynamic, professional leader who is a collaborative problem-solver to serve as the next Planning Director. The Planning Director will direct, oversee, and materially participate in the work of the City’s Planning Department, including current and long-range planning, maintenance of the General Plan, Housing Element, and zoning codes, and review of proposals for construction and development within the City of Sebastopol. The selected candidate will coordinate activities, permits, and projects with other City departments. The Planning Director performs professional planning duties in the fields of long-range planning, current planning, and building permitting, including a variety of diverse professional planning assignments. THE POSITION

Tri-City Mental Health Authority is currently hiring to fill one full-time vacancy for the position of Clinical Therapist II within the Mobile Crisis Care Program (MCCP). 

Tri-City’s MCCP operates 24/7 to provide crucial support in mobile crises. As such, the schedule will involve a 3/12 shift pattern, consisting of three twelve-hour days per workweek and one alternating eight-hour day every other week. Shifts may include evenings, weekends, daytime hours, and holidays.

The specific shift and schedule will be determined by the supervisor; however, the first one to two months of training will follow a 5-day-per-week, 40-hour-per-week schedule

Examples of shifts are included below:

• Day Shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM, or 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• Night Shifts: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 7:00 PM - 3:00 AM, 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM, or 8:00 PM - 4:00 AM

Weekend and night shifts will be entitled to Shift Differential Pay of $2.50 per hour on weekdays (Monday through Friday) and $3.50 per hour on weekends (Saturday and Sunday). Holiday shifts will be entitled to Holiday Pay.

Tri-City is looking for individuals to serve as Clinical Therapist II on a full-time basis for the MCCP. The MCCP Clinical Therapist II will be part of a team that provides crisis intervention and stabilization, linkage and referral, consultation, and education within the scope of practice. The MCCP Clinical Therapist II will report to the Mobile Crisis Care Clinical Supervisor and Clinical Program Manager.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Respond to client’s (Full-Service Partnership and Adult and Children’s Outpatient Programs and other specialty mental health services) crisis calls with or without law enforcement;

THE POSITION

The Psychiatrist I/II will provide medical and psychiatric treatment and diagnostic services to clients in the caseload of Tri-City and provide collaborative work with a multidisciplinary team in a public mental health agency. Provide integrated, effective, and high-quality behavioral health care to the residents of Pomona, Claremont and La Verne with moderate to severe functional impairment due to mental illness.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Perform intake and diagnostic interviews on a scheduled and emergent basis.
   
• Participate in diagnostic staff evaluation of clients.
   
• Provide medical psychiatric treatment of clients.

THE DEPARTMENT

THE POSITION

Tri-City Mental Health Authority is currently hiring to fill two (2) full-time vacancies for the position of Peer Support Specialist I/II (PSS) within the Mobile Crisis Care Program (MCCP). This position requires individuals to work on-site 5 days a week from 9:00am to 5:30pm, until training is successfully completed. THE POSITION

Tri-City Mental Health Authority is currently hiring to fill vacancies for the position of Psychiatric Technician I/II (Licensed) within the Mobile Crisis Care Program (MCCP) for the night shift. 

Tri-City’s MCCP operates 24/7 to provide crucial support in mobile crises. As such, the schedule will involve a 3/12 shift pattern, consisting of three twelve-hour days per workweek and one alternating eight-hour day every other week. Shifts may include weekends, daytime hours, and holidays.

This position will first work a 5/40 schedule for approximately 3-6 months of training before transitioning into the night shift schedule.

Examples of night shifts are included below:

• Night Shifts: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 7:00 PM - 3:00 AM, 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM, or 8:00 PM - 4:00 AM

Weekend and night shifts will be entitled to Shift Differential Pay of $2.50 per hour on weekdays (Monday through Friday) and $3.50 per hour on weekends (Saturday and Sunday). Holiday shifts will be entitled to Holiday Pay.

Positions at the Psychiatric Technician I level may perform some of these duties and responsibilities in a learning capacity.

• Under the direction of clinical staff, provides medication management services to a caseload of clients in the office and in the field; ensures the proper acquisition and administration of medication.
   
• Provides education and training to clients, their families, and/or staff on the proper care and use of medications, including symptoms of, reactions to, or side effects of, specific medications; informs clients of the impact of abuse and/or misuse of medications.
   
• Conducts home/field visits to evaluate client’s physical environment and behavior such as anxiety, withdrawals, and behavioral health progression/regression.
   
• Takes and records measures of clients’ vital signs, physical condition, and behaviors; assists and observes clients self-dispense medication as prescribed by a psychiatrist and administers scheduled injections.
   
• Conducts medication checks on clients to assess their overall medication management capabilities; takes appropriate action if client poses danger with respect to the use or abuse of medication; observes, evaluates, records, and reports to professional staff changes in client’s condition.
   
• Motivates clients to develop self-reliance in daily living; encourages clients to participate in group and/or individual therapy/program activities.
