Currently we have one full time regular position on the outpatient School Based Mental Health Team at Coastside, Half Moon Bay (may occasionally be needed in San Mateo) that is bilingual Spanish required. The position entails working with Special Education students providing intensive individual therapy, family therapy, crisis intervention, and case management.

What we are seeking 

The ideal candidate will possess: 

• Solid clinical treatment, assessment, diagnostic and evaluation skills. 
• Experience/interest in providing treatment to youth (individual therapy, family therapy, and case management). 
• Experience/interest in working with youth with emotional disturbances and with varying degrees of functional impairment and psychiatric presentations.
• Knowledge of Special Education and Individualized Education Plans
• Experience/interest in risk assessments, crisis assessments, and triage.
• Knowledge of principles, techniques and trends in counseling, psychotherapy, clinical case management, crisis management as well as evidence-based practices. 
• Demonstrated ability or interest in working with a broad range of clients from diverse cultures, and backgrounds, and an ability to provide culturally appropriate clinical services. 
• Experience/interest in working in rural communities and/or migrant and seasonal farm working population. 

• Experience/interest in working collaboratively with primary care, psychiatry, and school districts. 
• Experience/interest in generating community referrals and helping clients to connect with those community resources. 
• Comprehensive and timely documentation skills: assessments, progress notes, client care plans, discharge plans, etc. 
• The ability to make sound decisions based on the exercise of judgment and the consideration of all available information. 

Minimum qualifications include: 

Licensure/Certification:

• Psychiatric Social Worker I: Registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an Associate Clinical Social Worker.  If an individual is not registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an Associate Clinical Social Worker at the time of hire, they must have submitted the application, and must obtain and provide the registration number within 90 days of hire.  An individual hired in this classification must become licensed within six years from the date of employment as a Clinical Social Worker issued by the State of California within three years of appointment.
• Psychiatric Social Worker II:  Current California license as a Clinical Social Worker.

• Marriage and Family Therapist I:  Registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. If an individual is not registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist at the time of hire, they must have submitted the application, and must obtain and provide the registration number within 90 days of hire.  An individual hired in this classification must become licensed within six years from the date of employment as a Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of California.

The Position:

This is a professional position in the classified service assigned to work in the City’s Electric Utility Department. The incumbent will manage and operate Windows Server, Active Directory, HP Synergy Compute Modules, SAN / LUN Administration.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major work in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

Minimum Experience Requirements:

Four (4) years experience with real-time energy management systems involving development, implementation, and management.

Acceptable Substitution:

Additional qualifying experience may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required education, up to a maximum of four (4) years.

License/Certifications:

Possession of a valid California Class C driver’s license is required at time of appointment and for the duration of employment.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience with Remote Terminal Units (RTU’s), microprocessor based relays, Distributed Network Protocol (DNP), and ABB Network Manager – S (SPIDER) Energy Management Systems (EMS), VM Ware, virtualization, SAN/NAS storage, and IBM Blade Centers is highly desirable.
   
• Experience using Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems is highly desirable and may be required depending upon assignment.

The Policy Advisor for Public Safety is responsible for tracking and shaping policies related to law enforcement, emergency response services, probation, juvenile justice, and criminal justice reform. The Advisor works to ensure that public safety systems in District 1 are rehabilitative, transparent, equitable, and aligned with community needs. This position reports to the Director of Policy.

Under the direction of a Recreation Supervisor, the Preschool Aide supports the lead teacher in providing a nurturing and educational environment for young children. The City of Menlo Park is seeking engineering professionals, with exceptional technical and project management skills, for Senior Civil Engineer positions in the Public Works Department (Department) Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Division. The Senior Engineer will lead capital improvement projects under the supervision of the City Engineer or Public Works Director. The CIP team delivers projects for City owned facilities including streets, buildings, storm and domestic water, and parks. The Senior Civil Engineer is responsible for executing CIP projects from planning through completion and managing assigned staff.

About the Department

• 26 City-owned buildings/facilities and their grounds
• A fleet of over 250 vehicles and pieces of equipment
• 97 miles of streets
• Drinking water delivery for 16,000 customers
• Flood protection and stormwater management programs particularly along the San Francisco Bay, San Francisquito Creek and Atherton Channel
• 14 parks, 2 open spaces, 14 playgrounds, 2 dog parks, 9 sports fields, and 14 tennis/pickleball courts
• Efforts to preserve and expand the urban canopy, including 20,000 public trees
• Multimodal transportation services including 42 traffic signals, safe routes to schools and citywide shuttle programs. 

The department has nearly a $40 million operating budget supported by over 25 different special/dedicated funding sources for the varied programs and services provided to the community. In addition, the City has an approximate $100 million capital improvement program, in part due to a successful track record in pursuing grants from a variety of local, state and federal sources. The new Community Development Director is a high-level leader proficient in all areas of community development and will function as a key member of the management team in implementing City Council priorities and shaping the future of the City. • Meet with directors, division managers, and other key department staff to collaborate and discuss issues regarding projects, policies, programs, and to determine priorities.

• Confer with public officials, developers, citizen groups, and the general public on highly sensitive matters related to the City’s development regulations and policies.

• Supervise the administration and enforcement of the City’s environmental impact review procedures.

• Interpret, enforce, and propose amendments to the City’s General Plan and related ordinances.

• Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of long-term plans, goals, and objectives focused on achieving the City’s mission and Council priorities.

• Oversee the operations and activities of assigned divisions and staff

• Bachelor’s degree in planning, civil engineering, public administration, urban development/design, or a related field.

• A Master’s degree in a related field is highly desirable.

• Six (6) years of responsible experience in planning, community development, urban design, development, and review, or related field with a background in planning, redevelopment, building operations, or related field.

• Three (3) years of increasingly responsible management experience.

• Previous municipal experience is highly desirable.
