The Tax Director shall be directly responsible to the Tribal Council for the direction, control, and operation of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Tax Department.  The Tax Director will be responsible for managing and expanding the Tax Department, which includes formulating all department administrative policies, processes, tax programs, along with defining all staffing and scope of work.

Staffed by 25 sworn and 11 professional staff, the Department provides police personnel opportunities in patrol services, investigative services, special assignments, dispatch, records and administration.

Located at the crossroads of Interstate 80 and Highway 49, Auburn is the County Seat of Placer County as well as the home of the California Welcome Center. The city is located in the western foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range at elevations between 1,000 and 1,500 feet above sea level. Auburn’s location provides the advantage of being above the valley fog and below the Sierra snow line.
