The fellows will work on-stie at WCC and receive day-to-day guidance and supervision from WCC staff while remaining part of the fellowship cohort and participating in program-wide activities.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Community College Education Policy and Programs Coordinator will support the implementation of Woodland Community College’s new Strategic Plan, with a focus on capacity building, student success, and socioeconomic mobility.

Housed within the Student Services Department, the Coordinator will advance strategic initiatives designed to strengthen student support systems, improve program coordination, and enhance outcomes for disproportionately impacted student populations.

The Fellow will work on a portfolio of projects and related events that may include:

• Analyzing student services data (retention, persistence, completion, utilization of support programs) to identify equity gaps and opportunities for improvement

• Research best practices related to student support programs (e.g., advising, basic needs, financial aid outreach, career services, transfer services)

• Supporting cross-departmental coordination efforts to align student services with strategic plan priorities

• Assisting in the design and implementation of new or redesigned initiatives that promote student success and socioeconomic mobility

• Supporting strategic plan events, stakeholder engagement efforts, and community partnerships

• Develop reports, presentations, training materials, and guides to support students

• Documenting processes and building tools to strengthen institutional capacity within Student Services

A key focus of the role will be translating strategic goals into actionable program improvements that enhance student access, persistence, completion, and post-college outcomes.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The City of Woodland Public Library is seeking a motivated and creative Library Fellow to lead a hands-on, project-based program for children in our makerspace, Square One. This fellowship provides an immersive opportunity to gain practical experience in program development, youth engagement, and community collaboration within a library setting.

The Fellow will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing a part-time day camp program for elementary-aged students that encourages creativity, problem-solving, and hands-on learning. The City of Berkeley invites you to apply for the position of Mechanic in the Public Works Department! In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of equipment including heavy and light trucks, construction equipment, automobiles, other vehicles, and small gasoline engines. The City maintains over 550 vehicles. You will operate a variety of hand, power and shop tools in order to perform maintenance, repairs and overhauls. There are two Equipment Maintenance Shops – one focusing on smaller light duty vehicles and the other focusing on heavy duty vehicles including refuse and recycling trucks.

The Department of Public Works has over 300 employees. In this role, you will work primarily with other Mechanics, Service Technicians, a Lead Mechanic, an Equipment Parts Technician, and administrative and management staff. The Equipment Maintenance Division launched a new asset management software system last year to better manage inventory and repairs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A typical way of gaining the knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position is:

Equivalent to graduation from high school and three (3) years experience at a journey level in the maintenance and repair of vehicles or heavy construction equipment. Course completion in appropriate trade school or technical coursework in electric, diesel, or gasoline powered mechanics leading to journey certification can be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required experience.

Other requirements include possession of a valid California driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record. Must possess a valid class "B" California driver's license with no air brakes restriction, Smog Check Inspector license, and Smog Check Repair Technician license before completing probationary period. ASE Certifications are preferred. A class "A" driver's license is desirable.

The Senior Landscape Architect will plan, supervise, and review the work of City Landscape Architect staff. Camp Newark is seeking a confident, creative, and organized leader to serve as an Activity Coordinator for our dynamic summer camp program. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in high-energy environments and are passionate about creating meaningful experiences for youth ages 6–11. 

The Activity Coordinator plays a key leadership role in planning and delivering engaging daily programming while supporting and supervising camp staff. • Create, schedule, and implement creative camp activities for youth ages 6–11, including arts and crafts, sports, games, and STEM-based enrichment. 

• Lead, mentor, and evaluate camp counselors, including training and delegating responsibilities. 

• Coordinate daily camp schedules, special events, and field trips. 

• Maintain clear and professional communication with parents regarding camper experiences and program information. 

• Ensure a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for all participants. 

• Support overall camp operations and assist with problem-solving as needed. 

This position requires working both indoors and outdoors in a fast-paced summer camp setting. 

WORK SCHEDULE 

Summer-only position (June – August) 

Monday–Friday 

30–35 hours per week 

Applicants should be available throughout the majority of the summer season, with limited vacation time (less than one week preferred).

REQUIREMENTS 

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Plan, lead, and implement recreational activities for children 4-17 (primarily 5-12) years of age in recreational programs. Supervise program participants in indoors and outdoors settings

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES (This is a general description of duties and is not all-inclusive)

• Plan, implement and lead age appropriate activities for children which may include: arts and crafts, dance, drama, games, sports, songleading, storytelling, field trips and special events
• Assist in setting up and taking down of equipment
• Supervise program participants indoors and outdoors
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions
• Assist Camp Director and/or Program Specialist in program development, scheduling special events and activities
• Perform other duties as assigned

SUPERVISION EXERCISED AND RECEIVED

General supervision is provided by the Camp Director and/or Program Specialist and the Recreation Supervisor

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 15 years of age, 16 preferred
• Must have special skills in art, sports, science, theater, music and dance
• Must be able to effectively lead groups and provide an enjoyable experience for young campers
• Must have good organizational skills and reliably complete tasks in a timely manner
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be able to establish and maintain positive and productive relations with others
• Must be able to work in changing indoor and outdoor climates
• Knowledge of recreational principles and practices
• Paid or volunteer experience in a camp or recreational setting for school age children

REQUIREMENTS FOR EMPLOYMENT

• Must be able to handle sensitive and/or stressful situations or information with tact, discretion and significant awareness of confidentiality
• Must effectively communicate with adults and children from a variety of cultural backgrounds
• Willingness to comply with suspected child abuse reporting (11166.5 PC)
• Employees are required to be certified in Adult/Child CPR, First Aid, & AED from American Red Cross, American Heart Association or supervisor approved equivalent. Employees must be certified within 30 days of hire date or prior to the first day of work, whichever occurs earlier.
• Fingerprinting and TB test are required
• Must submit verification of legal right to work in the United States as a condition of employment
