VTA’s Engineering and Program Delivery (EPD) Division is seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer for the Quality Assurance (QA) Group under the Technical Services Department.  

Quality Assurance Group: 
The QA Group supports all capital improvement programs for the Division during planning, design, procurement, construction and closeout phases of highway, rail, transit and facilities projects.  As a Senior Transportation Engineer, you will play an important role in ensuring delivery of quality products and services for the Division. It is the responsibility of the QA Group to ensure the development of each project’s Contract-specific Quality Management Plan (CQMP) and to conduct audits and surveillances, based on the approved CQMPs, to monitor and assure effective implementation. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with VTA staff, consultants and contractors, attention to detail and ability to lead the QA team with day-to-day activities are desirable skill sets.

What You'll be Doing: 
Definition
Under direction, to have charge of varied and difficult engineering work involving the supervision of a professional transportation engineering staff engaged in a variety of activities, such as the planning and design of transportation systems and facilities, the operation of transit systems, special studies or services, and other transportation projects.

Essential Job Functions:

Typical Tasks

• Supervises and directs projects in connection with the planning, design, construction, maintenance and operation of transportation systems including fixed guideways, highway transit, bicycle, airport, and other facilities;
• Supervises the design function, structural analyses and field surveys;
• Makes traffic engineering studies;
• Conducts transit planning and supervises the scheduling of transit operations;
• Supervises the preparation specifications and related documents used in advertising transportation projects for bids;
• Coordinates technical information exchanges with officials of other governmental jurisdictions, other transportation specialists and the public;
• Coordinates with utilities and land and water companies in matters of relocation and rights-of-ways;
• Coordinates legal assistance in the preparation of resolutions, agreements and other legal documents;
• Conducts special studies, and performs related work as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Employment Standards
Training and experience equivalent to graduation from college with major work in engineering and five years professional engineering experience on transportation systems or projects, including assignments which provided the opportunity to demonstrate supervisory abilities.

Registration as a professional engineer in the State of California in a field related to transportation engineering at the time of appointment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and react quickly to emergencies.

The Process Control Technician performs a variety of technical and professional engineering duties related to the design, installation, set-up, programming, troubleshooting and maintenance of hardware, software and instrumentation associated with the District’s Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.

They support Operations and Maintenance by troubleshooting, researching, designing, purchasing, and installing field instrumentation, programmable logic controller (PLC), operator interface terminals (OIT), variable speed drives, electrical systems, and other appurtenances. The Process Control Technician provides PLC and OIT programming and installation support making programming changes as required for the efficient operation of new and existing District facilities.

Qualifications

Experience and Education

The Position: 
An incumbent in this classification is responsible for the safe operation of an assigned swimming pool, including supervising pool personnel, overseeing conduct of pool events, ensuring  collection and security of revenue, and attendant record keeping.  Candidates must be able to serve a variety of ages, abilities and needs in participants from diverse backgrounds with tact and professionalism.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Requirements
• Education equivalent to completion of the eleventh grade; and

Possible Substitution
• One (1) year of experience in lifeguarding and/or swimming instruction with the City of Santa Clara may be substituted for the required three (3) years of experience.

LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATES

• A valid American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certificate or Completion of City of Santa Clara Learn to Swim Instruction Program; and

Position Duties

Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Transportation, the Information Technology (IT) Manager will plan, lead, manage, and execute the technology and innovation efforts of DOT.

The DOT Information Technology (IT) Manager will refine and manage the DOT information technology roadmap, which fuses departmental priorities and opportunities with technology and resource needs. The business plan includes coordination with the IT Department to assess centralized capabilities and opportunities for partnership and advancement of key strategies and systems. Some of the top priorities include:

Implementing innovative field technology improvements and integrated data systems – With the transportation and utility infrastructure spread across 178 square miles of the City, most of the Department’s work, particularly maintenance of the infrastructure, occurs in the field. With
the growth of advanced technologies like the Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) the City has an opportunity to strategically deploy innovations that could save time and resources, as well as improve response times. The IT Manager will work with the IT Department, the City Manager’s Office, and other City Departments to lead the assessment of existing processes and systems to identify, develop, and implement automated workflows to improve efficiency and productivity.

Automating, updating, and supporting multiple IT Systems – DOT has a number of important IT needs and coordination efforts that are identified and prioritized in the DOT IT Business Plan. These projects include the maintenance and development of feature request applications in our Salesforce Work Order platform, updates to the Geographic Information System (GIS), and upgrades of various administrative and engineering databases.

Coordinating Civic Innovation – The DOT IT Manager will also play a lead role in planning and implementing DOT’s Civic Innovation Projects. The transportation industry is dramatically changing around us with the emergence of Automated Vehicles, highly advanced traffic signal management systems, and complex data reporting and analytics capabilities. In alignment with the San Jose’s technology vision and in coordination with the Mayor’s and City Manager’s Office, the DOT IT Manager will build upon current momentum to make San Jose one of the most innovative cities. The IT Manager supervises and/or coordinates staff in the Information Systems Analyst, Senior Geographic Systems Specialist, Systems Applications Programmer, Network Engineer, Innovation Program Manager, and Network Technician classifications.

Key General Responsibilities:

• Develops, coordinates, guides, and maintains IT system strategic and tactical plans in support of the department’s overall direction and within the framework of Citywide IT protocols and standards.
• Plans, implements, and manages the department’s information technology operations ensuring efficient utilization of resources.

Minimum Qualifications

Education
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with coursework in computer science, information systems, business administration, or closely related field

Experience
Five (5) years of experience managing, maintaining, and implementing technology programs, computer system infrastructure and design, network operations, security design, application development and configurations, and system/server administration, including three (3) years of supervisory experience over a technical team.

Certifications/Licenses
One or more credentials in Salesforce is desired, preferably certification as a Salesforce Administrator and/or Developer.

Possession of a valid license authorizing operation of a motor vehicle in California. The selected candidate will be enrolled in the Employer Pull Notice (EPN) program; an authorization for release of driver record information form must be signed as a condition of employment.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The approved salary range for this position goes up to $183,248. Employees in the Department Information Technology (IT) Manager classification will also receive an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable pay.

The actual salary will depend on the qualifications and experience of the individual selected. The City provides an array of benefits.

• Retirement – Competitive retirement system with full reciprocity with CalPERS.

• Health Insurance – The City contributes 100% towards the premium for the lowest cost plan. There are several plan options.

• Dental Insurance – The City contributes 100% of the premium of the
  lowest priced plan for dental coverage.

• Personal Time – Vacation is accrued initially at the rate of three weeks per year with amounts increasing up to five weeks after 15 years of service. Executive Leave of 48 hours is granted annually with the ability to earn up to 40 extra hours annually based on performance. Sick Leave is accrued at the rate of 8 hours per month.

• Holidays – The City observes 15 paid holidays annually.

DESCRIPTION:

The Department:

The Parks and Recreation Department provides planning, development, operation, maintenance, and rehabilitation of the City's neighborhood parks, open space, water sites, recreation buildings, and trails.

The Position:

Under supervision, to perform a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled tasks in connection with the development and maintenance of City parks and recreational facilities.

As an As-needed Laborer, the successful incumbent will work in the department, performing routine maintenance on various parks and facilities including the city-owned cemetery. This position will assist in maintenance and repair using a variety of tools and specialized equipment. 

The Laborer position performs varied, unskilled and skilled manual tasks related to landscape maintenance and sanitization. Typical tasks include cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and buildings, loading trash and leaves in truck, litter abatement, mowing, edging, cleaning park sites, graffiti abatement, and operating a variety of hand/power tools and heavy equipment as needed. This position may require working weekends, holidays, and after hours. Must be able to read, speak, and write English at a basic level, follow written and oral instruction, and perform heavy lifting.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

The Instructor-Lifeguard functions as both a swimming instructor and a lifeguard at a City swimming pool.    An incumbent conducts classes at all participant skill levels (beginning through advanced) and supervises the conduct of swimmers in City pools in order to maintain a safe environment.   This class is distinguished from the Lifeguard in that the latter has a sole focus on lifeguard responsibilities.  This recruitment may be used to fill multiple positions in this, or other divisions or departments. Typical Duties

Each position in this classification may not include all the duties listed below, nor do the examples cover all duties that may be performed.
Under general supervision:
• Conducts swimming instruction classes at various participant age and skill levels
• Administers practical swimming tests to determine participants' skill levels
• Maintains class participant attendance, activity, and progress records
• Observes swimmers at a City operated swimming pool; warning those who violate pool safety rules, and expelling them, if necessary, for willful disobedience
• Maintains a safe but enjoyable poolside atmosphere for participants by continuously monitoring  pool facility for potential problems or dangerous situations
• Rescues swimmers who are in distress;  administers first aid and artificial respiration, if necessary, according to prescribed methods
• Cleans, disinfects, and maintains the pool, pool decks, overflow gutter, shower rooms and other pool facility areas
• Performs other related duties as assigned

 

Minimum Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Requirements:
• Education equivalent to completion of the tenth grade; and
• No experience required; and
• Must be at least 16 years of age at time of application

LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATES
Possession of the following is required:
• A valid American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certificate or Completion of City of Santa Clara Learn To Swim Instruction Program; and
• A valid American Red Cross Lifeguard certificate; and
• In accordance with State of California law, a valid California Work Permit is required at time of appointment for candidates under the age of 18 who have not graduated from high school or been awarded a certificate of proficiency

SVP currently provides over 600 Megawatts of power to residential and business customers within Santa Clara, of which 40 percent of comes from carbon-free renewable resources. The Positions: 

Silicon Valley Power is recruiting to fill various Electric Program Manager positions in the following specialties: Capital Project, Contracts, Distributed Energy Resources and Storage, Environmental, Safety, and System Operations.  

Capital Project Management

The focus and priority of this position will be to perform complex professional project management work to support the successful completion of over $300 million in near-term capital improvement program projects to support electric utility load growth.  The position is assigned to the customer development and project management unit which manages, plans, and oversees the development and implementation of the capital improvement program. This position will report to the Principal Electric Utility Engineer overseeing the System Expansion Program and will work collaboratively on the management of these critical projects. The individual will perform and manage the work related to planning, design, construction, operations, and maintenance of utility projects, including receiving stations, substations, electric transmission and distribution facilities, and other electrical infrastructure.  The incumbent is expected to manage consultants and directly administer public works contracts. Experience in electric utility engineering, utility asset management, GIS and work order management system is desirable.

• Distinguishing Characteristics/Experience:
  1. Direct knowledge in managing, planning, and overseeing the development and implementation of Capital Improvement Program(s) (CIP).
  2. Ability to provide extensive, in-depth, and specialized administrative, budgetary, financial, and compliance research, analysis, and support.
  3. Experience in management, engineering, financial, high-level administrative planning and analysis, and/or project management experience.

Contracts Portfolio 

The focus and priority of this position will be to perform complex professional work to support the development and management of SVP’s contracts portfolio.  SVP’s operation requires hundreds of unique contracts including specialized services agreements, leases, agreements with customers for substation construction, funding and deposits, public works contracts, license agreements, power purchase and resource adequacy agreements, as well as other unique agreements.  The position is assigned to the Business Services Division.  The incumbent will both lead staff supporting contracts functions and have direct involvement in negotiating and reviewing contracts.   Experience in utility contracts is desirable.

• Distinguishing Characteristics/Experience:
  • Direct knowledge and experience in contracts review, negotiating, and management for a variety of contract types.
  • Ability to providing extensive, in-depth, and specialized administrative, budgetary, financial, and compliance research, analysis, and support
  • Experience in managing and assigning work to administrative and clerical staff.

 

Distributed Energy Resources, Renewable Energy and Power Purchase Contracts

This position develops and implements cutting edge programs entailing distributed and renewable generation, energy storage, demand response, and microgrids. Incumbents perform professional level, individual work in project development.  Duties may include supervising and participating in the conduct of studies and surveys, data interpretation, forecasting, commodity purchasing, contract negotiation, pricing/rate making, engineering studies, development of policies and procedures, evaluating regulatory and legislative initiatives, preparing, reviewing, and managing budgets and operations.  Commodity purchasing and contract negotiation may include evaluation and development of strategies for electricity generation, both distributed and utility scale. Incumbents may supervise management and non-management staff and act as project team leaders and manage programs and projects.  Project management responsibilities include preparing RFPs, evaluating proposals, and managing contractors and consultants. 

 

Environmental

This position will ensure the City’s compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulatory agency requirements and guidelines pertaining to Air Quality, Water, Wastewater, Storm water, and Industrial waste.   This position will work with staff across multiple Divisions to develop, implement, and perform procedures and guidelines designed to ensure compliance and develop staff.  They will compose, compile, track, and analyze information related to regulatory, program, and compliance oversight. This position will act as SVP’s Subject Matter Expert and provide technical and functional advisement to Management and Staff concerning Environmental Compliance. This position requires in-depth knowledge of Federal, State, and Local laws/regulations. This position also requires the ability to forecast and identify compliance issues and to develop mitigation strategies to correct issues. The position will also assist in the development of budgets, service contracts and training programs.

Safety

This position establishes, implements, and enforces an effective department wide safety and compliance program that prevents injury and illness. They will work to ensure that employees, both management and non-management, comply with the rules and regulations of Federal, State and Local Regulatory Agencies, and that company safety and compliance policies and procedures are consistently followed.

The position will also facilitate the development and completion of the department’s compliance and controls register, controls testing and auditing, standards development and review, horizon scanning for new and changing regulatory requirements, and serving as an OSHA subject matter for the department. The position will also assist in the development of budgets, service contracts and training programs. 

System Operations

This position will administer programs for work management, maintenance monitoring and asset management focused in all areas of Utility Operations (Metering, Substations, Transmission and Distribution). This position will also be responsible for the performance, review, and implementation of improvements to these programs.  The position will develop, maintain, and improve SVP’s Outage Management System. This position will work to ensure compliance with all applicable NERC standards and seek constant improvement in SVP Work and Safety standards affecting System Operations. The position will also assist in the development of budgets, service contracts and training programs.

ACCEPTABLE SUBSTITUTION
•    For Generation/Substation/Transmission and Distribution/System Operations Specialties: additional years of experience in a role equivalent to, but not limited to a Control Room Operator, Electric Utility Technician, Engineer, Lineworker, or working in a lead, supervisory, or senior role performing work, including but not limited to a Supervisor, Manager, Lead Technician, or Foreperson may substitute for the degree requirement on a year for year basis up to four (4) years.
•    For Generation/Substation/Transmission and Distribution/System Operations Specialties: Two (2) years of experience working in a role equivalent to, but not limited to a Control Room Operator, Electric Utility Technician, Engineer, or Lineworker may be substituted for one (1) year of experience as a lead, supervisor, or senior role up to six (6) years.
•    Two (2) years of experience in customer related programs, project management, building facilities management, or writing, developing or administering safety or environmental compliance standards may be substituted one (1) year of experience as a lead, supervisor, manager, and coordinator experience up to six (6) years. 

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
•    An advanced degree in Engineering, Public or Business Administration, Environmental Sciences or related field is desirable.
•    When assigned to Systems and Project Management, a: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from Project Management Institute (PMI) or an equivalent certification from accredited program is desirable.
•    When assigned to Generation/Substation/Transmission and Distribution/System Operations  Specialties, experience working in a power plant, substation,  transmission &  distribution, or Electric System Control Center environment is desirable.
•    When assigned to Safety Compliance, an in depth knowledge of OSHA and CalOSHA standards is desirable. 
•    When assigned to Environmental Compliance, an in-depth knowledge of Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasures (SPCC), Air Permits, and Water Permits is desirable.

GOVERNANCE

THE DEPARTMENT

The San José Police Department is dedicated to providing public safety through community partnerships and 21st Century Policing practices, ensuring equity for all. The San Jose Police Department has authorized 1,172 sworn officers and 569 civilian staff in four Bureaus comprised of 11 divisions with more than 61 specialized Units and assignments. The Department is responsible for policing a city of 181 square miles and over one million residents.

THE POSITION

The City of San José Police Department (SJPD) is seeking an experienced executive to serve as Deputy Director and lead the Bureau of Technical Services. Under the direction of the Assistant Chief of Police, the Deputy Director is responsible for developing and overseeing the Department’s strategic technology plan while managing Police Department support divisions, including the Systems Development Division (IT Division), Crime Analysis Unit, Body-Worn Camera Unit, BTS Technology Portfolio Manager, Interoperability Manager, and serving as the City-designated Working Committee board member for the Silicon Valley Regional Interoperability Association.

This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring that SJPD remains at the forefront of law enforcement technology, enhancing officer effectiveness, improving emergency response capabilities, and maintaining public trust. By integrating advanced technology solutions and data-driven decision-making, the Deputy Director directly contributes to the Department’s mission of protecting and serving the San José community with excellence and integrity.

As a key executive within the Police Department, the Deputy Director collaborates closely with the Chief, Assistant Chief, and Deputy Chiefs to lead a dynamic, progressive law enforcement agency. The Deputy Director must bring a balanced combination of law enforcement expertise, technical proficiency, and data analytical skills to drive operational effectiveness, officer safety, and community engagement through innovative technology solutions. This position oversees a staff of 48 with six direct reports and plays a crucial role in ensuring the Department’s IT infrastructure is resilient, secure, and aligned with the mission-critical needs of first responders.

Duties include, but may not be limited to the following:

•    Mentor and lead multiple teams by setting clear division goals, establishing performance standards, and conducting regular staff evaluations. Provide coaching and professional development opportunities to ensure team members align with the Police Department’s strategic IT objectives and operational priorities.

•    Develop, oversee, and enforce Police Department IT governance structures, policies, and security protocols to ensure that technology investments and initiatives support law enforcement operations, mitigate risks, and comply with DOJ Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) Security Policies, as well as other relevant law enforcement regulations and standards.

•    Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the Police Department’s IT infrastructure by leveraging emerging technologies, industry best practices, and data-driven solutions. Identify opportunities to enhance system performance, cybersecurity, scalability, and reliability while optimizing cost efficiency to support critical policing functions, officer safety, and real-time intelligence operations.

•    Proactively monitor and assess the Police Department’s technology solutions, ensuring system roadmaps align with operational needs, investigative requirements, and future policing advancements. Develop strategies to modernize infrastructure, enhance digital forensics capabilities, and improve emergency response efficiency.

•    Collaborate with executive leadership across the Police Department to drive strategic technology initiatives that enhance investigative capabilities, crime analysis, real-time intelligence gathering, and public safety outcomes.

•    Oversee resource allocation and budget management, ensuring timely and measurable technology advancements within financial constraints. Provide strategic recommendations on IT investments and actively participate in long-term technology planning and public safety modernization efforts.

•    Establish and maintain strong partnerships with external vendors, technology providers, and law enforcement agencies to ensure seamless integration of mission-critical solutions. Negotiate contracts, manage vendor performance, and enforce compliance with CJIS security standards to safeguard law enforcement data and digital assets.

•    Collaborate with patrol, investigations, and command staff to integrate technology that enhances officer situational awareness and investigative efficiency. Build strong relationships with regional law enforcement agencies, technology partners, and public safety stakeholders to advance interoperability and intelligence-sharing.

•    Promote employee wellness, staff engagement, and professional development to maintain a highly skilled and mission-focused team. 

•    Directs and oversees the Systems Development Division (SDD), which consists of three specialized teams: the Applications Team, responsible for software solutions and law enforcement applications; the Infrastructure Team, managing networks, servers, and cybersecurity; and the Sworn Team, comprising one sergeant and four officers, ensuring seamless integration of technology with policing operations. This division plays a critical role in advancing the San José Police Department’s technology infrastructure and IT operations, consisting of 23 professionals. SDD drives strategic IT initiatives that enhance investigative capabilities, real-time intelligence, and public safety outcomes. SDD ensures compliance, cybersecurity, and operational resilience by implementing robust governance structures, enforcing CJIS security policies, and leveraging emerging technologies. SDD is managed by a Division Manager who provides leadership and strategic direction to ensure the success of the department’s technology initiatives.

•    Direct and oversee the Crime Analysis Unit (CAU), which is responsible for crime data collection, analysis, and reporting to support strategic, tactical, and administrative law enforcement functions. Ensure compliance with National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS) standards for accurate and timely crime reporting to local, state, and federal agencies. Lead the development and enhancement of Power BI dashboards and other analytical tools to provide real-time operational insights to command staff, patrol, and investigative units.

•    Direct and oversee the Body-Worn Camera (BWC) Unit and Photo Lab, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, including data retention, security, and public disclosure policies. Ensure the secure storage, retrieval, and management of digital evidence to support investigations, prosecutions, and public transparency. Support public trust and department accountability by implementing best practices for digital evidence management, audit processes, and system integrity.

•    Supervise the Bureau of Technical Services Technology Project Manager, who centralizes and manages all departmentwide projects. This includes overseeing project portfolio management to support executive decision-making on portfolios, projects, programs, and operations. 

•    Supervise the Interoperability Manager, who is responsible for public safety communications and data-sharing across law enforcement agencies. Represent the Police Department in regional and statewide public safety technology initiatives to enhance interagency cooperation and emergency response coordination.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate will be an inspirational and engaged leader capable of advocating and ensuring the success of the Bureau of Technical Services. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to build positive relationships and engage with several entities, such as the Silicon Valley Regional Interoperability Authority and the Urban Areas Security Initiative, as well as staff and City leadership. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the other Deputy Chiefs to ensure the mission of the Department and vision of the Chief is accomplished.

The Deputy Director must be an exceptional and seasoned technology professional who can lead a dynamic and forward-thinking organization. A candidate with a comprehensive background in data analytics is sought. A leader in the IT field with strong management and communication skills is desired.

•    Experience researching, data mining implementing industry best practices, and demonstrated experience in deploying technology to leverage the talents of staff.
•    Demonstrated success in records management, budget management, and public presentations.
•    A conscientious, professional, and positive individual able to gain credibility and trust within an organization through mutual respect, effective communication, and listening skills.
•    A proven track record and commitment to ensuring success given the challenges of budgetary and staffing deficits is preferred. A solid understanding of the municipal purchasing process is required. 
•    An engaged and inclusive, responsive to the needs of staff and the department and the sense of urgency required in a public safety environment. 
 

QUALIFYING EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Education 

•    A bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, public administration, business administration, information technology, data analytics, or a related field from an accredited college or university.

Experience

•    A minimum of six (6) years of progressively responsible leadership experience in law enforcement technology, crime analysis, digital evidence management, IT governance, or public safety operations within a public or private agency.

•    Experience in a law enforcement, nonprofit, public sector, or corporate environment working with a governing board and in a union, environment is highly desirable.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The salary range for the Deputy Director is $161,513.30 - $260,737.36

Placement within this range will be dependent upon the qualifications and experience of the individual selected. This salary includes an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable compensation. The salary is supplemented by an attractive benefits package that includes, but is not limited to: 

•    Retirement – Competitive defined benefit retirement plan with full reciprocity with CalPERS.
•    Health Insurance – The City contributes 90% towards the premium for the lowest-priced non-deductible plan. Several plan options are available. 
•    Dental Insurance – The City contributes 100% of the premium of the lowest-priced plan for dental coverage. 
•    Personal Time – Vacation is accrued initially at the rate of three weeks per year with amounts increasing up to five weeks after 15 years of service. Vacation accrual may be adjusted for successful candidates with prior public service to reflect a vacation accrual rate commensurate with total years of public service. Executive Leave of 40 hours is granted annually and depending upon success in the Management Performance Program, could increase to up to 80 hours. Sick Leave is accrued at the rate of approximately 8 hours per month. 
•    Holidays – The City observes 15 paid days annually. 
•    Deferred Compensation – The City offers an optional 457(b) plan. 
•    Flexible Spending Accounts – The City participates in Dependent Care Assistance and Medical Reimbursement Programs. 
•    Insurance – The City provides a term life insurance policy equal to two times annual salary. Long-term disability and AD&D plans are optional.
