The Fiscal Analyst I position, performs varied and complex professional accounting and financial analysis work relating to various grants and programs; fiscal and contract management; fiscal program analysis and compliance; prepares analytical, narrative, statistical, accounting and financial reports; develops and monitors budgets; and prepares financial statements and reports and related duties as required. Fiscal Analyst I is the entry-level classification in the Fiscal Analyst series. Incumbents in this class work under supervision. This position is scheduled for forty (40) hours per week, is an in-person position and located in Glenn County, California.  

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Prepares reports and analysis on accounting activities relating to funds, grants, and programs.
• Prepares various financial statements including worksheets, balance sheets, income statements, statements of cash flow, adjusting and closing balance sheets, depreciation  schedules, allocation schedules, and cost reports.
• Reconciles accounts.
• Compiles and analyzes data. 
• Works to determine reasons for significant differences between anticipated revenues, expenditures and fund balances in department budgets. 

The Staff Services Specialist position performs a variety of technical administrative duties in support of facilities management, budget, administrative functions, department projects, and programs that require a thorough knowledge of the terminology, procedures, and practices for the assigned functional area. This position will be a part of the Agriculture Department within the Air Pollution Control District. This position is full-time and is scheduled for (40) hours per week.

JOB DUTIES

• Reviews, verifies, and processes documents related to department activities including budgets, contracts, grants, claims, legislation, purchasing, and other specialized documents based on area of assignment.
• Tracks progress of projects, payments, expenditures, and reimbursements.
• Creates, maintains, and monitors facility related agreements and contracts with outside vendors and contractors; monitors vendor/contractor/landlord performance, ensuring discrepancies or problems are resolved and work is done in accordance with contractual requirements.
• Prepares presentations, general and technical correspondence, and promotional materials; develops forms, tracking systems, databases, and spreadsheets.
• Provides liaison and staff support to committees, commissions, and department management.

THE POSITION
The Deputy Director of the Public Works Agency plays a critical leadership role overseeing the Roads and Engineering Divisions. This position is responsible for the planning, execution, and oversight of major infrastructure projects, public works programs, and disaster recovery initiatives. Working under the general direction of the Agency Director, the Deputy Director provides strategic direction, operational oversight, and interdepartmental coordination to ensure efficient service delivery, regulatory compliance, and community engagement. The role also serves as Acting Director in the Director’s absence and represents the agency in meetings with officials, stakeholders, and the public. This position is scheduled for forty (40) hours per week. This recruitment may be used to establish a list to fill future vacancies for the next six (6) months.

• Oversees the preparation of solicitation documents for construction projects, manages the bid process including pre-bid conferences and site walk-throughs, responds to bidder inquiries, and administers construction contracts, including budgeting and assisting with regulatory permitting.
• Supervises consultant contracts for public works services, monitors project performance, and ensures departmental processes comply with contract provisions and standards.
•  Coordinates with consultants, staff engineers, and other stakeholders to guide the preparation of plans and specifications for public works projects
•  Identifies alternative funding sources, coordinates grant and loan applications, secures funding, monitors expenditures, and tracks project outcomes.

The Marysville Police Department is recruiting for the position of Public Safety Dispatcher.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Develop and lead a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy aligned with First 5 Orange County’s mission and strategic plan.
• Lead content development across all platforms, including website, newsletters, social media, presentations, and marketing collateral.
• Plan, write, and oversee the production of marketing collateral such as brochures, fact sheets, infographics, flyers, and other outreach materials.
• Manage and produce the organization’s annual report, ensuring it effectively communicates impact, financial transparency, and community outcomes.
• Coordinate visual storytelling efforts, including photography and videography at community events and for campaigns.
• Oversee the planning, creation, and publication of compelling content that educates, informs, and inspires action.
• Manage and optimize the organization’s website for content accuracy, accessibility, SEO, and user experience.
• Design and execute social media strategies to increase engagement and awareness, managing both content and performance metrics.

DEFINITION: Plan, organize and execute personal curriculum for elementary age children for a one hour onsite outdoor enrichment program. Program hours could include Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 2pm – 4pm and Wednesday 1:15pm – 3:15pm, preparation hours can be discussed.

This position is expected to be active from approximately May through November.  The actual start and end dates will be dependent on weather and snow conditions and may be extended beyond 6 months, but no more than 9 months from the employment start date.  The eligibility list established from this recruitment will be used to fill current and future vacancies. Successful applicants will serve an important role on the Fire Prevention team.

The Defensible Space Inspector works under the direct supervision of the Division Chief of Fire and Life Safety or their designee.

The North Tahoe Fire Protection District is currently accepting applications for current and future job openings from qualified individuals to serve on the chipping crew. These positions are grant-funded, seasonal positions assigned to a 40-hour work week. These positions are returning to the fire district in 2025, and we’ll be hiring three people to operate the chipping crew.  This position is expected to be active from approximately May through November.  The actual start and end dates will be dependent on weather and snow conditions and may be extended beyond 6 months, but no more than 9 months from the employment start date.  The eligibility list established from this recruitment will be used to fill current and future vacancies.  

The Chipping Crew Members work under the direct supervision of the Division Chief of Fire and Life Safety or their designee.  

The primary purpose of this crew is to operate a residential chipping program for the local community. This includes responding to chipping requests, traveling to those addresses with a truck and chipper, chipping the material, ensuring a clean site upon leaving, potentially hauling and dumping the material at a temporary holding site, assisting with loading, and ensuring activities are adequately tracked. The applicant must be comfortable working in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions and lifting objects frequently up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.  Chipping crew members will also assist with community workdays utilizing the truck and chipper or assisting with cutting and hauling combustible materials and filling green waste dumpsters.
