The County of Yuba is recruiting for the position of Social Worker III/III Master’s Level in the Child and Adult Protective Services Division of the Health & Human Services Department in an effort to establish an eligibility list for future vacancies. Under general supervision, incumbents are fully competent to independently perform the most complex and sensitive social services case work by providing a variety of services to County residents; identify, access and document abuse and neglect cases; provide counseling and support services to children and parents; refer clients to services; prepare detailed, complex court documents and testify in court as required; and perform related work as assigned. The work may be related to a specific program area or to more general social service benefit provision. The Social Worker III and the Social Worker III – Master’s Level are the advanced journey-level classes in the general social work series.

Housing Programs Specialist II

Hourly Range: $34.44 - $46.15 DOQ

Bi-weekly: $2,755.20 - $3,692.00

This position will serve as the primary contact for all applicants applying for housing assistance programs and the administration of rental assistance programs. The incumbent will perform technical and programmatic aspects, requiring the interpretation and application of regulations, policies, and procedures to determine the eligibility of program services, ensuring accurate processing of data, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. 

What our Team is looking for:
Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience likely to provide the required core competencies may be considered. A typical combination that is qualifying may include:

• An associate degree with coursework in liberal arts, humanities, social work, business, public administration, or a related field.
• Two (2) years of responsible experience providing direct client services including caseload management functions with an assisted housing or other social services program and customer service.
• A bachelor’s degree is desirable.
• Bilingual skills are desired, but not required.

Asset Management Coordinator

How You Will Make an Impact:

The Santa Clara County Housing Authority (SCCHA) is seeking an Asset Management Coordinator to support the agency's affordable housing initiatives and asset management goals. The Coordinator handles a mix of technical and administrative tasks, including responding to inquiries, researching and compiling information, and managing specialized reporting projects. Additionally, the role involves tracking and reconciling financial, operational, and statistical records. The Coordinator also provides confidential support to management, staff, and various boards. This position assists with onboarding new hires and manages office arrangements for team members. It's a dynamic position requiring a mix of organizational skills and attention to detail.

This position requires knowledge of asset management, property maintenance, construction project management, capital planning and systems management, budget preparation, and financial modeling to analyze portfolio performance.

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in community development, business, economics, urban planning, civil engineering, architecture, or a related field; and

Certification as a California Notary public is desirable.

Certifications in Section 8 and LIHTC compliance, Fair Housing and Excel experience is desirable.

This role involves performing a range of complex and varied technical and professional accounting tasks, including auditing, analyzing, and verifying financial records and reports. The incumbent will play a crucial role in managing the financial activities of an affordable housing portfolio of about 30 properties. This would include the preparation of financial and statistical reports, coordinate annual audits, assist with budget preparation, and ensure the accuracy and compliance of financial statements.

A solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and strong data analysis skills are highly preferred, along with proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel.

• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in accounting, finance, or business, or closely related field; and

JOB HIGHLIGHTS

• Operate and maintain water distribution and treatment facilities.
• Operate and adjust pumps, motors, feeders, and other specialized equipment.

The North Tahoe Fire Protection District is currently accepting applications for current and future job openings from qualified individuals to serve in the role of Defensible Space Inspector. These are seasonal grant-funded positions assigned to a 40-hour work week. This position is expected to be active from approximately May through November.  The actual start and end dates will be dependent on weather and snow conditions and may be extended beyond 6 months, but no more than 9 months from the employment start date.  The eligibility list established from this recruitment will be used to fill current and future vacancies. Successful applicants will serve an important role on the Fire Prevention team.

The Defensible Space Inspector works under the direct supervision of the Division Chief of Fire and Life Safety or their designee.
