This position performs a variety of work in the monitoring of county, state and federal detainees and maintains the security and safety of inmates and staff.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES

• Performs booking procedures, including receiving, booking and assigning prisoners to cells; performing body searches; fingerprinting, and photographing prisoners, etc.

On-Call Expectations

Emergency Coordinators may be assigned on-call duties with a minimum of 7 days' advance notice, distributed equitably among qualified staff. During on-call periods, employees must remain within 30 miles of the facility and respond within 30 minutes of notification while maintaining reliable communication. Employees will be compensated for all on-call hours outside of normal working hours under applicable labor standards and collective bargaining agreements. Employees retain the right to engage in personal activities during on-call periods, cannot be assigned more than 7 consecutive days without a 48-hour break, and maintain full union representation rights and grievance procedures for any on-call related issues. The Emergency Dispatcher I/II position in the Sheriff’s Department performs a variety of difficult work in the provision of 24-hour-per-day, seven-days-per-week public safety emergency dispatch service, including all 911 communications. Emergency Dispatcher I is the entry level class in the Emergency Dispatcher series.  It differs from Emergency Dispatcher II in that the II level is fully trained as a dispatcher and may provide training for the Dispatcher I. The Operations Contract Administrator reports to the Manager, Bus Contracts, and is responsible for the development and compliance of multiple third-party contracts of the San Mateo County Transit District.

• Manage fixed route, paratransit, shuttles, microtransit, and other third-party contracts. 
• Answer inquiries regarding operation from both internal and external customers.
• Investigate, identify and correct operational problems. 
• Develop operational and technical provisions for each service agreement.

San Mateo County Health is seeking a well-qualified individuals for the position of Environmental Health Specialist IV - Consumer Protection Programs. Duties within the Consumer Protection Programs include:
