POLICE OFFICER - Academy Graduate - $8,134 to $11,030 per month (up to $12,684 with incentives)

The City of Pleasant Hill is currently seeking applicants for Police Officer Academy Graduate. We offer excellent pay, benefits, opportunities for promotion, as well as the opportunity to serve a great community that values the services we provide.

Police Officers can serve in patrol, traffic, investigations, and K-9 assignments. Other collateral opportunities include instructor positions (Firearms and Force Options Team), Regional SWAT, Mobile Field Force, 10851 Task Force, CSI, Regional Major Accident Investigation Team, Driving Team with firearms and force options team, Crisis Intervention Team (CIT), FBI Safe Streets Task Force, SET Team, Drone Team, Social Media Team, Community Resource Officer, School Resource Officer, and Field Training Officers. EDUCATION:

Academy Graduates (no sworn experience) - High school diploma and a minimum of 45 units of college-level course work, in addition to graduation from a P.O.S.T. basic academy.

Academy Graduate candidates with an honorable discharge may be credited with up to 15 semester units for a minimum of 3 years of active duty in the U.S. Armed Services (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard).

THE POSITION

Tri-City is now actively recruiting for a Clinical Supervisor I or II to lead the MHSSA Grant Team within Tri-City's Child & Family Clinic. This position is a part of a newly federally funded MHSSA Grant Team set to end in December 2026  The Clinical Supervisor I/II position will report to the Clinical Program Manager and will supervise a four staff including Clinical Therapists and Mental Health Specialists.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Collaborate with grant partners, assisting with partner meetings and meeting all grant requirements, i.e. data gathering, service implementation, maintaining ongoing collaboration and participating in trainings);

• Provide individual and group supervision to MHSSA Grant staff including clinicians and mental health support workers; train on Department of Mental Health documentation & review documentation to ensure compliance;

• Will provide guidance to subordinates on Agency philosophy, goals, objectives, policies and procedures through casework conferences, staff meetings, and work review;

• Will participate in creating programs that will increase access to mental health services in locations throughout the community that are easily accessible for students and their families;

• Create and foster partnerships with the local school districts, County Office of Education and local charter schools;

• Work directly with or work with staff who work directly with at high-risk youth, foster youth, youth who identify as LGBTQ+, and youth who have been suspended or expelled from school and their families to provide culturally inclusive and relevant mental health services such as early intervention, suicide prevention, drop-out prevention, evidence based mental health practices and the development and coordination of service plans to address ongoing needs;

• Will assist and participate in the development and coordination of in-service training and staff development programs;

• Will analyze existing caseloads and forecast resource needs; May also carry a caseload;

• Will implement and ensure compliance with mandated documentation and quality assurance requirements to ensure efficient and effective operation of the unit in compliance with federal and state regulations;

THE DEPARTMENTS & DIVISIONS
 The Utilities Department is a newly formed department focused on delivering exceptional water and wastewater services. The team promotes excellence in operations, integrity in decision-making, and collaborative problem-solving. The Utilities Department manages a combined budget of approximately $30.9 million for FY25, with $16.4 million allocated to sewer services and $14.5 million to water services. The Utilities Department supports regional wastewater treatment through technical and strategic engineering work at the South County Regional Wastewater Authority (SCRWA). EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS

Utilities Business Manager:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in business, public administration, accounting, or other similar field of study. Master’s degree is desirable.
• Experience: 4+ years professional finance or budget experience, including 1 year supervisory.

Utilities Operations Manager:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, environmental sciences, public administration, or a related field of study.
• Experience: 3-7+ years of relevant utilities operations and supervisory experience.

CERTIFICATION & LICENSING REQUIREMENTS

• Senior Environmental Engineer - Wastewater: Must possess a valid Certificate of Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of California. If an applicant possesses all of the minimum qualifications, except registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of California, the applicant may (at city’s sole discretion) be allowed up to one (1) year to obtain registration as a condition of employment.
• Utilities Operations Manager: Must possess a California Drinking Water Distribution Grade D2 certification (or obtain within 12 months of hire), and obtain CWEA Collection System Maintenance Grade I and Water Treatment Grade T1 certifications within the same timeframe.

Initial placement in the salary range is typically within the first half of the range; however, in certain circumstances (i.e. an experienced lateral candidate) placement at or above the midpoint may be considered. The City of Menlo Park is currently accepting applications to fill a Mechanic vacancy in the Fleet Services Section of the Public Works Department. A Mechanic performs diagnostic, maintenance and repair services on light and heavy city vehicles and equipment, such as automobiles, storm/sewer trucks, aerial bucket trucks, dump trucks shuttle buses, construction equipment, lawn mowers, small equipment and stationary generators; and performs other duties as assigned.

The Mechanic performs a range of skilled tasks requiring journey level mechanical ability and aptitude. Work assignments are performed according to established rules and procedures. Independent judgment is required and is supported by supervisory review and direction.

Equipment Mechanic

Responsible for performing the full range of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, gasoline and diesel repair and maintenance required for City vehicles, and equipment. Responsibilities include inspecting and attending to assigned areas in a timely manner, and performing a wide variety of tasks in the maintenance and repair of assigned vehicles and equipment. Incumbents are expected to work independently and exercise judgment and initiative. Positions at this level receive only occasional instruction or assistance as new or unusual situations arise and are fully aware of the operating procedures and policies of the work unit. This class is distinguished from other maintenance class series in that it performs more highly skilled technical and mechanical maintenance activities. San Mateo County Health is seeking a well-qualified individuals for the position of Environmental Health Specialist IV - Consumer Protection Programs. Environmental Health Specialist will receive general supervision and provide lead direction in performing various countywide environmental health inspection and enforcement activities in one of the several specialized technical areas such as consumer protection, food sanitation, recreational water, water, sewage, land use, and cross connection control; vector control; solid waste; medical waste; and housing and institutions.

There is currently one regular vacancy that will function as a Food Plan Check Specialist within the Environmental Health Division Food and Pool Programs, located in San Mateo, but the position will include travel/driving throughout the county to perform duties of the job.

Environmental Health Services ensures a safe and healthful environment in the County's 20 cities and unincorporated areas through education, monitoring and enforcement of a variety of regulatory programs, as well as ongoing services to the community.

Duties within the Consumer Protection Programs include:

The Role:

The City of Redwood City is seeking Firefighter/Engineers who are licensed paramedics. Under direction of the Fire Captain, the Firefighter/Engineer will perform firefighting and fire prevention duties aimed at protecting life and property, operate and maintain firefighting equipment, and provide basic medical assistance.  Firefighter/Engineers also provide Advanced Life Support first responder pre-hospital emergency medical care and emergency medical assistance, perform minor station maintenance, and participate in training to maintain skills.  Please see the Firefighter/Engineer job description for more details.

Required Qualifications:

Experience and Training Guidelines:
A typical way to demonstrate the applicant possesses the required knowledge and ability may be obtained through the following ways:

• Maintain an Emergency Medical Technician Certification or Paramedic License as required by the State of California.

Special Requirements - Essential duties require the following physical abilities and work environment:

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age;
• Vision Standards: Must pass a pre-employment medical exam according to the standards set by The National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) and freedom from color blindness;
• Hearing Standards: Must pass a pre-employment medical exam according to NFPA;
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, squat, stoop, reach, crawl, twist, climb, lift and carry in excess of 100 lbs.; pull and/or drag 175 lbs.; work in the following environments: cold, extreme heat, extreme noise, outdoors, confining work spaces, elevated areas; work with electrical hazards, vibration, chemicals, dust, toxic waste, mechanical hazards, and explosive materials; availability for shift work.
• This position shall serve a probationary period of eighteen (18) months.

As a condition of employment, employees shall comply with mandated medical monitoring.

THE POSITION

To monitor City facilities during programs and rentals; to open and close facilities; to set up and take down equipment; to provide information and assistance to the public in person and on the phone; to perform general administrative tasks when assigned; to perform certain custodial duties; to ensure user compliance with policies, regulations, and laws pertaining to facility use; and to perform other duties as assigned. The purpose of this recruitment is to fill current temporary/part-time positions.

Temporary / Part-Time employees work no more than 130 hours per month

AND 960 hours per fiscal year.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The following are typical illustrations of duties encompassed by the job class, not an all-inclusive or limiting list:

Follow established facility use guidelines, policies, and procedures.  Open and close facilities.  Meet, greet, and monitor facility users.  Act as liaison between facility users and City staff.  Patrol facilities as needed.  Perform facility check-in and check-out as needed.  Provide information and assistance in person and over the phone.  Check availability of facilities upon request by customers.  Assist patrons with enrolling in City recreation programs.  Ensuring users are in compliance with facility rules.  Assist maintenance staff with room setups.  Perform certain custodial duties.  Maintain reports as necessary, like incident reports or vandalism reports.  Use Microsoft Office tools for communication and assignments.  Provide nightly feedback to Supervisor of facility activity.  Perform related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Age Requirement:  At least 18 years of age

Education:  Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent

Experience:  At least one (1) year of experience in resource management, parks & recreation, or other relevant customer service positions.

License and Certificates:  Possession of a valid California Driver's License is required upon hire.

SALARY

$19.25 - $20.25 per hour (based on years of experience)

BENEFITS

All of these positions are temporary/part time. Temporary employees work no more than 130 hours per month AND 960 hours in a Fiscal Year.

The pay cycle is bi-weekly.  Except for worker's compensation coverage and sick leave accrual, no other benefits are provided. Employees must contribute 1.45% of salary to Medicare and 7.5% to a retirement plan in accordance with Federal Law.
