The City of Berkeley is seeking a Housing Development Specialist (Community Development Project Coordinator)! In this role you will have the opportunity to be part of the team responsible for implementing the City’s Housing Trust Fund and Small Sites Programs. This position will work on renovations and new construction projects, the latter of which will include developments at the North Berkeley and Ashby BART sites. You'll work closely with nonprofit developers to underwrite project proposals, recommend funding, negotiate loan and regulatory agreements, and monitor project progress.

*Effective July 2024, this position will receive a 2.5% base salary increase.

This position has a wide breadth of responsibility and is the backbone for ensuring the City’s technology systems always stay up and running. An example of duties are:
