DEFINITION
Under the direction of the Director of Engineering, this position provides engineering support to NCPA’s Power Generation Service department. The Power Generation Service Department includes the “State of the Art” Lodi Energy Center (LEC) Combined Cycle Power Plant, our green Geothermal Power Plant, our Hydroelectric Power Plant, and includes our hydrogen fuel source with a mission to provide green and renewable energy to our 16-member agencies in Northern California.
This position is based out of Roseville, CA. Roseville’s nearby recreation areas attract new residents who are looking for a great place to live and work! Roseville is located in Placer County, just 16 miles northeast of Sacramento, the state capital. Within one hour, you can enjoy water sports in nearby lakes and rivers, hike the beautiful Sierra foothills and ski the High Sierra. Situated between San Francisco and Lake Tahoe, our location offers the best of Northern California!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Manage and assist with power plant improvement projects, performance monitoring, and other initiatives. Conduct feasibility analysis, and justification, and prepare plans, and budgets.
Lead or assist with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to investigate incidents that cause “forced outages”, equipment malfunctions, failures, or performance degradation at plants.
Provide administrative and end-user support for NCPA’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Plant Information (PI Historian). Ensure that users are properly trained and the application is used in an optimal fashion.
Support compliance with NERC/WECC reliability standards. Assist in the preparation, review, collection, and organization of compliance evidence and associated procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education
For all levels, the qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited college or university with a focus on Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
