San Mateo County Health's Aging and Adult Services Division is seeking qualified individuals for the position of In-Home Supportive Services Social Worker II/III. Social Workers provide a wide variety of welfare services in such areas as information and referral, protective services, out-of-home services, health related services, chore services, and other welfare services within the Health and the Human Services Agency.
 
The current vacancy is in the In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) Program that provides in-home care for persons who cannot safely remain in their own home without such assistance. The recipients of IHSS are aged, blind and/or disabled and eligible for Medi-Cal. Disabled and/or blind minor children may also be eligible for IHSS. The Social Worker will make a home visit to determine eligibility for the program and to conduct an assessment to determine a range of service hours for particular tasks. The IHSS recipient or guardian is the IHSS employer and is responsible for hiring and supervising a provider for the care they receive.  The Social Worker will travel throughout the County to conduct home visits, attend meetings and perform other duties of the position.  The Social Worker will work in the San Mateo, CA Aging and Adult Services Office.
 
This IHSS Social Worker will conduct intake and/or on-going activities for IHSS recipients. Some of those activities include:
 

• Conduct initial IHSS assessments using a detailed State assessment tool.
• Complete necessary documents, paperwork, and work within different information technology systems.
• Conduct annual reassessments.
• Educate, support, and perform administrative duties for IHSS recipients and care providers to understand/comply with program regulations.
• Provide education, outreach, and community resources information.
• Participate in quality improvement efforts.
• Collaborate with quality assurance and program integrity to ensure proper adherence to regulations.
• Prepare for and attend Fair Hearings.
• Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings or other activities to support San Mateo County's vision for integrated services.
• Maintain oversight of case management needs for a caseload focused on serving IHSS recipients who are minors.
• Collaborate and facilitate service with care providers and other partner agencies.

 The ideal candidate will possess the following:
 

• Master's degree in Social Work.
• Experience providing clinical assessment for children, youth and adults with disabilities. 
• Understanding of human development and behavior within diverse populations.
• Ability to independently develop and implement sound case plans of action.
• Experience balancing client-centered care coordination and the accompanying administrative documentation.
• Familiarity in implementing program regulations.
• Superior organizational skills to manage a large caseload and related documents.
• Proficient computer skills to use several independent data base systems as well as Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to quickly learn and adopt new technology, policies and procedures.
• Excellent writing/documentation skills.
• Fluency in Cantonese, Mandarin, Tagalog, Vietnamese or Farsi is a plus.

SALARY
Social Worker II:   $6,564.13 - $8,205.60/month
Social Worker III:  $7,741.07 - $9,673.73/month

Social Workers provide highly skilled, intensive casework services to individuals and their families and provide casework consultation within the department and to outside agencies.  Incumbents of positions at this level work with minimal supervision and are expected to have acquired the high degree of assessment skills required to perform care coordination and referral tasks in complex casework areas. Lead supervisory responsibilities may be assigned as circumstances dictate.

NOTE:  The list created from this recruitment may be used to fill future vacancies, including classified, unclassified, term, full-time, part-time, temporary and extra help vacancies. Qualifications

Licensure/Certification:  California class C driver license or equivalent.

Education:
Social Worker II: Satisfactory completion of 30 semester units of social welfare and/or appropriate behavioral science courses.

Social Worker III: Satisfactory completion of 36 semester units of social welfare and/or appropriate behavioral science courses.

Experience: 
Social Worker II: Two years experience performing duties comparable to those of a Social Worker I or higher in San Mateo County. Substitution: Possession of a Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited school of Social Work.

Social Worker III:  Three years experience performing duties comparable to those of a Social Worker II or higher in San Mateo County.  Substitution: Possession of a Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited school of Social Work and two years experience performing duties comparable to those of a Social Worker II or higher in San Mateo County.

Responsibilities:

Leaders in IT all play a key role in working across organization boundaries to deliver superior IT services while shaping to emerging demands. Working under the CIO and Assistant CIO, the Deputy CIO is a member of the IT Executive Staff and must demonstrate how to be an equal and trusted part of the leadership team. San Jose leaders are “working executives” with high expectations for personal work output. 

Reporting through the City CIO and Assistant CIO, the Deputy CIO oversees a team of ~30 contributors and a Citywide portfolio supporting ~7,000 employees and volunteers. Key metrics for DCIO center on customer satisfaction, reliability, performance, and project-value success. 

A short snapshot of the Business Solutions DCIO’s portfolio includes over 140 primary business applications, including a technical environment that spans Oracle (PeopleSoft/Taleo/Hyperion), Cayenta, SimpliGov, Microsoft O365/SharePoint/OneDrive/MSSQL), multiple cloud providers, enterprise reporting and data visualization solutions, and specialized applications in revenue, treasury, utilities billing, et al. 

Specific responsibilities include:

1. Direct and lead multiple teams by establishing division goals and performance standards, conducting regular evaluations of the staff members' performance, and coaching staff members on performance and career development consistent with the departmental mission and expectations. 
2. Proactively monitor technology solutions and plan for system roadmaps that will benefit the City's ability to provide services in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
3. Manage and develop the skills and competency of the Information Technology Department staff based on current needs as well as emerging technologies or business strategies needed to support all work initiatives.

The City of San José Information Technology Department (ITD) seeks an exceptional senior manager to lead the City Portfolio-Products-Projects Office (C3PO) as Division Manager. 

The Portfolio-Products-Projects Office is a six year-old division in the City. Deconstructing traditional project management, San Jose’s C3PO is responsible for (1) executing technology and innovation initiatives with success; (2) ensuring strong business value from City products and platforms over time; and (3) building organizational capacities for the City to consistently transform and improve. 

The C3PO Division Manager will inspire team members and nurture a culture that is truly collaborative and customer-centric towards these ends. The Revenue Accountant position is part of the General Ledger and Financial Reporting unit within the Finance Section. The General Ledger and Financial Reporting unit maintains financial integrity over the general ledger accounts, oversees toll revenue from the seven state-owned toll bridges and from the express lanes, prepares the Annual Comprehensive Financial Reports (ACFR) and other stand-alone financial statements, and works closely with the auditors for the annual audits.

Under the supervision of the Toll Revenue Supervisor, this position prepares toll revenues from the seven state-owned toll bridges and from the express lanes. This process includes preparing daily toll revenue entries and monthly toll revenue and traffic reports; reviewing trial balance from the Regional Customer Service Center to record into BATA financial statements; researching and investigating variances; recording and analyzing the data; working with the Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) unit, Electronic Payment department and other areas to ensure the accuracy of toll revenue accounting; reviewing and reconciling the general ledger accounts; and performing other job-related tasks or assignments as required.

Experience: Three years of increasingly complex professional accounting and auditing experience, with demonstrated proficiency in overseeing at least one major accounting program area; including the equivalent of two years as an Accountant/Auditor I for MTC.

License/Certificate: 
Possession of a valid California Class C driver's license and a safe driving record, or the ability to provide alternate transportation which is approved by the appointing authority.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the supervision of the Toll Revenue Supervisor, the Revenue Accountant will prepare the toll revenues from the seven state-owned toll bridges and from the express lanes.  This process includes, but is not limited to, the following:

• Prepare daily toll revenue entries.
• Prepare monthly express lanes and other revenue entries.
• Prepare monthly toll revenue and traffic reports by bridges. Coordinate the overall toll revenue reporting.
• Reconcile and identify toll revenue variances and investigate the reasons for the differences.
• Summarize the individual bridge reports into the monthly consolidated toll revenue report.
• Perform complex monthly reconciliation of revenues by bridge and adjust as appropriate.
• Perform monthly reconciliation between General Ledger and service center trial balance and various reports.
• Analyze, classify, and determine proper accounting treatment of toll transactions. Allocate and segregate toll revenue by programs. Coordinate and record financial entries into the financial system in accordance with accounting principles.
• Perform analysis and management studies of accounting requirements and participate in the decision-making process to resolve financial issues.
• Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with ETC revenue section, Electronic Payment department and other areas to ensure the accuracy of toll revenue accounting.
• Assist in other monthly financial close activities, year end close, and with the annual audits.
• Prepare year-end schedules for audit and provide documentation for auditors as necessary.
• Assist in the preparation of Accounting Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR).
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Section.

HYBRID WORK - Employees may need to be in the office for some assignments/tasks that can only be done onsite or at a designated MTC work assignment location. The individual in this position will be required to come into the office as needed.

The City of San Jose is seeking an Enterprise Client Services Manager (Enterprise Supervising Technology Analyst) for the Information Technology Department (ITD). 

The Information Technology Department houses a team of customer-centric technicians and engineers to support the use of technology by City employees and the public. As the Enterprise Client Services Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for overseeing and managing that team of engineers and technicians ensuring excellent endpoint management services and day-to-day customer support services. 

The City of San José believes in the model of utilizing technology as a means for increased optimization as well as cost savings. With significant technology refresh and upgrade, there is a greater need for highly skilled technical hands-on leadership, oversight, and project management. 

This position requires strong technical hands-on experience and leadership skills as well as the ability to take initiative and direct others. We are seeking an individual with a willingness to adapt to an ever-changing business as well as an ever-changing technical environment. The ideal candidate must take full ownership of managing all endpoint services and operations and successfully lead projects to completion. This position demands a proven ability to resolve complex technical issues with limited resources. Most importantly, a team leader, team player, and positive attitude are essential to this position.

Key duties may include but are not limited to:

• Managing a Tier-1 helpdesk team to provide excellent customer service requested via online tickets, phone, and walkups.  
• Providing endpoint services management for UCaaS/VoIP, PCs (Windows 10/11 OS), conference rooms, Zoom, etc.
• Designing and overseeing implementation for newly introduced client service project initiatives and ensuring operationalization transitions to the IT Tier-1 support.
• Managing the ticket queues ensuring quality service and promoting fast turnaround time.
• Maintaining and improving the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) based operational standards and services.  
• Overseeing customer hardware/software quoting and purchasing operations.
• Monitoring and providing analysis of reports and metrics to management and customers as needed.
• Coordinating and managing key third-party vendor relationships.
• Creating and managing training and development plans for direct reports. 
• Tracking maintenance renewals and subscriptions for users-owned services, hardware, and/or applications.
• Managing escalations and/or complaints and utilizing best judgment and discretion to resolve them.
• Improving customer service quality results by conducting surveys; evaluating and re-designing processes; establishing and communicating service metrics; and, monitoring and analyzing results.
• Improving productivity, quality, and customer-service standard based on customer services metrics. 

Please note that the Enterprise Client Services Manager (Enterprise Supervising Technology Analyst) position is currently eligible for a hybrid telework schedule - working remote and onsite schedule is subject to change.

• Strong knowledge and understanding of the ITIL Standard. 
• Experience managing IT Tier-1 support team. 
• Demonstrates customer service skills to address any customer concerns or escalations.
• Experience creating and updating technical documentation.
• Experience managing processes and process improvements for Tier-1 operations and client services support.
