This is a Temporary Provisional position.
A provisional appointee must participate and be successful in a Civil Service Examination process for this classification and be selected through an open competitive process in order to be considered for a permanent appointment.
The Department
The Public Works Department plays a key role in shaping the community and its future as Fremont. Public Works is responsible for engineering, transportation, civic facilities, inspections, and maintenance for the City. The Engineering Division within Public Works helps deliver land development projects, executes the design and construction of public projects, and maintains and enhances the City’s transportation network.
