This position is a field-based, bilingual position in which the candidate must be comfortable working with individuals with moderate to severe behavioral health issues and crises. This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:
Under direct supervision of the Program Coordinator, the Substance Abuse Intervention Specialist will perform individual and group intervention for adolescents with drug and alcohol abuse problems. This City of Fremont Youth and Family Services position is supported by a grant from Alameda County Behavioral Health Care Services. This is a temporary, 40 hours per week assignment. Current funding allows for a 1 year assignment. There is potential for longer term employment dependent on continued funding.
