We are looking for a person that leads and coordinates the preparation of the affiliate annual audits and other auditor examinations; and assist the real estate team with affiliate budget preparations, plans and coordinates the accounting process for affiliate properties that provide affordable housing; reviews, evaluates work methods, procedures, provides technical support to real estate teams and property management accountants, and enforces policies and procedures, analyzes and reviews financial reports and much more.

What YOU have to offer us:

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in finance/accounting; and three (3) years of increasingly responsible professional experience in financial accounting experience, management, budget, financial analysis or a related field. At least one (1) year experience working as a technical or functional lead is highly desirable. Ideal candidates will provide administrative, budgetary, and workflow support to the Finance Department and agency staff, analyzes programmatic practices and procedures for organizational, operational, policy, and procedural improvements; conducts needs analyses, provide agency-wide payroll monitoring and support and other related tasks. How You Will Make an Impact:

The Santa Clara County Housing Authority (SCCHA) is seeking a Project Coordinator to support the agency's affordable housing initiatives and asset management goals. The Coordinator handles a mix of technical and administrative tasks, including responding to inquiries, researching and compiling information, and managing specialized reporting projects. Additionally, the role involves tracking and reconciling financial, operational, and statistical records. The Coordinator also provides confidential support to management, staff, and various boards. This position assists with onboarding new hires and manages office arrangements for team members. It's a dynamic and flexible position requiring a mix of organizational skills and attention to detail.

What Our Team Is Looking For: 

Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience likely to provide the required core competencies may be considered. A typical combination that is qualifying may include: 

• An associate's degree and two years of experience providing administrative support in the community development, real estate, affordable housing, finance, public or business administration or related field. 
• Certification as a California Notary Public is desirable.

Possession of a valid California Driver's License and satisfactory driving record at the time of appointment is required as a condition of initial and continued employment only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than the employee's ability to get to/from various work locations in a timely manner, is necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.

How You Will Make an Impact:

We are looking for a dynamic individual who will be a part of the real estate department and help us develop a pipeline of over 20 projects and =1500 units of affordable housing. We are looking for creative problem-solving team players, who enjoy the challenge of a variety of projects ranging from new construction multi-family housing to the renovation and rehabilitation of existing structures to the repurposing of commercial properties and master planning for affordable housing.

Best qualified candidates, depending on level (Assistant, Staff, Senior), will have a Bachelors Degree and between at least one (1) to three (3) years of previous experience developing affordable housing using Federal and State funding sources, pro formas and financial model analysis, and reviewing and negotiating real estate development transactional documents. Strong problem-solving and effective communication skills to work with all cross-functional partners through the project.

VTA’s Engineering and Program Delivery (EPD) Division is seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer for the Quality Assurance (QA) Group under the Technical Services Department.  

Quality Assurance Group: 
The QA Group supports all capital improvement programs for the Division during planning, design, procurement, construction and closeout phases of highway, rail, transit and facilities projects.  As a Senior Transportation Engineer, you will play an important role in ensuring delivery of quality products and services for the Division. It is the responsibility of the QA Group to ensure the development of each project’s Contract-specific Quality Management Plan (CQMP) and to conduct audits and surveillances, based on the approved CQMPs, to monitor and assure effective implementation. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with VTA staff, consultants and contractors, attention to detail and ability to lead the QA team with day-to-day activities are desirable skill sets.

Under direction, to have charge of varied and difficult engineering work involving the supervision of a professional transportation engineering staff engaged in a variety of activities, such as the planning and design of transportation systems and facilities, the operation of transit systems, special studies or services, and other transportation projects.

Essential Job Functions:

Typical Tasks

• Supervises and directs projects in connection with the planning, design, construction, maintenance and operation of transportation systems including fixed guideways, highway transit, bicycle, airport, and other facilities;
• Supervises the design function, structural analyses and field surveys;
• Makes traffic engineering studies;
• Conducts transit planning and supervises the scheduling of transit operations;
• Supervises the preparation specifications and related documents used in advertising transportation projects for bids;
• Coordinates technical information exchanges with officials of other governmental jurisdictions, other transportation specialists and the public;
• Coordinates with utilities and land and water companies in matters of relocation and rights-of-ways;
• Coordinates legal assistance in the preparation of resolutions, agreements and other legal documents;
• Conducts special studies, and performs related work as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Employment Standards
Training and experience equivalent to graduation from college with major work in engineering and five years professional engineering experience on transportation systems or projects, including assignments which provided the opportunity to demonstrate supervisory abilities.

Registration as a professional engineer in the State of California in a field related to transportation engineering at the time of appointment.
