How You Will Make an Impact:

The Santa Clara County Housing Authority (SCCHA) is seeking a Project Coordinator to support the agency's affordable housing initiatives and asset management goals. The Coordinator handles a mix of technical and administrative tasks, including responding to inquiries, researching and compiling information, and managing specialized reporting projects. Additionally, the role involves tracking and reconciling financial, operational, and statistical records. The Coordinator also provides confidential support to management, staff, and various boards. This position assists with onboarding new hires and manages office arrangements for team members. It's a dynamic and flexible position requiring a mix of organizational skills and attention to detail.

What Our Team Is Looking For: 

Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience likely to provide the required core competencies may be considered. A typical combination that is qualifying may include: 

• An associate's degree and two years of experience providing administrative support in the community development, real estate, affordable housing, finance, public or business administration or related field. 
• Certification as a California Notary Public is desirable.

Possession of a valid California Driver's License and satisfactory driving record at the time of appointment is required as a condition of initial and continued employment only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than the employee's ability to get to/from various work locations in a timely manner, is necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.

The Santa Clara County Housing Authority (SCCHA) is the county’s largest provider of affordable housing, helping make rental housing safe and affordable for approximately 43,000 low-income residents.

SCCHA’s Real Estate Development Division is a mission-oriented, dynamic, and collaborative team, working closely together to creatively develop new affordable housing as well as preserve existing assets in service of the tenants and communities we serve. By embedding the innovative spirit of the Silicon Valley into our agency’s culture, we are elevating our efforts to address the affordable housing shortage in Santa Clara County. We prioritize housing developments for extremely low-income individuals and families that embrace residents’ lived experiences. How You Will Make an Impact:

We are looking for a dynamic individual who will be a part of the real estate department and help us develop a pipeline of over 20 projects and =1500 units of affordable housing. We are looking for creative problem-solving team players, who enjoy the challenge of a variety of projects ranging from new construction multi-family housing to the renovation and rehabilitation of existing structures to the repurposing of commercial properties and master planning for affordable housing.

Best qualified candidates, depending on level (Assistant, Staff, Senior), will have a Bachelors Degree and between at least one (1) to three (3) years of previous experience developing affordable housing using Federal and State funding sources, pro formas and financial model analysis, and reviewing and negotiating real estate development transactional documents. Strong problem-solving and effective communication skills to work with all cross-functional partners through the project.

The General Maintenance Worker plays a vital role in keeping our communities and centers clean, safe, and visually appealing. This position focuses on a specific set of tasks tailored to meet the needs of the Recreation & Community Services Department, differing from the broader responsibilities of a full General Maintenance Worker under the Public Works Department. The Recreation Coordinator or Recreation and Community Services Supervisor is the key point of contact for this position, providing general direction and/or supervision.

1. Field Preparation: Assist with basic field preparation for baseball and softball, including tasks like dragging the infield play area, marking chalk lines, and other essential setup activities.
    
2. Groundskeeping: Support keeping the exterior areas of community centers clean and presentable by removing trash and maintaining general tidiness. Assist with watering and care of indoor plants within recreation centers as needed.
    
3. Facility Cleaning: Perform light janitorial duties, including cleaning restrooms, fitness centers, and lobbies.
    
4. Events & Equipment Support: Assist with event setup and teardown once events are completed. Maintain special event equipment, furniture and supplies and promptly report any damaged or broken items to a supervisor for replacement.

The Newark Recreation and Community Services Department is seeking enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about working with the public and have a genuine interest in coaching and serving as positive role models in their community. This role involves teaching the fundamentals of various sports, as well as coaching, refereeing, and scorekeeping for both youth and adult sports programs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Coach and referee youth & adult sports programs to maintain standards of play and ensure the safety of all participants.

• Teach and explain the rules and regulations of basketball, volleyball, baseball, etc.

The Housing Authority of the City of Alameda (AHA) is seeking an exceptional, process-orientated professional to serve as the Procurement and Administrative Services Manager. This is a fast-paced agency that seeks to meet the mission through a high level of accountability and transparency.

AHA is particularly interested in applications from candidates with procurement and contract administration experience in the government sector as well as a wide range of analytical and management skills, who can develop and implement policies and procedures for a variety of projects and programs within assigned departments, including budget administration, management analysis, technical support, and program evaluation. AHA is particularly interested in applications from candidates with a strong track record in a variety of administrative, coordinative, analytical, and liaison capacities relevant to the job responsibilities. Successful performance of the work requires knowledge of public policy, housing policy and programs, Housing Authority functions and activities, and the ability to develop, oversee, and implement projects and programs in a variety of areas. The successful candidate will also be team-oriented with the ability to coordinate and collaborate with a variety of internal stakeholders to move activities and projects forward.

Due to the diverse and public facing nature of the responsibilities in this department, candidates must have excellent planning, tracking and project management skills and be customer-oriented in their approach. Significant relevant supervisory experience is required. The department is currently budgeted for 10 staff.

The Director level position will report to Executive Director or other Director. The Director of Administration and Services provides assistance to the Executive Director and the Authority in a variety of regulatory, analytical, and supervisory capacities.

*Note: Candidates may also be considered at the Assistant Director of Administration and Services level, depending on experience and qualification. Only candidates with significant, relevant experience and supervision experience will be considered for the Director of Administration and Services level.
