The City of Stockton is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Analyst to join our Information Technology team, with a focus on enterprise applications. This role requires a deep understanding of enterprise application architecture, data integration, and IT best practices.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing and being fluent in the latest technologies, various AI tools, Power BI, Databricks, Azure, Copilot Studio -Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Amazon Web Services (AWS), to name a few, with experience in the implementation and optimization of enterprise-grade IT systems.

The Senior Systems Analyst will collaborate closely with developers, City department SME, and IT leadership to ensure our systems support strategic objectives, enhance operational efficiency, and adapt to evolving technological needs. This role involves analyzing and improving computer systems, coordinating with vendors and technical teams, and ensuring seamless integration across platforms. Responsibilities include troubleshooting complex hardware and software issues, enforcing server security policies, optimizing system performance, and maintaining clear communication with user departments. The ideal candidate will have experience in systems analysis, implementation, and documentation, along with a strong understanding of interdepartmental IT needs in a dynamic government environment.

Education/Experience:
Pattern I:
Possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or a closely related field and four (4) years of work experience at a level equivalent to the City’s class of Systems Analyst II.
OR
Pattern II:
Possession of an Associate of Arts degree or completion of sixty semester units or equivalent quarter hours from an accredited college or university with major course work in pre-engineering, mathematics, computer science. or a closely related field and six (6) years of experience in systems operation or administration, which has included four years at a level equivalent to the City’s class of Systems Analyst II.

Pattern III:
Possession of a high school diploma or GED and eight (8) years of experience in systems operation or administration, which has included four years at a level equivalent to the City’s class of Systems Analyst II.

This is a journey-level classification encompassing specialized technical and administrative support within the Police Department. Incumbents are responsible for the comprehensive maintenance of departmental databases, preparation and assembly of detailed reports, support of recruitment processes, contribution to departmental planning initiatives, and provision of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) expertise. What You’ll Do

The Senior Program Assistant performs a variety of complex clerical and technical functions in support of programs at the assigned facility.  Depending upon assignment, duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Coordinate a variety of tasks associated with the delivery of services under programs at the assigned facility.
• Coordinate facility booking, scheduling and rental processes.
• Assist in providing for the safety, maintenance and security of program participants, staff, equipment and facilities.
• Act as liaison with program and managerial staff, community groups and program participants.
• Directly participate in, and monitor the work of staff assigned to, the program registration process.
• Process transactions in support of department programs which entail: substantial interaction with interested parties; knowledge of procedures and policies; and the accounting for payables and monies received.
• Provide information and assistance regarding department programs, policies and procedures to the general public, City personnel, vendors and contractors.
• Process forms, invoices and other documents in accordance with established procedures; and check for accuracy and completeness of entries, and for compliance with applicable City, statutory and other requirements.
• Compute and receive fees in accordance with department schedules and procedures, record revenue received and provide for the deposit of monies.
• May provide lead direction to other support staff.
• Enter data and information in the preparation of reports, correspondence, forms and other documents.
• Perform a variety of general clerical duties, including: filing; billing; recording information in office records; photocopying; processing of mail; and answering telephones.

The County of San Mateo's Department of Public Works is seeking applications for the position of Electrician. 

 

Electricians are responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in and around County buildings. This position requires the ability to work independently in different locations with minimal supervision. While much of the work is performed independently, the Construction Services section is characterized by a strong sense of teamwork and camaraderie.

Construction Services Section
Construction Services offers specialized crafts services that go beyond routine maintenance provided by the Facilities Operations and Maintenance section. We partner with the County and Cities to deliver carpentry, graffiti abatement, and lighting district services. Our skilled team, including craftsmen, maintenance workers, utility workers, and office support staff, handles diverse tasks from remodels to new construction projects. The ideal candidate for this position will have:

• Eight or more years of experience performing Journey-level facilities maintenance electrical work.
• A Journeyman's Electrician Card (certificate).

Electricians work at various locations throughout San Mateo County (County Facilities/Buildings, San Mateo Medical Center, Hall of Justice, Maguire Correctional Facility, Maple Street Correctional Center, Youth Services Center, and multiple Community Resource Centers within the county).

The selected candidate for this job must undergo a thorough background check by the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office and fill out a comprehensive security clearance form. They must maintain their security clearance throughout their employment and be cleared to work in locked facilities that house incarcerated individuals.

• Estimating, constructing, installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical services, requiring journey-level skills.

Licensure/Certification:

The Recreation Leader I classification is the entry-level position in the Recreation Leader Series. Receives supervision from a Recreation Department staff member; may work under functional supervision of a Recreation Leader II or Program Coordinator as assigned.

Work schedule: Monday-Friday shifts ranging from 3:00pm – 6:00pm, Wednesday 1:00pm – 6:00pm, Saturday-Sunday 8:00am – 1:00pm. Schedule may change as needed.

Essential Duties

As a Recreation Leader for San Carlos Parks and Recreation you will:

The Environmental Health Services Division of San Mateo County Health is seeking a well-qualified candidate for the position of Environmental Health Program Supervisor – Hazardous Materials Program.

The Position

Working under general supervision, the successful candidate will supervise, direct, organize, manage, evaluate, audit, and provide accountability for one or more Environmental Health programs in areas encompassing hazardous materials/hazardous waste and environmental health program outreach for pollution prevention, public health protection, and environmental health operations.

The current vacancy supervises staff in the Environmental Health Services Division's hazardous materials/hazardous waste areas and Pollution Prevention programs. This position is located in San Mateo, but will require some travel/driving throughout the county to perform the duties of the job.

The Hazardous Materials Program Supervisor will work in the Certified Unified Program Agencies (CUPA) program and additionally oversee the Pollution Prevention Program. In addition to supervising Pollution Prevention Program work, this position will supervise CUPA regulatory programs, including the Hazardous Materials Business Plan Program, Hazardous Waste Generator (HWG) Program, California Accidental Release Prevention Program, Hazardous Materials Program Fees, Underground Storage Tanks (UST) Program, and Above Ground Petroleum Storage Tank Program.

Key responsibilities include providing subject matter expertise on the Hazardous Waste Generator program and supervising a team of nine specialists across multiple programs. Additionally, the supervisor will also serve in a leadership capacity with the District Attorney's office, political leaders, and county management, and will ensure compliance with all inspection and reporting requirements. Additionally, the incumbent will provide programmatic supervision around website management, messaging, and outreach services for grant work and to other programs within the Division, and ensure messaging and branding alignment with County Health.

Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will bring enthusiasm and a strong commitment to public service. More specifically, the ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• Proficient in all CUPA regulatory program areas and possess a valid ICC (International Code Council) certification as an underground tank inspector.
• Knowledgeable of the division's enforcement options, such as the Hazardous Materials Administrative Enforcement Orders (AEO) and the District Attorney referral processes.
• Experienced with at least four years of journey level experience in hazardous materials management in the areas of storage, transportation, handling and disposal of hazardous materials and/or hazardous waste; underground tank construction, monitoring and removal; or underground tank site remediation.
• Knowledgeable of hazardous materials management, including its scientific background, technology, principles, methods, investigative techniques and problems; laws, regulations and codes governing hazardous materials; emergency response procedures and protocols; government agencies, community organizations and business establishments as they relate to environmental health and hazardous materials management; basic practices in the transportation and disposal of hazardous wastes.
• Knowledgeable of contract and grant monitoring and expenditures, grant applications, RFP processes.
• Approachable and politically astute with a supervisory style that quickly fosters trust, loyalty, respect and commitment from employees.
• An experienced hazardous materials management professional with a thorough understanding of the full range of issues, practices and regulations related to the CUPA programs.
• An innovative leader who has collaborated with other agencies with positive outcomes that benefited public health and public education.
• Technologically savvy and knowledgeable of electronic field inspection systems and other computer-based technologies utilized by regulatory agencies.
• Highly focused and organized, capable of establishing and implementing program budgets.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced regulatory environment.
• An excellent problem-solver with superior oral and written communication skills.
• Enthusiastic for and dedicated to public service.
• Possess of a four- year degree from an accredited university and any combination of graduate-level education and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities, demonstrating an increasing level of responsibility is desirable.
• Possession of a California certificate as a Registered Environmental Health Specialist (REHS) is preferred, but not required.

In addition, the ideal candidate will have four years of progressively responsible experience in an environmental health field, such as hazardous materials management, infectious waste, or food sanitation, including at least two years of experience with a regulatory agency.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

This position requires a valid International Code Council (ICC) certification as an underground tank inspector. If you do not have the ICC certification, you will be required to acquire it within six months of being hired. The California Code of Regulations (CCR) requires local agency inspectors conducting underground storage tank (UST) inspections to have a current inspector certificate from the International Code Council (ICC).
