• Conducts skills gap assessments.  Develops a comprehensive training curriculum for all mechanic classifications, including Utility Workers, and reviews and updates as needed based on current technologies.
• Stays current with new technologies as they pertain to District fleets.

• Develops and implements training programs for newly hired employees.

SUPERVISION: Works under the general supervision of the Deputy Director, Bus Maintenance who establishes goals and objectives and evaluates performance.

Position Summary

 

Under general supervision, operates a variety of transit vehicles to transport passengers along specific, assigned routes according to the District's requirements.  Provide service in a safe, courteous and reliable manner.   Responsible for written reports and other information as required.  Upon completion of the Golden Gate Transit Training Program, the employee operates regularly scheduled assignments.  All runs will originate in either Santa Rosa, Novato or San Rafael.

The City of San Mateo Parks & Recreation Department is looking for enthusiastic, crafty,
creative, and energetic individuals to join our summer camp team!

About this role
Do you love to have fun? We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic individuals to join our team! As a part of the camp team, staff will enjoy the challenges, triumphs, opportunities, responsibilities, laughs, rewards, and fun that make up each energizing and unique day at camp! This is a part-time, non-benefited position, 30-40 hours per week and limited to 960 hours in a fiscal year (July-June). Must be available from June 12th - August 10th

What You’ll Do

• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities for elementary school children or teens.
• Supervise children on off campus field trips.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Interact with parents, children, and staff daily.

Recreation Specialist III (ages 18 & up with experience/education):
In addition to the above duties, ability to work independently in developing specific activities and activity design. Ability to train and direct the work of other lower-level Recreation Specialists. Consistently exhibits good judgement and safety skills.
