Under direction, the Traffic Control Special Events position directs motorists and controls traffic conditions at special events held in the City of Santa Clara.

The Department:
The Newark Recreation and Community Services Department is seeking enthusiastic individuals who are not only passionate about working with the public but also possess a genuine interest in coaching kids and making a positive impact as role models in their lives. This role involves teaching fundamentals of various sports, coaching, refereeing and scorekeeping for our youth leagues. In addition, this role also oversees our Wednesday adult basketball league.
The City of Newark is seeking energetic, organized, and responsible individuals who enjoy working with school-age children. Recreation Leaders will assist in the implementation and planning of a wide variety of arts and crafts, sports, games, special events, and excursions. Candidates will work either for the Ash Street Summer program at Ash Street Park or Camp Newark at the Silliman Center. Both positions require candidates to work in an outdoor environment.
