THE POSITION

Tri-City is looking to fill a vacancy for Psychiatric Technician I/II/III for the Adult Full-Service Partnership (FSP) Program.  The Psychiatric Technician I/II/III will appeal to individuals who are inspired by challenges and opportunities presented in working with an engaged and active community by providing all manner of adjunctive medication support services.  The Psychiatric Technician I/II/III will report to the Medication Support Team Supervisor and the Crisis & Medication Support Manager and work a 5/40 schedule (Monday – Friday).

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• In collaboration with the Agency’s Psychiatrists, will provide all medication support services including injections, monitoring, non-prescription medication, etc.;

 

• Assist in admitting clients to department services; provide direct and indirect care including taking and recording measures of the client’s physical condition such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration;

 

• Observe, evaluate, record, and report to professional staff changes in client’s condition;

 

• Implement de-escalation procedures and techniques and aid or restrain clients to prevent injury to themselves or others through verbal or physical intervention. 

 

• If LPS-qualified, work with local agencies on client hospitalization when indicated.

 

• Comply with state regulations and code of ethics governing psychiatric technicians, as well as all applicable federal, State, and local laws pertaining to medical records and documentation including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and The Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act, Public Law 111-005 (“HITECH Act”).

 

• Provide services related to the safe and appropriate administration of medical treatment (including medications) as prescribed by the psychiatrist.

 

• Perform routine and emergency in-take evaluation according to agency procedure; and other duties as assigned, etc.

THE POSITION

Tri-City is looking for an individual to fill the position of Psychiatric Technician I/II/III whom will provide medication support services both in the field and at the office. This particular position is located within the Children & Family Services Clinic and will report to the Medication Support Team Manager & the Medication Support Services Supervisor. This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Responsible for documentation per Electronic Health Record on a daily basis for services rendered;

 

• Provide direct and indirect care including taking and recording measures of the client’s physical condition such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration;

 

• Observe, evaluate, record, and report to professional staff changes in client’s condition;

 

• Implement de-escalation procedures and techniques to aid or clients in crisis to help prevent injury to themselves or others through verbal intervention;

 

• Obtain LPS-designation and work clients on an interagency basis as well as local agencies for client hospitalization when indicated;

 

• Work directly with entire treatment team, adjunctively for clients who require medication monitoring per Psychiatrist disposition as well as clients in crisis; and other duties as assigned.

 

This position is responsible for performing paralegal duties in connection with the Litigation Department requiring both sound judgment and good technical skills. These duties may include, but are not limited to drafting pleadings and discovery, preparing administrative records, responding to public record act requests, summarizing records and assisting attorneys with  management of  case files.

Depending upon qualifications, the successful candidate may be hired at the Legal Analyst I or Legal Analyst II level.  The annual salary range for a Legal Analyst I is  $71,219.20 to $86,590.40 and the annual salary range for a Legal Analyst II is  $77,729.60 to $94,452.80.

In addition to the starting salary, employees in the Legal Analyst classification shall also receive an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable pay. The actual salary shall be determined by the final candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience: Equivalent to an Associate Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in computer science, information systems, business administration, or a related field, and three years of increasingly responsible experience supporting applicable information systems.  Additional relevant experience may be substituted for the desired education on a year-for-year basis for up to two years.

Possession of:   A valid California Driver’s License and a satisfactory driving record.

The Information Technology Manager plans, organizes, manages, and provides direction and oversight for all functions related to the Library’s computer network and telecommunications software and hardware infrastructure, including operating systems, enterprise applications, integrated library system (ILS), servers, etc.

Licenses and Certifications:

Definition

Receives general direction from the Library Director or a member of the senior management staff.  Exercises direct and/or general supervision over and provides training to assigned professional, paraprofessional, technical, and support staff. 

Class Characteristics

This is a management classification that manages, directs, and participates in all activities related to the Library’s computer, integrated library system (ILS), and telecommunications infrastructure; oversees, coordinates, and reviews the work of staff performing complex professional, technical, and office support related to all programs and activities of the Information Technology section; develops and administers current and long-range planning activities; manages the effective use of the Library's information technology and telecommunications resources to improve organizational productivity and customer service; oversees and participates in the administration and maintenance of the Library’s ILS (Horizon); and provides highly complex and responsible support to the Library Director in areas of expertise.  Responsibilities are defined by overall objectives and involve a high level of complexity and specialized information.  This class is differentiated from the Library Director in that the latter has oversight of all Sonoma County Library divisions, sections, programs, activities, and services.

Physical Demands

Must possess mobility to work in a standard office and library setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; hearing and speech to communicate in person, before groups, and over the telephone; the ability to operate a motor vehicle and to visit various branches and meeting sites.  This classification primarily works indoors and requires movement between work areas.  Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve materials and data using a computer keyboard or calculator and to operate standard office equipment.  Positions in this classification occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push and pull drawers open and closed to retrieve and file information.  Positions in this classification occasionally lift and carry reports, records, and materials that typically weigh less than twenty-five (25) pounds.

 

Environmental Elements

Employees work in an office environment with moderate noise levels, controlled temperature conditions, and no direct exposure to hazardous physical substances.  Employees may interact with staff and/or public and private representatives in interpreting and enforcing departmental policies and procedures.

THE POSITION

Tri-City Mental Health Authority (“Tri-City”) is now actively recruiting for Chief Information Officer.  The Chief Information Officer will be responsible streamlining operations by implementing relevant technologies ensuring support and security, developing technological systems that will improve customer satisfaction, and managing the Information Technology Department. The Chief Information Officer is an executive management position and reports to the Executive Director.

A brief summary of additional responsibilities for this position are included, but not limited to:

 

• Select and implement suitable technology to streamline all internal operations and help optimize their strategic benefits.

 

• Analyze the costs, value and risks of information technologies to advise management and suggest actions.

 

• Collaborate with other executives and directors to measure system and resource use and allocation.

 

• Oversee the technological infrastructure (networks and computer systems) in the organization to ensure optimal performance.

 

• Closely collaborate with the Chief Compliance Officer and the Best Practices Department to ensure optimization of the Electronic Health Record platform and related workflows.

OUR AGENCY

Tri-City Mental Health Authority is a public mental health agency providing all levels of mental health services for all age ranges, age 0 to Older Adult. The Chief Information Officer is an Executive Team member responsible to oversee the IT Department consisting of 4 full-time staff servicing an agency of approximately 208 employees.

This position is responsible for performing legal secretarial duties requiring both sound judgment and good technical skills.  These duties may include, but are not limited to, transcribing, preparing, processing, and e-filing pleadings/briefs in the various state and federal courts; preparing and processing correspondence, contracts, ordinances, resolutions, City Council memoranda, and other legal documents and instruments; maintaining calendars for attorneys; answering telephones and contacting other offices to provide, obtain, and/or coordinate information and/or appearances; and performing office filing; as well as organizing and maintaining a wide variety of information and materials in support of attorneys.  The skill level of this position places strong emphasis on accuracy, quality, and attention to detail.  A strong knowledge base of legal procedures and court rules (federal and state) is desirable.  This position involves a variety of legal matters including civil litigation, workers' compensation, and all aspects of municipal law.  Incumbent must be proficient in the use of personal computers and able to work with various types of software in the Microsoft Windows environment.
