THE POSITION

Tri-City is looking for an individual to serve as a Clinical Therapist I for the Adult Outpatient Program (AOP). The Clinical Therapist I will appeal to individuals who are inspired by challenges and opportunities presented in working with an engaged and active community with moderate to severe behavioral health clients. The Clinical Therapist will report to a Clinical Supervisor.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Will initiate and conduct individual, family and group counseling/psychotherapy sessions;

• Provide crisis intervention to mentally ill/emotionally disabled individuals, groups and families;

• Provide case management services on or offsite;

• Meet with clients for regular therapeutic interviews, guide clients in understanding of their illness and contributing personal, social and economic factors;

• Assist clients in developing realistic plans and advice clients on community resources;

• Maintain records of all activities relating to clients’ care and must adhere to Agency and service billing requirements, etc.

• Work on a multidisciplinary team to promote recovery and other duties as assigned.

DEFINITION

Under general supervision, performs a variety of activities in support of recreation programs, facilities, and activities; may be assigned to work in one or more areas, including, but not limited to, summer camp programs, facility support, coaching, administrative support, and/or pre-school programs; may assist with program development; and performs related duties as assigned.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS

Recreation Leader III is the advanced journey-level classification in the Recreation Leader class series. Recreation Leader III is distinguished from Recreation Leader II in that Recreation Leader III incumbents are able to work independently and may assist with program development and training of lower-level Recreation Leaders.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED AND RECEIVED

Receives general supervision from supervisory or management staff in Recreation department. May provide training to lower-level Recreation Leader staff.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participates in planning, organizing, and leading recreation activities, which may include summer camp activities, pre-school activities, sports activities, and other events; participates in the development of activities to fit the abilities and interest of the participants;
• Follows and implements assigned curriculum, including teaching, overseeing, and/or coaching activities, which may include arts and crafts, group games, and sports; maintains group and individual discipline and code of conduct;
• Participates in program development as assigned;
• Provides training to lower-level staff as assigned;
• Facilitates safe and positive recreation experiences; ensures a safe environment; assesses and minimizes risks; assesses and responds to potential injuries and prepares incident reports;
• Keeps records related to assigned function, which may include attendance, participation, progress, etc.;
• Assists with special events, including setup and break down, staffing, etc.;
• Organizes, inventories, and maintains necessary facilities and materials;
• Provides quality customer service to all encountered during the course of work, including instructors, participants, renters, and parents/guardians; registers participants for programs and events; communicate effectively and professionally to parents/guardians of program participants;
• Opens, closes, and secures recreation facilities, as needed;
• Performs a variety of clerical support and receptionist duties;
• Operates a computer and learns and uses software in the course of business, including recreation specific software.

• May be assigned to provide transportation and supervision to program participants, including field trips and special events;
• May be assigned to perform basic money-handling and accounting tasks, such as collecting, logging, and managing payments and refunds;
• May be assigned to perform general maintenance work on facilities, including garbage removal, vacuuming, washing tables, cleaning restrooms, and other similar tasks to ensure facilities remain clean and operational;
• May be assigned to enter classes into database each season and help edit activity guide for the printers;
• May be assigned to purchase supplies for recreation programs; and
• Performs related duties as assigned.

JOB-RELATED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of: Principles and methods used in organizing, conducting, and supervising recreational activities; recreation development, organization, and planning; operation of a recreation facility; City policies and procedures; record keeping techniques; cash handling techniques; basic first aid and safety practices and procedures; customer service principles; recreation activities and services; basic event management and principals; effective leadership and standard safety rules and practices; how to deliver effective recreation services; common crafts, sports, games, and recreation activities appropriate for all ages; basic youth development principles; computer skills to include Microsoft Office; problem-solving techniques.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING GUIDELINES

Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities. A typical way would be:

Education: Equivalent to completion of the twelfth (12) grade.

Experience: Equivalent to six (6) months full-time experience (approximately 1000 hours) of volunteer or paid work experience equivalent to a Recreation Leader II with the City of Millbrae. Depending on area of assignment, previous knowledge of and experience participating in the activity and/or sport is desirable.

Licenses: Depending on area of assignment, a valid, Class C California Driver’s license may be required. Possession of or ability to obtain a first aid certificate. Possession of or ability to obtain a CPR certification. Completion of Mandated Reporter Training Certification may be required.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Vision adequate to perform assigned tasks; speak clearly; ability to bend, stoop, or crouch; physical stamina to complete assigned tasks; ability to work off-hours, shifts, or events as required; strength to lift and carry materials weighing up to 20 pounds; and the ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather and temperature conditions.

The City of Rocklin is looking for a part-time Senior Maintenance Worker to assist in the Parks Division of the Parks & Recreation Department. THE POSITION

Tri-City Mental Health Authority (“Tri-City”) is now actively recruiting for Chief Clinical Officer.  The Chief Clinical Officer will be responsible for developing, planning, organizing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating Tri-City's Child/Family and Adult Services treatment departments. This position works closely with the Agency Medical Director to ensure there is a focus on whole-person/integrated care for all Tri-City clients. The Chief Clinical Officer is an executive management position and reports to the Executive Director.

A brief summary of additional responsibilities for this position are included, but not limited to:

• Advise and assist the Executive Director in planning and organizing other mental health programs within the Agency to supplement and enhance the clinical services in order to create a comprehensive system of care.

• Plan and organize the development of a comprehensive system of care which utilizes all of the available resources within the community, including other public and private institutions.

• Develop and implement policies and procedures for clinical operations; determine standards of treatment; evaluate the effectiveness of program services provided by the Agency; oversee mandated and discretionary quality assurance mechanisms; determine priorities of services to be provided, including program expansion, reduction, or elimination based on Agency policy and legislative mandates.

• Provide direct services to clients under appropriate scope of practice.

• Analyze and prepare recommendations on proposed legislation; interpret and disseminate local, county, State, and federal policy and regulations pertaining to mental health services; and monitor implementation and compliance of legislated regulations and standards.

• Act as liaison to other health care, community, private and public agencies concerning community service and program needs.

• Prepare all clinical services departments’ budgets; review and analyze all program budgets for inclusion in the departments’ budget; provide justifications for items to the Executive Director; review and develop recommendations on expenditure requests and budget variances.

• Participate in proposal/grant writing; determine program services standards and evaluation; and serve as program resource on grant-related matters.

• Develop and implement mandated and discretionary quality assurance monitoring procedures and other duties as assigned.

THE POSITION

Tri-City is looking for a special individual to serve as a Clinical Therapist I or II for the Children’s Outpatient Program (COP) in the Child & Family Clinic. The Clinical Therapist I/II will appeal to individuals who are passionate about working with children, adolescents, young adults and their families.  The Clinical Therapist I/II will report to a Clinical Supervisor.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Provide individual, family, group therapy for children, adolescents, and youth with mental illness and their families;

• Provide crisis intervention as needed; collaborate with schools, DCFS and probation as needed;

• Provide field and office services; complete all DMH documentation;

• Conduct mental health assessments, sessions, treatment plans;

• Ensure that documentation is updated in Electronic Health Record (EHR) regularly;

• Other duties as assigned, etc.

Position:

Under direct supervision of the Activity Manager, provides fun and safe activities for youth. Hiring for positions now.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Conduct various recreational activities, teach arts and crafts, assist in tournaments, or do related work as assigned; coach and supervise sports activities; assist with special events; assist in implementing emergency procedures; enforce park rules and regulations; follow city policies and procedures; and completes other assigned duties.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Working with youth in organized, well-structured activities.
 

Knowledge of:

Emergency, safety procedures, supervision and age appropriate recreational activities.
 

Ability to:

Communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing; understand and carry-out oral and written instructions; work cooperatively with other people contacted in the course of work; and interact successfully with youth.
 

Requirements

Leader I: must be at least 16 years of age upon appointment, interested in recreation activities and desire to work with youth.

Leader II: education equivalent to graduation from high school, background in recreation, ECE, and other fields working with children.
 

Certificates:

Standard First Aid Certificate and Community Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate required. Training opportunities provided upon hiring.
 

Work Permit:

All appointees under age 18 will be required to have a work permit prior to beginning work.

Salary:             Five step scale based on experience and years of service

Activity Leader I:        $13.00 - $14.00
Activity Leader II:       $13.75 - $14.75

Building Maintenance Supervisor: Under general direction, plans, supervises and assists in performance of a variety of building maintenance activities, including supervision of capital projects, at City buildings; and performs related work as required.

Typical Duties: Schedules, assigns and supervises work of Building Maintenance employees; supervises, trains and evaluates subordinates, including full‑time building maintenance employees and temporary part‑time employees; prepares maintenance schedules and assigns work orders; is responsible for requisition and control of inventories of supplies and equipment; obtains quotations for maintenance projects and equipment and prepares purchasing documentation; is responsible for development of specifications for and work performed by contractual custodial services and contractors performing repairs; investigates maintenance problems reported by City employees or Community Center tenants; assists with a variety of building maintenance activities which may include set‑up activities, heating and air conditioning, boiler, plumbing, electrical or pool maintenance, and painting; make minor repairs and contact contractors when significant malfunctions occur; plan, assign, and coordinate the repair, maintenance, and construction of public buildings and facilities; perform routine building inspections; assist in the preparation and administration of program budget; may be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays; and performs other related duties as required.

Education and Experience: Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.  College and/or post-secondary training in a related field is highly desirable. Five years of responsible experience involving building maintenance and custodial duties, including three years of experience in a supervisory or lead capacity.

This is a part-time, year-round position.

• Patrol field, park and offsite facilities to monitor rental schedules and permitted use.
• Act as a liaison to the outdoor recreational community for the Recreation Department.
