Maintenance Worker II: This is the journey level class in the maintenance series. Under general supervision the applicant will perform semi-skilled and skilled labor and maintenance repair. Salary $44,680.45 - $57,743.03 per year ($21.484 - $27.758 per hour) DOQ

Maintenance Worker III: This is the senior level class in the maintenance series. Under limited supervision the applicant will organize, assign, review, and participate in the work of assigned personnel engaged in maintenance equipment operation work pertaining to building, maintenance and repair. Salary $48,664.92 - $62,892.37 per year ($23.399 - $30.234 per hour) DOQ 

Maintenance Worker Lead: This is the lead level class in the maintenance series. Under direction of supervisory and management staff performs a variety of duties related to scheduling, planning, assigning, and prioritizing construction and maintenance related projects. Exercises technical and functional supervision over staff engaged in maintenance and repair activities. Salary $53,531.42 - $69,181.61 per year ($25.740 - $33.261 per hour) DOQ

The Capital Project Manager I-II (CPM I-II) is part of the Engineering & Construction department at Midpen and we have two vacancies. While both positions will emphasize capital project management, one will focus on construction management and the other will focus on design. Midpen’s Capital Project Managers foster communication and collaboration with other Midpen departments to coordinate project requirements, work with local jurisdictional agencies to fulfill project permitting requirements, interact with project design consultants and contractors, and maintain project documentation.  Midpen is looking for well-qualified applicants who have demonstrated expertise supporting projects from conceptual design through construction. The first of the two positions will focus on construction project management – evaluating the constructability of a project during design, assisting with bidding, award of contract and managing construction oversight to completion. Capital Project Manager I is an entry-level position.  The incumbent will have acquired capital improvement, open space planning and design, land use, natural resource protection, and/or public administration experience, or equivalent education and training.  Assignments are generally limited in scope and set within procedural frameworks. The CPM I is assigned to manage small-scale projects or in support of larger scale projects managed by experienced Capital Project Managers.

Capital Project Manager II is the first experienced-level class in the Capital Project Manager series.  The incumbent performs the basic range of engineering review and construction management duties and/or conceptual design in the following areas: capital improvement, open space / public access, land use, and natural resource protection. The CPM II typically performs most of the duties required of the CPM III but are not expected to function at the same skill level.  Applicants with construction inspection, civil engineering, landscape architecture, project management, and/or construction management backgrounds are highly desired.

Work Environment/Conditions:  This position is part of the Engineering and Construction Department at the Midpen’s offices in Los Altos, California. Midpen offers a hybrid office/telecommute work schedule for this position.

Capital Project Managers will often work in the field and hike through steep terrain and wildland areas with poison oak and wildlife.  Field work will require driving in remote areas on dirt roads, working in temperatures ranging from cold and blustery to hot and dry. The Santa Clara City Library is a department of the City and has positioned itself as a dynamic community hub, providing access to information, literacy resources, educational programming, and promotes civic engagement in Santa Clara. The Position: 

This is a paraprofessional supervisory position in the classified service. The Library Circulation Supervisor is the highest level in the paraprofessional class in the Library Department, providing supervision and management for the largest number of work unit staff in the department, as well as day to day library operation. The Circulation Unit is the first line of staff that meets the public, and customer service and satisfaction are essential. The Circulation Unit is responsible for customer accounts, cash handling, effective material circulation, distribution and shelving, resource sharing, and daily delivery to all library and city locations as needed. The incumbent manages the schedule of the team, maintains standards of strong customer service for the library system through well-developed circulation processes and procedures that emphasize access and equity, and is responsible for the overall supervision of the Circulation Unit, as well as the safe operation and maintenance of circulation technology, including automated materials handling sorters and self-check machines. This position involves coordinating staffing and service procedures with the branch libraries, library bookmobile, as well as working closely with Technology for equipment support as well as with multiple vendors. The Circulation Supervisor is a member of the Library Management Team, and often acts as supervisor-in-charge. Strong communication, management and leadership experience and executive practice in fostering positive working environment, ability to work independently and within a team, supportive personnel practices, troubleshooting, patience, and flexibility will be key characteristics of this individual.

• Three (3) years of recent full-time paraprofessional library experience, two (2) years of which have been at the level of Senior Library Assistant for the Santa Clara City Library or equivalent; or
• Three (3) years of recent full-time paraprofessional library experience involving public contact and computerized circulation systems, including two (2) years of recent supervisory experience

Acceptable Substitution: 

• Completion of a two year Library Technology Associate of Arts degree may be substituted for one year of paraprofessional library experience.

License/Certifications: 

• Possession of an appropriate, valid California Class C driver's license is required at time of appointment and for the duration of employment.

Other Requirements:  

• Must be able to perform all the essential functions of the job assignment
