The Public Service Assistant (PSA) II is assigned to the Police Department’s Red-Light Camera Unit. Under direct supervision of the Traffic Enforcement Project Specialist, the Public Service Assistant II will perform administrative tasks in support of the Police Department’s Red-Light Camera Unit. This position is a temporary/part-time appointment and may work up to 20 hours a week.

The Administrative Assistant (Class: 216-Administrative Assistant I) will perform general clerical work and assist with Operations and Ranger Division administrative tasks. Work will focus on the prompt and accurate completion of timesheets, expense reports and other forms for 20-30 employees assigned to multiple locations to ensure compliance with agency procedure and obstacle-free financial processing. Moderate proficiency in Spanish (verbal) is highly desired.

BASIC FUNCTION:
Under the direction of the Accounting/Budgeting Supervisor, perform a wide variety of professional District-wide accounting and internal auditing duties; assure compliance with applicable laws, codes rules and regulations such as the Governmental Accounting Standard Board (GASB) pronouncements; maintain books of accounts for federal, State and local categorical programs; prepare a variety of financial statements, records and reports.
