About the Position: Midpen aims to recruit and retain employees who embody professionalism, accountability, and respect, who value working in a purpose-driven agency that aspires to contribute to an inclusive and diverse community. Top level candidates have experience playing a crucial role in supporting the execution of key technology initiatives. The IST Management Analyst coordinates budget management, oversees contract administration, and develops policies and procedures to enhance IT operations. This role also involves tracking and monitoring tasks, developing timelines, and ensuring the successful implementation of GIS/IT strategic and cybersecurity plans. Additionally, the analyst collaborates with staff to understand and address their technology needs by gathering business requirements, identifying technology pain points, and researching solutions. The position also includes configuring dashboards for data visualization of key metrics. The work of the IST Management Analyst I-II will help drive efficiency and innovation across Midpen’s IT landscape.
IST Management Analyst II supports the work of departmental management staff by conducting day-to-day administrative support activities and by providing professional-level resource for organizational, managerial, and operational analyses and studies. The incumbent performs the full range of duties as assigned, works independently and exercises a high level of judgment and initiative.
IST Management Analyst II Annual Pay Range: $108,485-$135,484
IST Management Analyst I performs most of the professional analytical, technical, and administrative support work as the IST Management Analyst II, but is not expected to function at the same skill level.

Work Environment/Conditions: This position is part of Administrative Services at Midpen’s office in Los Altos, California. Midpen offers a hybrid office/telecommute work schedule for this position.

Education and Experience: any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in business administration, public administration, or a closely related field, and:
- IST Management Analyst I: one (1) year of responsible analytical experience.
- IST Management Analyst II: three (3) years of professional analytical experience equivalent to Management Analyst I at Midpen.
Licenses & Certifications Required: Possession of a valid California Driver’s License.
