The County of Yuba is currently recruiting for a Senior Accountant-Auditor in the Auditor-Controller Department. Under general direction organizes, assigns, and reviews the work of assigned personnel engaged in the performance of professional accounting and auditing duties; performs duties requiring specialized knowledge; provides administrative support to assigned supervisor; oversees the preparation of the County tax rolls; apportions property tax revenues and produces revenue projects; prepares and maintains a variety of complex accounting records and performs other duties as assigned. Employees at this level are required to be fully trained in all procedures related to assigned areas of responsibility. This is the advanced journey professional level in the accounting series.    

 

Example of Duties:

• Oversees the preparation of  and prepares County final tax rolls for submission to the Treasurer/Tax Collector; maintains property tax records and files and ensures that rolls are correct and distributions appropriate.
•  Apportions property tax revenues and produces revenue projects for budget purposes; prepares budget transfers and implements such transfers after approval by the Board of Supervisors.

The Procurement Division of the County Executive's Office is seeking well-qualified candidates for the position of Buyer II.  Under general supervision, this Buyer will provide a full range of detailed and complex procurement services for the Information Services Department.
   
 Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Receive, review, and check purchase requisitions related to technology purchases to determine needs of the Information Services Department, market conditions, and product availability. 
• Consult and assist the Information Services Department with product selection and procurement methods.

The Department

DEFINITION:

Under administrative direction, plans, organizes, manages, and provides direction and oversight for all functions and activities of the Planning Department, including current and advanced planning, code enforcement, building permits, economic development, environmental sustainability, open space acquisition and management, and housing; coordinates assigned activities with other Town departments and outside agencies; other assigned duties, and provides complex administrative support to the Town Manager.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:

ABOUT THE POSITION
The City of Redwood City Public Works Services Department invites you to apply for the position of Water Resources Technician. This position reports to report to the Utilities Field Supervisor and performs customer support services and assists with the implementation of water conservation programs and recycled water use guidelines.

This position within the Agricultural Department assists with performing a variety of tasks primarily related to agriculture and weights and measures. This includes weights and measures programs, pest detection, noxious weed control, pest exclusion, pest eradication, pesticide use enforcement, seed law, nursery, and apiary programs. This position is scheduled for forty (40) hours per week. 
 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Operate pest detection trapping routes and conduct pest surveys; collect and submit specimens for identification. 
• Conduct surveys and compile noxious weed location records; service and maintain spray equipment.
• Assist in livestock scale testing, test and seal retail motor fuel dispensers and other petroleum meters. 
• Perform minor repairs on traps and equipment, clean traps and equipment.
• Maintain inventory on traps and equipment.
• Perform a variety of administrative technical work in the department to which assigned.
• Perform  related duties as assigned.
