Clinical Supervisor I $92,262.82 - $117,880.00

THE POSITION
Tri-City is now actively recruiting for a Clinical Supervisor I or II to lead the MHSSA Grant Team within Tri-City's Child & Family Clinic. This position is a part of a newly federally funded MHSSA Grant Team set to end in December 2026 The Clinical Supervisor I/II position will report to the Clinical Program Manager and will supervise a four staff including Clinical Therapists and Mental Health Specialists.
This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:
- Collaborate with grant partners, assisting with partner meetings and meeting all grant requirements, i.e. data gathering, service implementation, maintaining ongoing collaboration and participating in trainings);
- Provide individual and group supervision to MHSSA Grant staff including clinicians and mental health support workers; train on Department of Mental Health documentation & review documentation to ensure compliance;
- Will provide guidance to subordinates on Agency philosophy, goals, objectives, policies and procedures through casework conferences, staff meetings, and work review;
- Will participate in creating programs that will increase access to mental health services in locations throughout the community that are easily accessible for students and their families;
- Create and foster partnerships with the local school districts, County Office of Education and local charter schools;
- Work directly with or work with staff who work directly with at high-risk youth, foster youth, youth who identify as LGBTQ+, and youth who have been suspended or expelled from school and their families to provide culturally inclusive and relevant mental health services such as early intervention, suicide prevention, drop-out prevention, evidence based mental health practices and the development and coordination of service plans to address ongoing needs;
- Will assist and participate in the development and coordination of in-service training and staff development programs;
- Will analyze existing caseloads and forecast resource needs; May also carry a caseload;
- Will implement and ensure compliance with mandated documentation and quality assurance requirements to ensure efficient and effective operation of the unit in compliance with federal and state regulations;
- Participate in the monthly on-call rotation and provide crisis interview & assessments; and other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
QUALIFICATIONS
Clinical Supervisor I: Two years of post-license professional experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting providing direct client services which must have included: client assessment and evaluation, development and implementation of appropriate treatment plans, providing psychotherapy or behavioral health counseling, and providing indirect services involving information, consultation, and educational services to staff and community. At least two years of supervisory experience in a mental health/co-occurring disorders setting preferred.
Clinical Supervisor II: Four years of experience as a Clinical Supervisor I or the equivalent managerial/supervisory experience in a mental health/co-occurring disorders setting including experience in a responsible management capacity.
LICENSURE: Possession of a valid license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist issued by the California State Board of Behavioral Science Examiners.
Candidates recruited from out-of-state must possess an out-of-state license to practice in one of the above stated options. Individuals hired under this option shall obtain their license to practice issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences within three years of date of hire. During the interim three years, the incumbent shall be eligible for a Mental Health Professional Licensing Waiver Request approved by the State of California Health and Human Services Agency.
Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record and current, valid automobile insurance or perform field duties as required.
Preferred candidates will be bilingual in Spanish, but not required.
Preferred candidates will have experience using Electronic Health Record (EHR).
Any combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential duties of the position is qualifying. The incumbents will possess the most desirable combination of education, training, skills, and experience, as demonstrated in their past and current employment history. Candidates may be hired above the minimum salary range depending on qualifications (DOQ).

CalPERS Pension: 2% @ 55 for Classic Members and 2% @ 62 for PEPRA Members; employee contributes 7% for Classic and 6.75% for PEPRA. No Social Security.
Vacation: 80 hours per year, increasing with years of service with a maximum of 240 hours; cash out option available.

Health Insurance: Medical (Kaiser HMO), dental (MetLife PPO) and vision coverage (EyeMed) of which 80% is paid by Tri-City Mental Health Authority (TCMHA).
Life Insurance: Paid at one times annual salary, paid by Tri-City MHA with additional optional coverage available.
Deferred Compensation (457b): Available to interested employees; no employer match.
