THE POSITION

Tri-City is looking for an individual to serve as a Clinical Supervisor I for the ALL DEPARTMENTS. Duties include, planning, organizing and directing the work of clinical, professional, & technical staff & providing behavioral health services to individuals & families. The Clinical Supervisor I position will report to the Clinical Program Manager.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

  • Coordinate, supervise, and direct the clinical, operational and program activities, inclusive of unit personnel, on a day-to-day basis to meet unit objectives;

 

  • Provide individual supervision, documentation review, urgent intake assessments, crisis assessments, assist Clinical Program Manager with trainings and meetings, ensuring Network Adequacy and processes and protocols are followed;

 

  • Assist with the supervision, oversight and development of the Therapeutic Garden Program.

 

  • Assist with data collection and board reports for the Therapeutic Garden Program and Assess to Care Department.

 

  • Consult with Clinical Program Manager regarding program goals, activities, policies, and procedures; make recommendations on programmatic, clinical and administrative policies; regularly update program policies and procedures; and implement and enforce policies and procedures.

 

  • Supervise, train, evaluate, and participate in the selection of student interns, subordinate clinical staff, Behavioral Health Specialists and Clinical Therapists I/II; and initiate and participate in personnel actions in accordance with the Agency’s human resources practices and procedures.

 

  • Make or review decisions on difficult client assessment and casework matters; supervise the timely and accurate submission of activity logs of assigned staff; and review caseload and task/needs reports for accuracy and timely changes & other duties as assigned.

Ideal Candidate

LICENSE: Possession of a valid license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist issued by the California State Board of Behavioral Science (BBS). 

Two years of post-license professional experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting providing direct client services which must have included: client assessment and evaluation, development and implementation of appropriate treatment plans, providing psychotherapy or behavioral health counseling, and providing indirect services involving information, consultation, and educational services to staff and community.

Candidates must have the ability to supervise and sign off on BBS hours for clinical staff. 

Spanish bilingual candidates and candidates with Electronic Health Record (EHR) experience are preferred but not required.

Any combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential duties of the position is qualifying. The incumbents will possess the most desirable combination of education, training, skills, and experience, as demonstrated in their past and current employment history. *Candidates may be hired above the minimum salary range depending on qualifications (DOQ).

FULL-TIME EMPLOYEE BENEFITS:

NEW!  Sign-on Bonuses:  $2500 for eligible positions.

Merit Salary Increases: Annually based on performance, budget availability and supervisor approval.

CalPERS Pension: 2% @ 55 for Classic Members and 2% @ 62 for PEPRA Members; employee contributes 7% for Classic and 7.75% for PEPRA. No Social Security. 

Vacation:  80 hours per year, increasing with years of service with a maximum of 240 hours; cash out option available.

Sick Leave: Full-Time employees = 88 hours per year with no cap.

Holidays: 11 paid holidays per calendar year plus an additional 16 hours of Floating Holidays.

NEW!  Longevity Pay: $2500 at 5 years of service; $5000 at 10-35 milestone years of service.

REVISED!  Flexible Work Schedule: 9/80, 4/10 and/or intermittent teleworking, where applicable and approved by supervisor. **

Health Insurance:  Medical (Kaiser HMO), dental (MetLife PPO) and vision coverage (EyeMed) of which 80% is paid by Tri-City Mental Health Authority (TCMHA).

Life Insurance: Paid at one times annual salary, paid by Tri-City MHA with additional optional coverage available.

Deferred Compensation (457b): Available to interested employees; no employer match.
