County San Diego Board of Supervisors

The County Government is composed of the elected five-member Board of Supervisors, several other elected offices and officers including the Sheriff, the District Attorney, Assessor/Recorder/County Clerk, Treasurer/Tax Collector, and numerous county departments and entities under the supervision of the Chief Administrative Officer.

County government offices are housed in the historic County Administration Center constructed during the late 1930’s. Today, it still serves as a focal point and meeting place for both community members and visitors to the region. The County workforce is approximately 20,000.
The Strategic Plan for the County was recently updated, further demonstrating a shift in priorities and direction, by the Board of Supervisors. The Strategic Plan focuses on five key areas with well-defined actions for each area:

Sustainability
Equity
Empower
Community
Justice
