Description
The City of Wheatland is looking for an experienced City Clerk. The Clerk is the Elections Official, Legislative Administrator, Records Manager, Website Administrator and performs related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Wheatland, with a population of approximately 4000 people, is one of only two incorporated cities
in Yuba County. It is nestled at the northeastern edge of California’s vast Sacramento Valley. Located 34 miles north of Sacramento, 107 miles north of San Francisco and 417 miles north of Los Angeles.
Qualified applicants shall have four years of increasingly responsible experience performing specialized clerical administrative duties, including a minimum of two years within a City Clerk’s office. Applicant shall have the equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade, supplemented by specialized training in business administration or a related field. It is desirable for the applicant to have obtained a Certified Municipal Clerk designation.
