The City of Healdsburg is currently recruiting a Fire Inspector to join our team! From inspections, to plan reviews, to code compliance, to fire prevention education, to investigating the cause and origin of fires - this position offers a variety of exciting ways to make a big impact in the community. In addition, the Fire Inspector will have the opportunity to participate in fire suppression and medical response activities.
As a key member of the Fire Department, the future Fire Inspector has the unique opportunity to work closely with colleagues across department lines – including Police, Public Works, Code Enforcement and Community Development. This role will be responsible for enforcing laws related to fire prevention, suppression, and investigation, contributing to the overall safety of the community. The ideal candidate is collaborative, detail-oriented, committed to fire safety, possesses a strong understanding of fire codes, and is ready to hit the ground running.
The Fire Inspector works 40 hours/week. The salary range for the Fire Inspector is $8,939.44 to $10,906.97 per month. Bilingual in English/Spanish highly desired. Experience in CUPA/Hazardous Materials programs highly desired.
