Description

Interviews will be held during the week. First interview will be at 3:30PM and the last will be at 4:45PM. Please plan accordingly if you are invited. Youth Basketball games start Saturday, February 28th D.O.Q and your availability you may be asked to be a Might Mite instructor on 2/10, 2/12, 2/17, 2/19 from 5:30PM to 6:45PM.

Individuals must be able to officiate and control games, events, and competitions in a confident, appropriate manner. Ensure all participants understand and comply with game rules and assess penalties when needed. Make game calls with confidence and knowledge of league rules. Keep track of event start times, and start or stop play as necessary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBITIES:

Assist in ensuring that each day is well organized prior to the start time.
Communicate with parents and players.
Assist in ensuring that all games begin and end on time.
Set up and clean up all equipment at the end of games and make sure it is placed in its proper location.
Ensure that all instructions are carried with honesty, care, respect, and responsibility.
Build and maintain close and positive relationships with participants and parents.
Maintain a safe environment at all times.

Ideal Candidate

MINIMUN QUALIFICATIONS

Must be willing to work on Saturdays (Game days)
Must be willing to work on some weekdays if necessary
Ability to work with players and coaches is highly desirable
Applicants must be at least 16 years old
Ability to develop and maintain a high standard of professional conduct and civil responsibility.
Knowledge & understanding of the rules of Basketball
Understanding the position of the referee
Ability to lift and move boxes and equipment of various weights; climb ladders as needed
Ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Ability to climb, push, and pull.
Ability to lift and carry objects up to 45 pounds.
Ability to run up and down the basketball court.
