Summer Day Camps

Looking for individuals who are passionate about making a difference and having fun outdoors! If entering your senior year of high school, are in college or beyond, this could be a perfect fit. Our five all-day summer camps run from June 15 to August 14, with staff training beginning June 8. Serving children ages 4-12 at multiple locations, these positions serve as role models to youth campers throughout the Conejo Valley, leading arts and crafts, recreation games, swimming, hiking and more!

Locations throughout Thousand Oaks and Newbury Park

Weekdays; hours vary between 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Positions: Camp Director, Senior Camp Counselor, Camp Counselor

Community Centers
Work with a variety of age groups teaching classes and assisting with special events

Locations: Borchard, Conejo, Dos Vientos and Thousand Oaks Community Center

Positions: Recreation Leader

Open daily, flexible work hours

Day Camps for individuals with disabilities
Serving youth, teens and young adults with physical and intellectual disabilities

Locations: Multiple Thousand Oaks Locations

Positions: Camp Director, Senior Camp Counselor, Camp Counselor

Weekdays; hours vary between 7:30 AM - 9:00 PM

Qualifications Summary

Camp Directors- 30 college units completed preferred, with at least 1,500 hours of related experience
Senior Camp Counselor- 15 college units completed preferred, 500 hours of related experience preferred
Recreation Leader- 15 college units completed preferred, 500 hours of related experience preferred
Camp Counselors- High School Diploma (or GED), 250 hours of related experience preferred
 

Successful candidates must pass Department of Justice fingerprint and
Tuberculosis (TB) screening clearances prior to the start of employment.
