Description

The Program Manager leads and participates in activities related to organizing program activities associated with the development and implementation of energy efficiency, conservation, renewable energy, and demand-side resource management programs for Pioneer customers. Duties include:
- Coordinating Programs Division activities with those of other division and outside agencies and organizations; coordinating use of staff time and resources with Director of Communications.
- Researching, developing, and implementing various energy efficiency and conservation programs for residential, large and small retail commercial electric utility customers, tenant improvements, new residential construction, and retrofit projects; updating and modifying existing programs to make best use of new technology in response to customer needs and to reduce electric utility demands and operating costs.
- Assisting with designing energy efficiency and other demand-side management programs including developing metrics to gauge program success.
- Managing and implementing energy efficiency or other demand-side management programs.
- Providing feedback on the performance of staff involved in the implementation of energy efficiency, conservation, renewable energy, and demand-side resource management programs.
- Researching products to improve electric energy efficiency; reviewing electric industry and various market sectors for best practices; identifying new technology and products that are available to customers and meets the demographics of the community.
- Conducting research including surveys and analysis regarding public opinion about the value of and demand for energy efficiency programs.
- Researching and reviewing grant opportunities; completing and submitting grant application and administering grants; developing and implementing programs consistent with grant requirements.
Qualified candidates will have an ability identify, design, and administer programs that result in energy/cost savings for customers and perform complex calculations related to energy efficiency and perform energy audits.
Any combination of experience and training that would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities would be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge, skills and abilities would be:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Business Administration, Environmental Science, or a related field.
AND
Experience:
Two years of experience in the development and implementation of energy efficiency, conservation, renewable energy, and demand-side resource management programs.
OR
Five years of experience working at a CCA or utility with direct involvement in the development and implementation of energy efficiency, conservation, renewable energy, and demand-side resource management programs.
The salary range is $128,679 - $192,372, with placement dependent on qualifications with generous benefits.
