The Department:
The Assistant City Clerk's Office provides information and services to help the community fully participate in government. The Assistant City Clerk's Office is responsible for supporting Board and Commissions with the recruitment and selection process and City Council/Stadium Authority agenda process, including compliance with all federal, state, and local statutes. The Assistant City Clerk’s Office maintains City records and responds to public records requests. The Assistant City Clerk’s Office assists the City Clerk with conducting the municipal elections. The Assistant City Clerk's Office is your partner in democracy.
The Position:
This position will perform customer service duties including, but not limited to, answering the phones, monitoring the Clerk email inbox, and assisting customers at the front counter. Additional duties include sorting and distributing mail, assisting with Public Records Requests, assisting with the City’s Boards and Commissions processes, tracking ethics training, assisting with finance account payables/receivables, and records management in Laserfiche, Zyfind, and Corodota.

The annual salary range for this position is $82,963.44 - $106,206.48. This position may be filled at or near the minimum of the salary range.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Education Requirements:
Graduation from high school or its equivalent.
Minimum Experience Requirements:
One (1) year of general clerical experience is required. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required.

Desirable Qualifications:
Computer proficiency using databases is desirable. Bilingual skills desirable (Spanish preferred).
Special Conditions:
Incumbents of this classification may be required to work unusual hours and weekends in the performance of their duties.
